Hi Ben, I've recently discovered your channel and your store. Thanks so much for videos like this. Your breakdowns are fantastic. They are detailed and informative and, I hope, useful (I only say that because I haven't been out fishing to try some of this yet!). My first shipment of this bait arrives today! I'm excited to try them out, so this was a timely video. Thanks again and I look forward to the next breakdown!
Damn great job Ben! I bought a few of these from you on Black Friday, can’t wait till the end of June to use them. Love all your content. Thanks from Toronto!
Imo what sets this bait apart is the quiver action it has when falling weightless- it falls like a senko. Those front appendages sort of wiggle in place as it falls, bass love that slight quivering action on the fall. If you free rig it the weight pulls it down a couple feet and it's kicking and bucking- and then it just stalls out and starts falling very slowly in a horizontal orientation with that slight quiver= getting bit. P.S.- If you're like me and lie the heavier wire hooks Owner makes a little hook called a "rigging" hook- they're tiny but made from heavier wire so they don't bend out.
My chick got me a mystery box of free rigging baits and there were 4 packs of the 3.5 Dolive Beaver in various colors. Also two packs of 3.5 Dolive stick baits and one pack of the 3.6 HO Shadtail. Super stoked to try this technique and baits!
I love to fish the 3" and 3.5" on the jika rig on perch. Dude pretty nice Videos. When im usa i defnetly come to visit you and buy some great stuff. Greetings from Germany
You can downsize the hook in order to burry the knot inside the bait if anyone is afraid of the weight damaging the knot. Can also skip a free rigged beaver with a little practice and get it into places you wouldn't even think of throwing finesse. Buy a bunch of packs and some mend it and that's all you need to catch fish!
I just bought my first handful of Dolive Beaver's from you guys a few weeks ago. Living in WI it'll be a few months before I can fish them. They look great, but I kind of hope I don't do well with them. Just because of the $10 for 5 baits would make me go broke eventually lol. Whereas the Sweet Beaver is $5 for 10 baits.
I’m a big fan of spinning gear but I found out these tiny free rigged beavers were more enjoyable to retrieve on finesse baitcasting gear. Got a Loomis 892C jwr GLX from you last year and man that rod can launch these tiny presentation on the nano braid
Ben ever try the dolive beaver on the zappu rpz punch shot I had some success with it last year and it had great action with a very light weight 5.0g. It makes those claws thump a little harder on the fall and then. When slowly swimming it near bottom letting it bounce off cover or rocks with a pause and then lift rod tip and let fall back down. They look great doing that with that hook.
I used the RPZ last year a bit - and dug it! Definitely a little different look. I also snagged them way more than the free rig, so I don't throw them as much. But - it definitely does what you're saying which could make a difference!
You definitely can. These are pretty soft plastic, so if you need a super durable bait for punching these are not the ones. But, the 4" on a Flippin hook works great for me for lighter duty Flippin.
This may be a stretch…but is the triza ageha sort of a travel windbuster? Could I free rig as well as throw okashira screw heads and maybe a small crank?
Hey, Ben. Any update as to when the Orochi XX Leviathans are going to be back in stock? Trying to get an idea as to how much I need to save monthly and incorporate into my budget.
When can we expect an OSP hat restock, or hat restocks in general? I've heard they instantaneously make you a better angler. Also, the LC area's. Slaying trout up here in Colorado with those. Arigatō.
Area's are in - we should inventory them in the next week or so. OSP hat's - everything we have instock now is probably all we're going to have for a while. Unless they come out with something fresh!

Great video Ben👍...one the best free rig videos I've seen👊
Thank you for watching! 🍻
This was my #1 soft plastic last year. Definitely brought in some $$ for me!
Awesome! 👊🍻

You're going to catch so many fish!
I will have to give these a try, thanks for the info.

