In this lesson, we highlight the most common mistakes in the Athan which are very common nowadays even in bigger mosques around the world.

Jazakallallahu khair! I have been wondering about these things for a long time. Such as why some people said "ash hadu AN la ilaha ila allah" instead of "ash hadu AL lailaha ila allah" May Allah reward you for your sincere good deeds and efforts.
Sorry brother the real word is "Ash hadu an laa'ilaha illaa llaah" not ash hadu Alaa ilaha ilaa lah

Some old people give azaan wrong but no body say's anything to them plus they don't understand tajweed
The Mu'athin should be the one with the most beautiful voice, and best makharij. Not with age, how much they memorize from the Quran or such criteria.

Thanks so much. Athan should be beautiful but correct also. And it’s not singing ofc. No need to worry if someone is making silly mistakes without knowing it. But it’s always better to learn everything in proper way.

Baarak Allahu feekum! I just wanted to add two more that I hear quite often.
1) Pronoucing the هاء as a حاء in أشهد. Its almost like there is an assumption that the there is no "h" sound in Arabic and its always a حاء.
2) Prouncing the ألفات with تفخيم in words other than Allah, such as pronoucing صلاة as Salaw, and the شهادة as "Law ilawha illaw Allah"
- 9:3 وَاَذَانٌ
Isn't there Madd on La in Ashadu an Laa ilaha illallah..? Should we follow tajweed ruls in Adan? Please reply.

In pakistan all such mistakes are committed while saying azan.
Including the first one he mentioned , which was saying “Azan” 😅

is actually correct in some dialects
We used to have a مؤذن who does all the mistakes in الله اكبر he says أليه كبار may Allah forgive him

What is different between word of 'ra' 'kaf' 'ain' with 'alif', 'ra' 'kaf' 'ain' with 'wau' and 'ra' 'kaf' 'ain' with 'ya'?
In many masjids in my country the pronunciation is incorrect many times. I would cringe when I hear them but would keep silent and want to correct them as they might not want to be corrected. So what this brother is doing with his video should be welcomed with open arms.

Isn’t it disputed on whether to say haya alkheir 3ml? Ive heard that initially one of the caliphs took it out of the adhan because they didn’t want people on the battle field to be distracted from war…

It is weird because during the fajr athan in ramadan the sheikh always add "prayer is better than sleep"
yea and it’s part of the Adan and it’s normal, but we only say that in fajr
Every fajr athan this occurs, even in the Haram (you can look it up on TH-cam, search for any Haram Fajr athan. This is authentic.
As a non-muslim who is learning about Islam and arabic (learning arabic since 1 year ago) it always confuses me that some people say "aZan"....so I am pleased that you acknowledge this right near the start of the video! I figured that saying "aZan" must be some kind of regional pronunciation that we only get in Eastern Europe and Caucus region. But I may be wrong about that.
I believe pronounced Azan in Egypt and some other places. I am not an Arabic speaker so could someone confirm?
The ذ sound is actually incredibly rare cross-linguistically, ز being much more common. In pretty much every non-Arab country you go in, (Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Indian Subcontinent, etc.) they will usually pronounce it as ازان instead.

In Old English there was a letter like that called "eth" (ð) which is equivalent to ذ , and still is used today in Iceland. In modern English of course that sound still exists in many words but we just no longer use the letter ð for it
