Not only did he manage to do a very well done and successful cover, but he also had the full approval of his original artist. It's amazing I would be crying with happiness
Sometimes it pays to pay respect to the original creator and be nice about it. Most artists are usually cool with it so long as your respectful and nice about it.
I love how humble Ronnie is and how nervous he is showing Jacoby. Ronnie is such a talented artist. I like that his hands are behind his back and hes nervous to show Jacoby and hoping for his approval. Such great guys both of them.
Jacoby is so sick too. He really appreciates the cover, which not all artists are capable of doing. Many are too proud to believe anybody can do it on a level similar to their own. Both versions are incredible songs with different styles. Ronnie and FIR showed respect to the original while putting their own twist on it
The papa roach version is like we were at that moment : Angry, full of rage and now the song evolved with the version of Ronnie, like we evolved : now we are just broken...
It's easy to forget that these masters of their art get nervous about their own work. And I can't even imagine the feeling of being able to share your work with the original artist like this. Extremely awesome! So happy for Ronnie and Jacoby both!
I have fallen in love with this song all over again. As a suicide survivor, it touches me in a way that is hard to describe. I just wanna let anyone know if you feel like nobody loves you i do. You arent alone there is an army of people out here who may not know how exactly you feel but i guarantee you there are so many that can relate. You know for years, i was still angry at the lady who saved my life. She cut me down from the rope and at the time i didnt want that. But now she is a saint to me. Bc it would have been so easy to just do nothing. And i wonder if it was today, would she have done the same or grabbed her phone to record it? Thank you Kimberly Gibson you deserve a medal for seeing how valuable my life was when i couldn't.
I'm so glad you're still here! I'm a survivor as well and I had so much more life to live. If I had gone then, I would have missed so many wonderful things in this world. Life is full of temporary phases, that is the most important part that we forget. It's temporary, things will get better. ❤

