4 Super Bright LED Emergency Light Upgrades That Every Truck NEEDS!

Shrink tube, stainless hardware and enclosing the wiring in loom is the best process for this type work. Great to see a vendor not cutting corners. His work is top notch. Will likely outlast the truck.
I'm glad to see you stepping up your visibility game here. As a Paramedic, I can tell you that ample warning light is critical to your and your crew's safety. One mantra we live by is "Everyone goes home." I think that could be very applicable to any field where you are working along side high traffic roadways or even residential zones. Very nice set up on your truck! Those guys are obviously good at their craft. I'm truly impressed!👍
As a temporary/ permanent I went with plug n play lights and a multi/4 , 12v socket plugs with indicator lights for my front windshield, rear windshield and beacon lights. It lights up the night like a mother.....if for some reason you can't afford expensive lights and time for hardwiring....the options I've found are absolutely fantastic. They are super bright at night and more than visible from a distance in the daytime.
I was just about to say that those front led lights need to be on their own switch because it will reflect like crazy off of the snowplow. Then he said that they would be on individual switches. Good man!

I bought lights from Route 1 for some of the company trucks where I work. I’m not going to be using Midwest Strobes lights on my personal truck, but Route 1 is definitely going to be doing the install. Yousef has been cool with me since the day I first messaged him. Nobody else like him around

I'd probably still mount some strobes to the sides of the dump insert near the back end. Sometimes trees or signs/landscaping can obscure the front part of the truck when backing into the road. This setup throws a lot of light that should reflect off surrounding objects and alert people in most any situation but it never hurts to add another level of protection. I'm right in the middle of adding some myself.

I use Feniex Industries lights, soon getting Soundoff Signal, they are the higher end of the market but are sleek and compact. Amber Green all day.

Great video Brian, that is going to look sick plowing snow! The lights on the grill aren’t going to be seen when you have the plow on?! You should get two light bars and put them on the inside but on the top of the windshield on both of the far sides, that would look cool!
He can turn them on and off separately

I have a $30 exprite mini light bar from amazon and 90% of the time it's off unless it's a high traffic area because customers complain about me lighting up their bedroom at night...

How do you keep your truck and dumper so clean, it does not look like a work truck , i try to keep my trucks clean but there is no way I can keep them looking like that. My trucks are used 10 hours days 5 to 6 days a week
We wash our truck like every 6 weeks lol, it’s beyond not clean. My wife was just getting on my case, the inside is so dusty and covered in grass. 🤷♂️😎

Yousef will take care of ya. He's definitely not the cheapest but you get what you pay for when it comes to this kind of stuff. No cheapo stuff here.
The Grill lights are pointless during plowing they will be shining on the back of your snowplow. I thought Michigan just went Amber and Blue for snowplows. Also there is a mount you can purchase to move your roof lightbar to the headache rack of your dump body. That will hold the lightbar level at all times.
Amber and green for municipal. But we do have the grill lights on their own circuit. We can run them during fall clean ups, by busy roads, at the dump when needed. Visibility is life

Those grill mounted strobes are a bad idea for plowing. They will bounce off plow blade back at you. Made that mistake and had mine removed.
We have them on their own upfitter switch to disable them when plowing, or if it becomes too bright. Great tip though.

Wow. Who didn't see you before? Frankly, the thrill of flashing LEDs is very distracting. If it snows, people expect trucks to be plowing. Even if they know where you are (and they will with the Star Ship you've crated), it doesn't mean they will make better decisions. We plow, we know. People who drive in snow do stupid stuff. Super flashy lights or not. However, the install shop is EPIC.
You will regret the flashing white in the winter. The lights in the grille will probably end up blinding you when you have your plow on because they will reflect off the plow.
We have them on their own switch to disable them. Great thought though!
