Although I truly appreciate the efforts made by SC and ECI to decriminalise politics what happens if all the fielded candidates from a constituency have criminal charges- they can simply advertise and contest elections and people have no option rather than to chose among criminals. Why don't we empower NOTA- such that if it gets certain percentage/more votes polled, the election to that particular constituency must be cancelled and it should be made mandatory for political parties to field new candidates. Also NOTA option must be placed on TOP of EVM instead of placing it at bottom - this option can also be considered.
You have a point there. But once this law becomes the norm then people will become aware then parties will have no choice but to have someone with a clean record to have an edge over the other.
@@rahulmathew4970 Your point is right in my last electoral voting in 2019 i have pressed the NOTA button and i fill proud of it because i am heavily disappoint with both the member of parliament as well as state legislative assembly and i want the vote count of NOTA to be rise and it should be the fisrt button on the EVM rather than as the last button.

False cases can be filed on anyone and the courts take years together to convict or declare approver. At this rate, the courts are to be blamed for no reforms.

How is sadhvi pragya a terror "accused" when court has given clean chit to her? Who are you to decide whether a person is accused or victim.
They should make criminal charges mandatory in all official announcements. So if a minister is at an international summit or TV appearance or in-person appearance, they should introduce him like "We welcome Honorable Minister XYZ from India, charged with 5 murders, 16 rapes including 2 minors, 5 cases of fraud, money laundering and trafficking of drugs, women, and children". Just like in the UK where they announce honors for a person. For some there may not be enough space on the television screen to show all the charges. lol

Why contempt or actions by EC? Straight away, if they are the culprit and don't publish the data over social media, cancellation of there seats. And what is the point of them declaring their criminal background to the public? If any criminal person isn't allowed to get any job then how come they can think of becoming a political face? They should not be allowed at all, EC should not give them a green signal. Cases should be given priority, like Rape and murder related should not be allowed at all. They have to make judiciary strong.

Why there is No Education Cap or some type of Entrance exam like we have for upsc,ca,gate.Politicians run the country they enjoy so much benefits being in power than many people who have passed such exam so there should be a criteria for politicians to be enrolled for elections. if there is any cleansing it should be in our judicial system. It's slow, old and inconsistent. judgement varies by bench. we should introduce jury system and give more powers to president at least some federal agencies like CBI, ED , ARMY, NAVY, IAF. and conduct president elections separately.