Thank you thank you thank you for going through the motions on the free rig retrieve.
Thank you for watching!
You got me sold on this bait, I will be purchasing some thanks for the videos and tips keep em coming.
Thank you for watching, and thank you for your business!
Great video. Ordered some and a couple of the Megabass Z3’s. Can’t wait to try them out. Cheers 🍻
Sweet! Thank you for your business!
Probably one of my favorites as well as the Dolive Sticks.
I’m with you on those 2 also!
You guys should do more fishing videos!!! The challenges are cool but even if it's just one of you guys that would be awesome
Ok. 👍
Great stuff Ben thank you 🍺
Great swim jig trailer!
Agreed!

Beavers!! Big beavers 🦫!!!
“Nice Beaver!” Thank you, I got it at The Hook Up Tackle.
👍🍻

Sweet! Good info!
interesting 'kicking' action as you described it. seems similar to what me also see with the mayfly hatches. size difference... but similar action.
🍻👍

3 inch Beaver on a Ned Head is 🔥🔥🔥
👊🍻
Great video.
Thank you for watching!
Hey Ben, which “budget” rod would you recommend for free rig? I’m thinking something in the Daiwa Rebellion line?
What braid are you using. I just picked up the Windbuster to pair with the Exist.
Awesome video and amazing looking plastic. Do you punch heavy vegetation with this craw as well? Action on the fall is killer.
You definitely can. These are pretty soft plastic, so if you need a super durable bait for punching these are not the ones. But, the 4" on a Flippin hook works great for me for lighter duty Flippin.
I will buy anything Ben recommends. He is the David Koresh of JDM tackle 👍
🤣
I need you to drink this punch I have...
18:50 What jig are you using the 3.5 on in the swim tank? Thank you
OSP Zero One
Hey Ben - I love my Windbuster too but you really think its more sensitive than the NRX+ or Conquest spinning rods? Thanks again buddy
Definitely more sensitive than Conquest - I’d say on par or slightly less than NRX+, but perfect taper
What customer was your top beaver buyer in 2021🤣 if it wasn’t me apparently I need to step it up. Amazing bait
I’ll get you a step stool 😜🍻
You bought that many Sam? I thought your were the supplier for THUT 🤣🤣🤣
Ben loves the beaver lmfao… subtle lol
This may be a stretch…but is the triza ageha sort of a travel windbuster? Could I free rig as well as throw okashira screw heads and maybe a small crank?
Not a stretch! It’s exactly that!
Hey, Ben. Any update as to when the Orochi XX Leviathans are going to be back in stock? Trying to get an idea as to how much I need to save monthly and incorporate into my budget.
No firm eta on those - spring. Could be this month, could be March/April.
Thanks for the info!

My beaver habit is going to cost my marriage
You and me both 😜🍻
any Windbusters and Baby Pluggings coming in the near future?
Maybe this month
Great bait, but I’ve lost count of how many times the dolive beaver has broke at the hinge just by casting it.
Are these scented?
More FRED 3.5 inch coming soon?
Spring
When are you guys getting another stock up on these?
We have a ton instock right now. We get restocks once a month
@@thehookuptackle_usa didn't see many available on the website
Is there a top and bottom like the sweet beaver?
While on the topic of the wind buster, that thing is incredible. It is the ONLY spinning rod I need since we only have largemouth around here
It’s such a sick rod. Glad you’re loving yours!
Wish they were less expensive, but yea. I’ll pay the cover charge.
Japanese beavers are the best kind
sold out
I wish!
3:34 😂
That finesse jig with the 3" version looks sexxxy.
When packaged well that soft supple beaver tail calls out for you to spend spend spend!!!
mmkay
Interesting. So a free rig is just an unpegged texas rig using a drop shot weight.
Great now this bait will never be on the shelf again!!
I think we’re pretty good at keeping them instock 👍😜
True true…
Boujee Mfkrs unite!
Hell yeah! 🍻😂
Me too. I got a platinum dipped JDM zebco 33
@@scottleggejr hell to the yes. I never threw a jig in my life...just bought a Tachyon Shaft...."just in case"
Nobody wants a magnum beaver.