Jacoby was feeling that, wow this was awesome to watch! Respect to Papa Roach and Falling In Reverse for making music that helps people feel/process tough emotions. 10/10
This is so moving the way Ronnie shows his re-imagined version to Jacoby, but truth be told, no validation required. I liked the original when I was younger, but Ronnie has me killing this new version daily. He has brought the lyrics to the forefront where we can actually process them, FEEL them, and empathise. It's deeper, more powerful, and so much more meaningful than ever before and Ronnie should be extremely proud of this masterpiece.
The way Ronnie reveres Jacoby, while Jacoby is having a spiritual awakening listening to Ronnie’s rendition. So damn beautiful. The mutual respect bleeds through the screen. Love it.
I love how vulnerable Ronnie stands with his hands behind his back. You can really tell how special this track is to him and how important Jacoby's reaction to it is.🤘🤘🤘
There's something so pure about watching a fan covering a song and showing it to the artist who has inspired them and that artist loving the rendition. It's just beautiful that music can do this.
It's amazing how nervous and humble Ronnie seems while Jacoby listens his version of Last Resort. On the other side, are starkly clear the proudness and the emotions that Jacoby is feeling. It's like a father who encourages and compliments his son for the amazing job done. Both great talented and humble dudes, very great moment for both of them.
I think we always think musicians for celebrities are super confident, they are not. (Except Kanye, he’s over-confident) Just like you and I get nervous sharing our work and I just have a different mindset.
This is so wholesome. Ronnie was so nervous, and Jacoby was so welcoming to Ronnie's reiamgined version. I relived my first time hearing Last Resort when I heard this version. I'm shocked with the talent of both artist and how strong they weild their art ❤ 👏👏
Wow. I love how he's so respectful & nervous, his hands are shaking & he takes a step back, head down, hands clasped behind his back & plays an amazing version of the song that he says he hasn't finished yet, wow. I loved the original when it came out when I was younger & then when I heard this version I cried. I've been through mental & physical health problems & so much loss & losing my Mum (she was only 53) put me in a very dark place, refusing to grieve but when I listened to this it hit different, thank you Ronnie.🙏🏻 Sometimes we need the music, sometimes we need the lyrics. 🖤 Sometimes both.
This is so sweet to watch Ronnie fidgeting, being nervous to let Jacoby hear his version. So humble! I love both versions so so much.... Papa Roach's version spoke to me in my teens, forming my music taste...helping me through some dark times.. and Falling in Reverse's version just absolutly broke me.. the lyrics hit a 1000 times harder when stripped and helps me yet again, in a more adulty way.. love you guys so much & I hope you never stop making music ❤️
Same. Depression manifests itself differently throughout life and the lyrics deserved to be represented in such a sad and freeing way. The anger can only last for so long but the emotional toll continues.
I love this! PRICELESS. I love watching Ronnie as he's hoping for approval from Jacoby. He looks up to him so much. Absolutely beautiful relationship between these two guys. The artistry is beyond compare! Well done!
I can't tell what's the bigger honor. Performing a cover your poured your heart and soul into and having the OG vibe with it so much, or knowing that your legacy is so powerful that it inspired so many people and hearing a new twist on something you poured your own heart and soul into. This fucking slaps
🖤 No for real though. I watched it three times so I could watch them together and then separately as they experienced this. Like... The most fucking wholesome thing ever. I love it so much!
Ronnie’s version made me listen and feel the lyrics on an entire different level. If I wasn’t a fan of both I would never think it was the same song… unbelievably one of the greatest covers I’ve heard
I never actually heard all of he lyrics clearly as a kid hearing this song when it first came out. Ronnie brought this song to life for me and made me connect with it a realize that people have been going through these same emotions for literally every generation and I am not alone
Really goes to show how much emotion Ronnie puts into his work. Even at such a huge level of success, he gets nervous around those who paved the way! Incredible rendition!! What a moment to experience! wow
Imagine being this much of a genius just walking around in the world. Having THIS just swirling around in your head and trying to find ways to get it out of your head. I wish I could just sit down and have a conversation with this dude. The things I could learn. Wow.
This whole video and the reaction warmed my heart. I literally smiled the whole time watching Ronnie being so humble and nervous and Jacob hyping him up.
Watching jacoby grab the back of his head like that, like he cant even contain how well its done. Im right with you man. The first time listening to this version and I broke down and cried for the depressive teen I used to be. The one who heard the original years ago and felt it in his soul felt it once again. Thank you Ronnie
I wholeheartedly agree with you. My heart cried in remembrance of being an OG emokid who listened to both these guys day one and then the tears oh happiness kicked in that I made it this far without giving up. You are strong and beautiful. Today is a new opportunity to change your own world and I am proud of you for making it this far, keep pushing through all the waves that crashes on your shore's
Heard this cover a few days ago and it resonated so deeply with me, I very much fell into depression during the pandemic and I have to agree with you about how the two versions represent the two ways the pain manifests, the outward and the inward. Beautiful insight my friend.
Jacoby gets it! Love Papa Roach.. Professional artists brainstorming and building each other up...To gift us, and build us up. Ronnie is amazing! Jacoby is amazing! Thank you to both for sharing your genius and talents with the world.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve shown friends music that’s still being worked on and said exactly, “ it doesn’t sound good. It’s unmixed.” It’s genuinely so wholesome to know big stars have that same feeling
Ohhh man.... goosebumps on goosebumps here. This really does captivate the sadness and desperation that the original unintentionally hides under the fact that it's just such a banger. Just now my brain was almost making me hear Chester at the end😭 If you feel so far down that you don't know if you'll ever get out, please, PLEASE reach out to literally anyone who knows you. You are more loved than you know.
For real! I feel ashamed since my english is quite good and yet I've never realized how sad the lyrics actually are... to me it was mainly a punk-party song...
Offering his raw talent and musical abilities to his idol, hoping for his approval and receiving it. incredible to witness and he deserves this recognition for his art. 🖤

Ronnie, vulnerablility and humility are what have kept me coming back for years; seeing you be humble, anxious and real and getting Jacoby's blessing was impressive
The true evidence we are just people no matter what people think. One of the most talented singer who doesn't have to prove anything, just standing there like an excited small kid waiting for his dad's approval... Epic moments!
I love how Jacobi just wanted to jump right in and started talking about all the aspects of the Song and breaking it down with Ronnie. You can hear the excitement from Jacobi and his love for music. This was such a wholesome moment.
Y'all, we are so blessed to see (and hear) Ronnie in a phase of his career where it's all coming together. By far the most interesting vocal artist in the game right now. His tracks are a masterclass in vocal placement. Wonderful craft mixed with artistry and I am down for all of it!
100%. His voice is otherworldly, man. As a vocalist myself it just impresses the shit out of me every time. The way he's able to convey emotion in his delivery is unmatched.
Standing with your hands throughout the song means full respect and engagement to the reaction of one of your idols for sure. Really cool how you got the opportunity to show your version of it to the man behind the song.
I hate to turn down the point of it but yeah it is a sign but sadly it's a prison thing you can tell the way he's holding his wrist at same time and how he instantly moves back to that position the second he stops talking. I do believe he has mass respect in the video doing so but it is kinda a force of habit to.
I don't follow these bands or vocalists, but this came on the radio the other day. I had to pull over. It moved me as much as the original at a time when I really needed to be moved. There aren't many covers that completely revamp the song in a meaningful way. It's not that the cover is better; it is its own song while clearly and respectfully rooted. It happens once in a generation and not even in every genre. I think Sara Bareilles' Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is the nearest example I can think of before this one. Well done.
Getting the honor of presenting your cover to the source and have them praising it has to be one of the most satisfying feelings as an artist. Congrats Ronnie
The original song represents the initial anger of a situation, this version represents the emotions following, grim acceptance, yet also the need for reassurance.
Ronnie is by far my favorite Artist in this entire World , so much Talent , so much Heart , so much Realness ! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME TO GERMANY you have an Insane Fanbase here guys....

