How do you say nothing with as many words as possible.
That is whole channel just a whole lot of nothing.
At this point I fully expect a regular Switch 1-centric September Direct, complete with new releases and ports/remasters (we already know about the Metroid Primes, the Zeldas, etc). There's enough of those established by credible leakers to fill out two Switch 1 Directs. September and February.
They've given themselves until the end of March to even announce the system and I fully expect them to use all of that time.

Nintendo is not going to announce the successor to the current switch when they have Zelda and Mario released in September and October they’re more likely to do it probably within the new year.
Nothing to be revealed until Jan 2025 - Nintendo still plan to milk this cash cow for at least another 6 months.
I suspect we will see the switch getting price cuts in March to get it close to PS2 sales numbers

I really don't think Furukawa meant they would reveal it within the fiscal year. He meant this calendar year which is what normal people go by. The reveal should be soon. Console is launching March 2025.

I worry that the PC handhelds are going to ruin the reputation for the next Nintendo console if Nintendo doesn't give some extremely special gimmick in their next console and make it have a decent amount of power
@@cheerful_crop_circle eh I don’t really think so. The handheld pc market has never been big and aren’t very appealing to the everyday consumer like the NS. If anything, I think they will still implement some interesting gimmick similar to the joycons to retain the consumer interest with their next system. But to be completely fair I think as long as they release good titles and market the next system correctly than it will definitely have a fighting chance.
I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement happens way before release, conveying the understanding that it's not fully replacing OG Switch any time soon. So could be a March 2025 announcement for Holiday release.
Spring release sounds cooler to me though. Announce before Holiday so people can get gifted vouchers or pre-orders for it but that way it still sustains its own hype bandwagon.
The only game on this current generation that im buying is the Zelda game. I need to have confirmation of backwards compatibility before i get anything else nintendo
I hope September reveal for next gen. With march to may release. Launch titles. Mario kart, Zelda ocarina of time remake, Metroid pime4, dragon quest 1&2 hd , sports resort, gta4 or 5, cod mw3 since should be able to run higher performance games

I think they will have an October tease that will emphasize software compatibility. That will encourage people to buy games over the holiday knowing they can play them on the new system.

Ok Switchforce ....hear me out....The Game Awards....I feel it would be the perfect place to showcase the switch 2. Yes the could do an October reveal, but that might heart game sales of switch one. I feel the game awards would be a perfect way to so it off like Xbox did. Also by that time in December the Christmas plans for most parents or family is already in motion plus that gives them just about 4 months before it comes out to advertise and hype up. Its Genus also no one is expected that at all. Lastly the audience they would reach would be more that the nintendo direct audience. Truly shown to all non gamers and gamers around the globe. Just take a sec an think about it. For me it was mind blowing and a win win for everyone being a total surprise getting us ready for release next year !!!🤔🤔🤔🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Interesting video you laid out. Agreed that Nintendo can do this in several ways with switch 2. It could be any you said or something different. Going by what was said about future directs from the guy who leaked first that there was a delay with the switch 2 coming out in 2024, he said something about there not being a traditional general direct in September and it would be a small direct like a partner direct. I feel like that makes a lot of sense since they laid out their plans perfectly for 2024 with new games and I can’t imagine another big direct just 3 months after with the switch 2 announcement looming. Nintendo is good until early 2025. They could wait until January for a switch 2 announcement or they could do what they did with the switch 1. Reveal in October.
My guess is this. I say again, guess. August teaser pre-the quarterly financial briefing. They’ll be getting pressure from investors and from developing and publishing partners. Developing and publishing partners would be looking to be able to start saying anything about their Switch 2 projects during Gamescom, TGS, and The Game Awards. Even if they aren’t able to give a release date, they can at least confirm “This is what we have coming to Switch 2 sometime in 2025.” And then Nintendo can give the date when the big blowout happens. And, if they reveal backward compatibility in the trailer, it won’t hit Switch holiday sales at all in terms of software and minimally in terms of hardware sales since they already admitted last year that they hit market saturation and are focused on selling people their second, third, fourth, etc model of the current gen Switch(es). Especially if part of the teaser reveals when the blowout is happening, but doesn’t reveal at least a release date month for Switch 2 yet.
September Direct might bring up Switch 2 releases, but it’ll be directed to cross gen titles, which can hint to a release window of Switch 2 without explicitly saying an actual release date. So announcements saying something like “Coming first to the current Switch on [insert date here]. Switch 2 copies release and upgrade patches for current gen copies release in the next quarter.” September Direct will also likely include the announcement of a price drop for current Switch models to entice people into buying. One of the most expensive parts of the system, the chipset, has been out of production for 2-3 years now. So they could probably drop the price by $50-100 and still make profit per console sold.
The blowout happening either December 30 or within the first two weeks January to avoid impacting the holiday sales at all. Even if the blowout is December 30, it’s late enough that it would suggest a release sometime between March and June at the earliest, which wouldn’t alienate the rare people who might just be getting into Switch during the holiday sales. Also, with the big build up of explicitly cross-gen games from the September Direct, newcomers still wouldn’t be alienated because they still have a massive library coupled with the promise of more to come even if they aren’t early adopters of Switch 2.
I’d tend to agree. There was no reality where they didn’t announce only Switch games this past June but with so many originals and not remakes and remasters, seems like it’s a last push to January before they reveal the new hardware, rounding out 2024 and going full into 2025 on Switch 2
Paused at 1:18 to say that I can't see them announcing it before Christmas because that would hurt potential Switch sales. I'm calling a Jan/Feb announcement, it just makes good business sense
They have 15 billion dollars in cash on hand, they can more than afford to sacrifice holiday switch sales. It’s really about pride, they could wait until January so that the switch gets that final boost it needs to hit 160m in the end and become the definitive best selling console of all time.

