- Red Standard Poodle Puppy! I’ve been wanting this puppy forever! Finally got her!
Duchess is a large breed dog and will grow up to be about 45/50 pounds. When I got her at 8 weeks old she weighed 10 pounds.

Please be careful with edible dental chews, like those Greenies. Sometimes hard chunks will break off, and the dogs can choke on it. Some dogs have even died. I believe they’re best avoided 🙏
You can honestly tell the breeder Wants her puppies to go to the best home possible! due the paper work, care sheet etc. I bet your going to be the best puppy mama there is! Cute pupper.
Omg you picked the perfect dog breed . I have two of them. One is red and the other apricot. Have fun and enjoy your baby while it’s young cause they grow up so fast! Take plenty of pictures if you don’t you might regret it! ❤️❤️

@@lisetteem588 Yup I have a lovely cavoodle puppy and she's wonderful, but she acts like royalty when it comes to her food hence we nicknamed her "her ladyship".😂
@@rustyhowe3907 My Ariel is a shocker! he has a stomach issue as well so I cant be mean.He does eat better than most humans who eat meat vive literally had ppl cook my dog food recipe for their daily or take some home for the "dog".
@@lisetteem588 Hahahaha that's often the best compliment when people eat it themselves.
Our puppy Connie doesn't have digestive troubles, she just has high expectations. We get a lot of snide remarks how she eats better than most people but really it's just proper food we give her, that's all.

@@rustyhowe3907 Those people are weird. we are all animals. I also try to be nice to the birds who frequent my yard and make videos on them, but they usually eat just about anything. sometimes I give them fruit and they wander around like where is the bread etc.. even bird seed.. they just want bread and some of them probably want meat w..well they eat the cat food..Sometimes I say thats all youre getting haha Regarding Ariel ..I don't really know how it tastes as I dont eat meat, but yes he's doing alright. Thanks for your kind words.

I just got a retired breeder From a breeder that was not responsible this is as it should be what I saw was one step above a puppy mill... Good for that breeder who's Devoted to caring for her dogs and finding good homes... Those are socialized loved puppies. I'm glad I rescued the dog I have but she had never been out of a cage or the room that she was Kept in Reproducing For the owner For 5 and a 1/2 years She had never seen stairs or grass or Head any experiences outside of Making Money for the breeder... So sad she is so sweet she has 3/4 of very life left and I intend to make it a great and loving life

Gorgeous puppy! And thanks for adding the name of the breeder - I looked them up and LOVE that they health test the parents. They're not far from me, so I'm definitely going to reach out to them when I'm ready for a Standard.

What’s her name? Beautiful girl. Lovely Red. I miss my baby so much. I used to play with my little boy, my red standard King, and say got you nose he loved it. The best dogs ever. I would suggest getting a metal comb to keep her from gnatting between grooms. Your groomer will be very happy and it helps with grooming. Dogs go through a lot to be groomed, but if you maintain them between grooms it will really help your dog and also a good bonding too. Get a good groomer and don’t settle. Watch them groom other dogs if you can. See how they are. Train her now to get groomed, you’ll be happy, your dog will be happy and she’ll be a pleasure for the groomer. Just tips I’ve learned. These are special dogs!

My husband and I are in our late 50's to 60's but we are in good health thank God. We just got a 6.5 month old red standard poodle (the large size type) we can see he already has strength. People say we made a huge mistake because he can drag us as we get older... On walks... Now I'm confused. I would love your feedback! Thank you

@@isaacmondesir1814 He has been great with my nieces and is super playful and loving so they are great with kids.
That being said, I would be doing you a disservice if I didn't caution you about the amount of work involved. We have followed McCann dogs videos and use that as the basis for training, so he thankfully sleeps through the night, but walking him every two hours, starting at 7 am (in the beginning, he can now easily go 4 hours between walks) is a lot. The training, supervising and managing of his time is a bit more than I expected.
He has filled our life with joy we didn't even know was missing, I just want to make sure you keep your own busy life in mind when adding a creature that is essentially a toddler.
McCann dogs has a lot of videos on puppies and training which are really helpful, so I would advise you and your kids to watch the videos together and only commit to getting a puppy when you have buy in from everyone.
If you decide to go ahead and get a puppy, don't forget to enjoy them 😉!
My husband would like to add, that ever since we made a schedule and stuck to it, managing him has been a lot easier. Potty breaks are more predictable and he no longer turns into a snapping turtle because he's overtired, and if he does we can trace the cause back to deviating too far from the routine.

I also have a red poodle however I got mine for a pretty cheap price as it was 3 months old and costed me 800 dollars I guess the owner didn’t want it but I’m glad I have it poodles are great and intelligent 🐩

Im guessing you were very excited, but you sounded calm.. I do think buying a small dog bed wasnt wise? why not a big foldable one? or just fold thick blankets at that stage? lol my dogs have all been terrified of the wibble wobble ball.. I think mine is in the garden some place haha. gorgeous puppy/ I hope you are more in love. I know I am and mine is 6. Funny how her colour deepened, mine has always been the same colour apricot red. :)

Not me causal waiting until next year to maybe get my next service dog prospect which will be a standard poodle, however in the meantime I'll just watch other people be spoiled to death and get their dogs.

It looks like you had rawhide chews. They are very difficult for dogs to digest so it might be better to go for a different option. Bully sticks are better as they are natural...although a little stinky!
Do not use the Canine Advantage for your puppy,no matter what your Vet tell you.It caused seizures and she died last year.

A breeder has to register the puppies with the names of the mother and father….so obviously they have to give each puppy an official name…..my last group was named after Elvis Presley songs…My puppy was: Love me tender :). We named her Milly !