This reimagined version is a masterpiece. Ronnie, you're a master artist and singer, seriously. You truly captured the agony of depression and suicidal thoughts, your voice propels so much emotion. Thank you for singing and screaming your heart out when I can't.
It doesn't really matter if this version is your cup of tea or not. The fact that he clearly cared enough and respects so much another artists work is what makes this really cool!!
This is a really well done & emotionally charged cover. It really brings a maturity to the song we all heard so long ago. Ronnie being nervous about letting Jacoby listen to it shows the influence that he and Papa Roach have had in the world of music. I'm so glad that Jacoby loved it as much as everyone else did.
Lost an older brother, my rock. He was a monster. This brotherly conversation was so beautiful and easy. I can’t wait for yall to ************************************************ tracks. So fun, love y’all *************** god bless.
The difference, however, is that now we're old enough to express it in a different, less angry way. We were never angry, to begin with. We were hurting, but we didn't have the resources to vocalize it, but we also didn't have the responsibilities that would have kept us from being so raw and emotional. We grew, we became adults, we now have jobs and families that hold us accountable, but that wound we had never fully healed.
I've lost count how many times I've listened to this version and the chills are constant every single time. Jacoby listening to this and his reaction brought tears to my eyes. You are both amazing artists and insanely talented. Thank both of you for creating such an amazing song that just hits so close to home at both stages of my life.
Ronnie's music is on a whole different level now, I love watching artists evolve. People don't appreciate enough the decades of hard work it takes to master your craft while also looking for way to keep on improving.

Not only did he manage to do a very well done and successful cover, but he also had the full approval of his original artist.
It's amazing I would be crying with happiness
I know right! Ronnie such a badass.. he even had coolio appear in his gangsta paradise video
Ronnie and FIR showed respect to the original while putting their own twist on it
Sharp statement.
The papa roach version is like we were at that moment : Angry, full of rage and now the song evolved with the version of Ronnie, like we evolved : now we are just broken...
Jacob is great man with great heart
@@KuroiTenshi19 Wouldn't you be broken in your fit of rage though? I mean what even comes after that part...? I don't know...
@@Ducksidious4 thanks for the reply. Today was one of those days I needed to hear this. I think life's funny like that. Bc it was on my mind heavy today but it's only temporary. So maybe tomorrow will be better. Sending lots of love your way.

How nervous he was was speaks volumes to his character. He was nervous and humbled and excited all at once. I LOVE this video, thank you so much for sharing it. What a moment for you Ronnie!
Jacoby was feeling that, wow this was awesome to watch! Respect to Papa Roach and Falling In Reverse for making music that helps people feel/process tough emotions. 10/10
You could tell he was waiting for some kind of hardcore drop or breakdown at some points of the song though
Look at him waiting for Jacoby's reaction 😭 he was so respectful with this song and treated it with gloves, thank you for bringing this work of art!

