It's refreshing to see tattoo artists being realistic and telling everyone what is right and wrong. I am a 57 years old trying to teach myself to tattoo. Every shop I tried to get help. Nothing but negative. Thanks
That’s because you need an apprenticeship. No one is going to take you on or offer free advice that they worked hard to gain while you’re at home teaching yourself bad habits. There are more shops today than ever, it’s literally easier to get an apprenticeship than it’s ever been. You don’t get it
50:38 that blew my mind for a first portrait. Holy shit look at those teeth! They are amazing! Teeth in portraits gave me such a hard time in the beginning! And you can see ALL THE TEETH here lol. Nice work in my opinion.
About the redness of a tattoo : I would take every photo raw (i do sometimes) , but bro when u struggle @5k followers, and literally everyone use desaturate / polarised photo, you just can t, you re out the race for the client if u do this, and the portfolio is for the client not the other artists. That sad but true :( . Realy nice podcast tho, love it . cheers from France ! Nice first portait Cam !
deadly guys, nice haul... just luv this 1st podcast I saw. i had a crush on ya guys 🤣 believe me ya are great incentive for the new tattoo artists, once more congrats greetings from Ireland/Brazil
1.6k views and only 90 likes!? cmon guys we can do better than this. The boys are putting together one of the best tattoo podcasts online. SHOW THESE GUYS SOME LOVE!! Great episode as always guys
At the end I take a 5 or so minute break with the client under witch hazel and I try to see if anything stands out or if my attention goes to where I wanted. I also walk at different angles and try to catch it in view like I would in the wild. The few days after a tattoo you have under the microscope is the worst, but the growth off of those journeys🤌🏽. Safe travels fellas.
Mad respect for the commitment to the quality of the healed tattoo. I wiah more artisits would post pics of the healed work because when i'm looking at work i want to know what the finished product is going to look like. Ive heard it said itll never look better than the day you got it but to me an unhealed tattoo is an unfinished tattoo.
I have a for real question about the ears. I don't mean it offensive at all. Does it affect your hearing at all? Because the lob of your ear is there to funnel sound into your ear if im not mistaken right. So does it make it harder to hear or is there no difference?
The pricing of tattoos in the States is absolutly crazy. $2-3000 for a tattoo is laughable to me. I've been tattooed by some very well known internationally tattooists in London and never paid anything like that. It has been by the older school type artists, guys who tattoo other tattooists. I'm happy with how things are here.
I have tons of great palm size / hand size tatts by respected artists for like $300-$400, all done throughout the USA like various states. I think this is an LA NYC thing because I walk into a trad shop with a few hundred bucks and do fine
@@julicoole Yeah, that does make sense that it's a big city thing and with big names etc. Luckily London hasn't gone this way though there are people doing micro tattooes at silly prices. There's a US podcast on here Tattoo Guardians and they all charge ridiclous day rates. I guess if the demand is there then it will happen.
@@SpencerF6 also I think my stuff has been cheaper because it's traditional, and not realism or some super trendy new style. I live in Miami which is generally a super expensive city, but I've gotten all my bigger tats here for like $300-450
Fking-A! Filters, camera tricks are cool, but only after you post your real shit and then add an edited version within the carousel to show off your photography style. This PS problem is also rampant within the barbering industry in order to make their cuts look perfect and clients want those fake cuts.
Damn, first portrait, and he does this, he has practiced a lot, and yeah, the hair is not great but i wouldn't know how to improve it, but i'm still on lines XD And the upper teeth need a bit of shading, especially the sides, but man, this is one fucking great tattoo. In a few years it might need some re shading, maybe a few thin lines, but that comes with a tattoo aging. I am pretty fucking damn sure my first portrait will not be anywhere this good. This guy's got a damn bright future in tattooing portraits i'm pretty sure.
"If you want a compliment, call your mom".

Jesus Christ Pony your going on like Nunez on INK master, that 1st portrait Cam did was really good.
Johnny wins at it again. Now he’s a tattoo artist 😮

Multi colored stencils would be next level
Great podcast 🔥👏🏻 Since you shared your Inks with us. Can you describe the drop system with us?
Letting an apprentice tattoo you is scary, i couldn’t imagine having a tattoo that people look at and think “damn that’s bad”
no its not lol
Can we get hoode215 on the show please?
Try using a circular polarizer on your camera. It’s a screw on filter & reduces glare…
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I've tattooed a full sleeve 3 days in a row and you need to change how you think about the piece. It's definitely another level of challenges
Bro I've never heard of this panel term. 17 years I'm curious is this an east coast term or an artist term
I'm showing up to Cams house tonight. I'm sick of his shit.
Jon, in fact, did not hit the griddy, or get sturdy on the last pod.
Fk small shit , i'm from Texas LMAO
Who did he call out?? Lol
Hot bois🤤
Humboldt Park I lived in Ukrainian village right down the street honere and augusta. Humboldt is now yupped
Flip cam around!!!! Cam is on the wrong side!!!!

You cant order a Volkswagen Golf and expect a Mercedes AMG to be delivered, whats wrong with people ? 🤯

This is three people confessing to messing up on bigger pieces and still charge three thousand dollars.
So weird
First seven minutes*
The next thing in stencils is the stencil laser etches itself into your skin, no more artist..
