have.... have you seen Monfils' matches throughout his career? horrendous shot selection all the time, doesn't matter with which of the 9 coaches he's had it's 100% Monfils' issue
@@parkhae-il9211 This has nothing to do with age (in fact, many older players play more aggressively to shorten the rallies). Monfils has always been a defensive player. Many fans have been misled by some of his hotshots and highlights, thinking his tennis is some creative fireworks, but in reality he makes a couple of hot shots a year, and 99% of the time, he's a defensive, dull player.
His stamina has always been his biggest problem. It was the same problem for him 10, 12 years ago as it is now. He has always been a sprinter, not a marathoner. He has always been crumbling, gasping and falling apart in exhausting matches.
I mean, he did beat Alcaraz in the US Open (where Alcaraz is the defending champion) and Sinner in Wimbledon this year he's still very dangerous when he is on
It's not his downfall. Admittedly, this was not his greatest year but I have no doubt he'll bounce back stronger. Can still win a couple of slams in his career.
Are you aware that Medvedev's technique is overall unorthodox? It's not injury, that's how he hits the ball. I'm more worried about his serve because his first serve %s have gone down this year.
Can see Gilles is really happy of Meddy's Win, happy to see them both working together
2:05 sick!
Super Danill👍
This court is so clean
Too big tho
@parkhae-il9211 nahhh, it's better. Even better for a player like Med with a strange court positioning 😂
@@parkhae-il9211every court has the same size, it's just the camera position

According to these highlights Monfils won all the battles...but lost the war
He is son an law of Ukraine 😂😅
Let's go Octopus!
Great match from Daniil. 👍😍
Мэдвэдэв 🎉❤
Oh. Yes. Meddy. ❤
1:58 Goodness!!! This was one heck of a point.
Too good he is❤
1:06 Medvedev returning from the back office :D:D
Go Monfils❤
One of the first things I was taught as young player growing up on clay, drop shot a drop shot! I believe you see the value!
Умница❤
Monfils's athletic abilities at his age is just incredible
Monfils will always be the best! It is amazing to watch a match of Gael!
omg point at 1:58 is 🔥🔥🔥
Certaines balles de Monfils restent d'un autre monde
Медведев начало хорошее, удачи!!!
Gaël fire that coach. Playing Medi without coming to the net is a poor strategy

Not to be stereotypical but that's how old players move now
Defensively

Even on his last legs Gael always brings in the clicks.
Gael agaunt top tens feels like he always stands a chance and he doesnt at the same time
Unfortunately Monfils' stamina is his achilles heel these days. The tennis is still there but he gets tired so quickly.
He's 37. What do you expect?😂😂

Almost all the points shown are from Monfils, and he lost the game. I don't understand. Be more unbiased
Did you see the dbl faults?
Monfils looks disgusted, like, "What do I actually have to *do* to beat this guy?"

This Monfils was boring, when he played alcaraz and sinner he brought us entertainment
Looks like he plays for the sake of it. Can’t see any ambition
