I've been contemplating who my favorite player is. It's really tough to say. I love a lot of players, including Simon, McBeth, AB, Eagle etc... But I feel like if I must choose just one, it'd be Matty-O. Matty is so unique, so entertaining, so funny, and the dude is an absolute line-hitting laser! With his own unique form, no less. These moments were so funny, and I'd like to point out that moment with the sock on the tee from Matty's practice round in Idlewild with Jerm and Paul, that was absolutely hysterical. And another thing I'd like to point out, the 2023 Maple Hill tournament final round was one of the best performances and astonishing tournaments and celebrations I've ever seen. I love that everyone was happy to see Matty-O finally capture that long coveted win. Nobody deserved it more.
I saw Matty O in Santa Cruz 2022 and I made an active effort to get a picture with this man. Dude is way taller than I expected. Also just the nicest guy.
When Matty O is on, he is probably the most entertaining player on tour to watch.