The way Ronnie reveres Jacoby, while Jacoby is having a spiritual awakening listening to Ronnie’s rendition. So damn beautiful. The mutual respect bleeds through the screen. Love it.
Crazy to see Ronnie so nervous but also love seeing that side to him. He’s such a talented person and just deserves allllll the flowers.
Having the original artist give this type of approval is on another level. This is awesome
Ronnie’s version makes the lyrics hit harder, whereas the original you can dance to. I love both versions.
Word. I remember tearing up to the original as a kid, but listening to this one I’m full on bawling like a fkn baby😂
The original was for when we were edgy teens dealing with our issues then, ronnies version is us as adults dealing with our issues
@shawnzilla3 so true I was like 13 or 14 when papa roach made the original
This is absolutely the best way to describe it, hell yeah.
its like a goodbye suicide version of the song
guaranteed was not falling in reverses idea
none of this is
his tattoos arent either
I love how vulnerable Ronnie stands with his hands behind his back. You can really tell how special this track is to him and how important Jacoby's reaction to it is.🤘🤘🤘
I love both versions. This cover actually made me shed tears. Perhaps I'm just a softy but his voice did it for me.
I feel ya! Haha I've replayed it 4 times now and I can't stop crying lol such an amazing cover and song all around.
You're not a softy! This definitely hits hard, mate.
Your definitely real soft bro. Definitely
It’s hits very hard!!
I feel that. It will get you teary. Crazy good cover!
Imagine if the artist was a dick and is emotionless to another artist work lol
I think we always think musicians for celebrities are super confident, they are not. (Except Kanye, he’s over-confident) Just like you and I get nervous sharing our work and I just have a different mindset.
This is so wholesome. Ronnie was so nervous, and Jacoby was so welcoming to Ronnie's reiamgined version. I relived my first time hearing Last Resort when I heard this version. I'm shocked with the talent of both artist and how strong they weild their art ❤ 👏👏
We needed the original when we were teens, now as adults we needed this version. This is awesome!
amen
Wow. I love how he's so respectful & nervous, his hands are shaking & he takes a step back, head down, hands clasped behind his back & plays an amazing version of the song that he says he hasn't finished yet, wow. I loved the original when it came out when I was younger & then when I heard this version I cried. I've been through mental & physical health problems & so much loss & losing my Mum (she was only 53) put me in a very dark place, refusing to grieve but when I listened to this it hit different, thank you Ronnie.🙏🏻
Sometimes we need the music, sometimes we need the lyrics. 🖤
Sometimes both.
Very true.
Gave me chills!
Well said. I like to think both sides are equally humbled and appriciative.
At a time where they would've slapped you for that phrase 😏
Ronnie’s version made me listen and feel the lyrics on an entire different level. If I wasn’t a fan of both I would never think it was the same song… unbelievably one of the greatest covers I’ve heard
Hello. Please listen to Johnny Cash ‘Hurt’.
What a moment to experience! wow
Two legends in one room getting lost in their art.
The way he stands and being this respectful and anxious about the work he did is making me cry…
Imagine being this much of a genius just walking around in the world. Having THIS just swirling around in your head and trying to find ways to get it out of your head. I wish I could just sit down and have a conversation with this dude. The things I could learn. Wow.
I do love how Ronnie is so nervous about his version of the song! So cute! And Jacoby's reaction is awesome. Love it!

This version literally almost brings me to my knees every time I listen to it because of how much I can hear the pain in his voice.
By reading the video's title, I instantly knew Jacoby would love the cover. He's such a cool & sympathetic dude, plus his love for music
Excactly!
If you haven't seen Papa Roach live, I couldn't recommend it more! Soo great live
Oh please. You knew he'd like it because this video exists. The reaction wouldn't have been put out if it was anything less than praise.
Jacoby is soooo awesome, such a kind dude
Jacoby's version is how you present your pain to the world while Ronnie's version is how you feel that pain inside of you. Either way you feel it!!!