I think a Nintendo announcing a system in October that they're not going to release for the holiday season would be a massive mistake on their part. I agree that I believe if they're getting ready to announce it, it would have to be very soon. Because if they announce a system for March of 2025, they're not going to make any sales during the holiday season. If anything, they might subtly mention that Nintendo switch games are backwards compatible.
I don’t think a 2025 announcement would make no sense because president of Nintendo said himself that it would be announced in this fiscal year if they were going to do a 2025 announcement it would have made a lot more sense for him to just say that the switch 2 to be announced early 2025 instead of the fiscal year he said originally. Nintendo likes to build hype I think if they waited intel January the hype would have died down a lot do too holiday realeases and people wont be focused as much
I hope that NS2 has capability to link wirelessly with NS/NS2 for Pokémon games, trading wise via Pokémon HOME. Also, looking forward how much more capable NS2 compared to NS.
It wont be getting the PS4/PS5 games that released more than five years ago that the Switch missed on. How do I know this? Nintendo Switch has got less than half of the 360 games they missed during the Wii. The games that will never be available on a Nintendo has gotten larger and larger.
E.g the Just Cause Series, which has been around for almost two decades, has not been on any Nintendo console. The bad news is its pretty much the only game in its niche. Its not a GTA clone. They are about as similar to each other as Smash is to God of War
I bet the switch 2 will launch around the holiday season next year. I heard this on TH-cam that Nintendo is not dropping the price for the current switch console until the holiday season next year. This comes from the recent Nintendo shareholders meeting. Due to the recent Nintendo shareholders meeting. Nintendo said new games will take more time and money to make now.
I’m curious if they do a little sneak peek of switch 2, maybe but I hope we some new updates soon.

tbh for the switch 2 i hope that they improve most of the game we have on this console, because most of the games on switch rn suffer from some serious framedrop, like for example mario + rabbids sparks of hope, it's a beautiful game but for some cutscenes it get negative fps
Remember that Wii U to Switch had such a short window given the climate at the time. Nintendo wanted to get away from the Wii U ASAP so revealing Switch in Oct to launch in March was to try to recover from the previous gen’s flop. Nintendo dropped of Wii U and moved onto the Switch like the Wii U never even existed. This time around, Nintendo is not in any hurry to leave Switch behind, so they can delay the timeline. I still think they’d do a reveal in January or February and launch April or May for the new fiscal year. Nintendo will continue to support Switch for another 2-3 years given the huge install base so it’ll give most of us time to upgrade.

@@EarthsGeomancer it’s more than just a prediction, we had a lot of sources all corroborating, sources that thanks to Nintendo’s anti leak policy we have discovered to be REAL, that it was launching holiday 2024.

@@minecrafter3448 everyone's jumped on this internal delay. Nintendo never made an announcement. All the creators who were using the imminent announcement of a switch 2 earlier this year jumped on the internal delay story despite not being directly connected to the "sources". It's all just convenient rumours that shifts the responsibility from the creator who benefitted from talking about it.
In my opinion, the Nintendo switch 2 will be released in December 2026, Nintendo has no pressure to release it sooner
