Sakura stands does have a parry mechanic
it's just so obscenely weird that it took me a while to understand it
Basically:
you block, your opponent does a move and if you unblock like right after the move is done it parries
Barrage hits included.
LMB included.
It’s parry system is similar to super smash brothers ultimate

If you mess up in Sakura stands, first of all you lose like half your hp because of the other guys combo but then you have to also trackstar so you can get your moves back up and try again

just joined the game's discord server, and the first thing i see is people talking about how drawing loli hentai isn't bad.
Sakura Stand is almost always in some type of controversy. It's surprising that a singular dev made all of this, but the community fucking sucks. They gave the female stands ages in order for creeps not to be creepy, but the community still draws nsfw of them despite them having ages. The staff are usually hella racist or homophobic, or just go on power trips. Occasionally (so far that I've seen) the in-game community is really chill, probably because they've got literally nothing to do but grind. it's all just random shit from Undertale AUs or something. There's tons of videos about how the staff are racist, tell people to kill themselves, etc. But yeah, that's Sakura Stand. A shit game with Shit pvp, and mostly recolored skins, and a garbage staff team.

What's funny is that this game was originally an ABDM clone. By ABDM I mean an A Bizarre Day Modded clone, which was basically A Bizarre Day filled with mainly TWOH and SPOH reskins, reskins of other stands/abilities, and maybe a few original abilities with copied assets/moves from an existing spec that they stole already. Basically what AUT was before NU.
These games were the same thing but they had small differences like one having a TWOH reskin that the other one didn't. And if they tried to make a new stand that ABD didn't have, theyd just re-use the animations and moves that one stand already has, change the functions a little bit and call it a day.
An example of this from ABD would be DTW, it was TWOH with a barrage, one shot knives and a teleport but with no timestop. Sonic was just vampire but very fast and could fly, literally no difference in animations.
An exmaple of this form AUT was Purple guy, was just a SPOH reskin, another example was cranberry HG, just a HG reskin.

5:47 the icon is the passive of Acerola, the lance user that was next to you is a user of Acerola and basically the passive at 3 charges or full icon freezes you for a few seconds

Oh, also there's waifu stands, completely broken stands, almost all musics were removed due to copyright, if u have a low power device M1s go slower, PvP tag takes years to disappear and it stacks if u get hit, kinda of annoying events that are super rare and have stupid ways of doing it. As a player who regularity plays this game, the only reason I still do is because it's fun bullying the great amount of 5 year old children with literally the worst stands (valid reason)
i used to do that but when i realised what horrible things the owner and staff do i gave up entirely. i havent played in months.

Sakura stand having the worst pvp experence you could EVER found in the jojo game history, even worst than YBA, simply because how unfair the PVP can be, imagine having half of your health GONE in 1 combo, a single fucking combo, and you're almost gone! and they just start spamming m1 and play cooldown, and then do the combo again, you're done.
besides that, I like the effects, stands design, and most skins, and active updates (still alot of bugs) but over all, it wasn't THAT bad, I would consider it better than AUT currently.

Let me explain the controversy. For those that want a quick explanation, i’ll say it here with the full one below.
Owner likes lolicon - nsfw of a character that is a minor. Garbage weeb community. A lot of the staff are extremely hostile.
Now the actual explanation.
The owner made a list of ages for the female stands and characters of the game. A decent amount of them were underage while others “looked” underaged.
Later in time; the owner/dev of the game decided to put nsfw of one of the SS female stands as his pfp. He claimed there was r34 of it, but nobody cared too much besides the degenerates of the community.
Eventually the owner decided to make a side pvp-ish game, with a sub-server for it. There he posted stuff about the game and nsfw that involves the sakura stand characters. At first it was kind of odd that he was just showing off the nsfw, but then he made nsfw of the underaged characters. He has also said many racial slurs during this, like the hard R.
People had three responses to this. Ignore it and move on (horrible choice), give up on the game and community (good choice), or be a disgusting sicko and enjoy it (go to hell).
The owner is basically a lolicon supporter.
As of the last few months and weeks, the staff team has gotten more lazy and more hostile to members. Racism, homophobia, etc.
As for the actual community I’ll sum it up in the most simple way I can.
Imagine reddit anime fans if they had discord. Cringe 13-15 year old guys that dropped out of school and pretend to be anime characters. Anime GIF reactions. most of their active members are total weirdos. Just go in their discord server and look at their average conversations that are held, it’s either an average convo or the most weirdest weeb crap you’ve ever seen.

A long time ago back when SS was still an ABD modded game they had a little beef with A Bootleg's Day, another ABD Modded game. long story short someone in SS community decided to use epilepsy exploit in ABLD and reportedly atleast one person got a seizure. Their community is disgusting and I doubt anyone who respects their reputation would want to get near it