I really love actually seeing this, you can see just how anxious Ronnie is and Jacoby is absolutely 100% loving his take on it.
Popular Monster, Zombified, Voices in my Head, Watch the World Burn and now this, basically all in a row, Ronnie and FIR are killing it.
It would've came quicker if he didn't hit that dude with a mic stand 😂😂
A musical genius holding his hands behind him while he puts it out there. This is a beautiful, moody and epic rendition...one of the best covers, EVER
Crazy how humble both artist are that they can respect each others ideas and styles both are master pieces!
seriously. That was great to watch. The approval Ronnie was seeking and the proudness of the reimagining of Jacoby's early career baby. So humble.
Props to you man. Putting yourself out there like this takes courage. Love the song.
Standing with your hands throughout the song means full respect and engagement to the reaction of one of your idols for sure. Really cool how you got the opportunity to show your version of it to the man behind the song.
The way he also tilted his right ear lobe 23 degrees southwest means complete and utter disbelief…
I hate to turn down the point of it but yeah it is a sign but sadly it's a prison thing you can tell the way he's holding his wrist at same time and how he instantly moves back to that position the second he stops talking. I do believe he has mass respect in the video doing so but it is kinda a force of habit to.
@@thesteeler2136 And in prison you do that to show respect to authority - aka someone you see above yourself. Like when you look up to your idol.
Is there a way to stand without one's hands? Wouldn't you need to amputate them?
@@thesteeler2136no it's not a "prison" thing
I don't follow these bands or vocalists, but this came on the radio the other day. I had to pull over. It moved me as much as the original at a time when I really needed to be moved. There aren't many covers that completely revamp the song in a meaningful way. It's not that the cover is better; it is its own song while clearly and respectfully rooted. It happens once in a generation and not even in every genre. I think Sara Bareilles' Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is the nearest example I can think of before this one. Well done.
A live mashup transferring between both versions would be incredible
That's a dope idea
Hell yea, You could have a father and son both processing the loss of their mother/wife in different ways
Yup
Getting the honor of presenting your cover to the source and have them praising it has to be one of the most satisfying feelings as an artist.
Congrats Ronnie
The original song represents the initial anger of a situation, this version represents the emotions following, grim acceptance, yet also the need for reassurance.
Ronnie is by far my favorite Artist in this entire World , so much Talent , so much Heart , so much Realness ! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME TO GERMANY you have an Insane Fanbase here guys....
This is the reaction video I have been waiting for! Thank you to the both of you for providing us with this amazing song. For years I used this song to help me. Now I have another version to help me in different ways!
The range of his voice is incredible! It totally changes the song but in a great way, i love Papa Roach and now i live Falling in Reverse!!!!!
This reimagined version is a masterpiece. Ronnie, you're a master artist and singer, seriously. You truly captured the agony of depression and suicidal thoughts, your voice propels so much emotion. Thank you for singing and screaming your heart out when I can't.
As a retired Army Special Forces veteran, I live this every day.
Thank you for your service. We love you.
It doesn't really matter if this version is your cup of tea or not. The fact that he clearly cared enough and respects so much another artists work is what makes this really cool!!
He kept the soul of the song and gave it a new voice. outstanding!!

The original has anger and teenage angst, this version has sadness and depression. The emotion you can put into a song. Thanks Ronnie Radke.❤
You can put mostly any if not any emotion into a song
You're right and I love the original for it's vibe but that shit was absolutely awesome!
@@senbonzakurakageyoshi662 I probably would have gutted you if you said "vibe" back then unless you were just a friend into ass play. >/

Not only can you see the amount of respect Ronnie has for Jacoby but you can feel it! I love it!
Ronnie's version evokes a whole other set of feelings with this song. I feel the deeper sorrows. Jacoby's evokes the visceral anger!! Love them both!!
I love the interactions as the song goes through. So beautiful to see two artists appreciating each other.
As someone who's never been into piano songs, this is probably the best vocal work by Ronnie I've ever heard.
Ronnie's music is on a whole different level now, I love watching artists evolve. People don't appreciate enough the decades of hard work it takes to master your craft while also looking for way to keep on improving.
Most amazing...its so great to see artist's producing the same song on totally different levels and the respect that was given to one one another is most favulous..well done and well deserved of an applause
Have not geeked out on a band since I was a young teen. Now at 35 FIR is it for me. Ronnie is an ARTIST. More than just a writer, singer or performer... In all of his music you can feel the story. Relate. Even discover perspective. Masterclass.

I've always loved both these bands, and this attitude, both the humility of Ronnie and the joy Jacoby clearly has in seeing a song that obviously means so much to him be done this way says so much about both of their characters. Very, very cool to see, and props to both artists!
I get chills every time I listen to this song. He did a phenomenal job on it.
Keep on keeping it real and honest Ronnie, you a fantastic artist and a legend, you are an inspiration to alot of people. I suffer from mental health and your song gets me through and makes me realise that there is more to life. So a massive thank you
I get shivers when Ronnie sings the high notes for this song. WOW! So damn good. I love all the reimagined stuff. All of IT.
The way Ronnie reimagined this song, it's going to change lives. It just speaks to your heart, your soul. This is going to be huge. Amazing, absolutely amazing.
This is the cutest thing ever! Ronnie, shy and hoping for his approval. Jacoby, loving and appreciating his beautiful vocals. Love it!
Absolutely love this version!!
My younger self is still screaming the lyrics inside today, just like 23 years ago - crazy that it's been that long - while today I'm having tears in my eyes and several layers of goosebumps.
