- I truly can't believe it. It feels almost like old school YBA. If they can get a better handling on the bugs, as well as some sound balancing, this game might actually have a chance.

Game is still having AI trouble as of last night. I'd say it's a give or take 50-50 shot you get into a server where the AI is functional. They also changed the map, which fixes a fair few of my gripes with general direction, and figuring out where to go.

Update 3rd Feb: The AI have mostly been fixed! Thought Eclipse would've done so, he didn't. Either way the issue has been mostly resolved. The AI should now only break individually and not all of them breaking at once (if they do break)

Hey! I’m the owner of the game. Yeah, the AI being bugged is slowly getting fixed. Only in public servers does this happen, and I recently logged all errors that happen so I can fix it. This recently broke because of an optimization I did. Also, thanks for the feedback, I’m always trying to improve the game, and I’ll note these in mind.

i’m surprised he reviewed this and even more surprised he liked it. the game is super buggy imo but it has potential which i’m glad eclipse recognized. i def think eclipse should come back to this game in a few months to see the games progress

Eclipse, I feel like addressing the deepwoken recommendations in the QnA would be for the best. We'd just like to hear what you have against the game, whether it be genuine complaints, personal preferences or maybe even a dislike for paid access games.

I always wonder why games like this just never include a map or something. I mean, just adding a map keybind with markers for the side quests and story quests plus any other important sights will solve like 80% of the problems with people getting lost or not knowing what to do next.
I know everyone keeps saying it, but no. I’m sorry to who this offends, but this game really DOES need more originality. It just looks like YBA, works like YBA, and a lot of the gameplay feels janky. There is at least some storyline, but even the m1 animation is entirely based on the YBA or GPO ones. As long as you change the majority of the fighting without making it another stun simulator, you can have a potentially great game. No hate at all, but I do think you should change at least some form of combat.

Well now that you've said how you feel about deepwoken, I'm interested in what you have issues with though if it's a lack of telling you anything about what to do yeah it definitely has an issue of telling you almost NOTHING about where your supposed to be or what your supposed to be doing, and it does take time to remember alot of that stuff. It also just has permadeath and if that's a problem you got with it, it certainly makes the game harder and I can see why alot of people hate it because it is highly frustrating when you get jumped by a ton of random people with pvp focused builds for existing. As for the cards, I myself find them interesting yet the RNG kinda ruins it all for me, seeing as one of the only ways to increase those odds for better rolls is through pvp. Going on to the combat I personally love it and its basically the only reason I play the game at all, it's a system that allows anyone, no matter how weak, to have a small chance in a fight as long as your skilled enough however the issue there is that it can take a really long time to learn timings and alot of people just dont enjoy reaction based combat.
I'm just interested in what makes you say that it's bad, other than it's just bad and I'd like to hear some of the more specific criticism you have about it.
I could say the same. I wish he could’ve given a reason even as simple as “I don’t like permadeath mechanics” or “I don’t like roguelikes” so people could know not to recommend him games like that

Hi eclipse, would you please tell me why you would not like to try deepwoken. It’s my favorite game at the moment and I truly enjoyed it starting out, not knowing everything and being scared to wipe and having fun yet being scared of exploring was great. The game is fix more now it spawns you near Rohan, npcs fight back, and jotaro gives you the arrow now and story gives you the money you need and shows where the next thing is

Its probably for the same reason he left YBA; the community. Deepwoken attracts a certain niche of people, and is rife with toxicity. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve love Deepwoken to death and spent the 3 years prior to its release pouring my heart and soul into Rogue Lineage, but yes, both communities are toxic cesspools comprised almost solely of big buff black guys in their mid forties, or alternatively 9 year old squeakers at a ratio of about 50/50. Now, it you revel in that kind of environment, its fantastic. Best place to be. Top notch. One of the most magical and captivating experiences you could have. But, if its not? Then it will more than likely drive you off the edge of a cliff.

I played this a while ago, and I can confirm the AI worked fine when I played. It must have started around the time you started recording, unfortunately. The game has a lot of potential.
Ripping off yba completely and making it a discount version seemed to work pretty well. Wonder why people who play this don't play yba though since yba is just this game but better?

Yeah npcs were not broken in the last update, this is a VERY recent thing
Also in the last they used to give you that $5000 after beating a boss, they changed a fair bit since before, the map was smaller and VERY straight forwards

It’s actually better, It cares bout its mobile players. You can Bind your Keys on mobile, and it’s not necessary since if you use the hamon spec with your stand enabled, it won’t make you use let’s say angelo trap when you press Zoom punch. There is a lot more too
They updated this and now it’s fixed is pretty much almost on par with yba so come back and check it out is actually really good

My only problem with this game is that you have to "rank up" (prestige) to get more stand storage (unless that's changed). That and some of the things look like they're taken from other games to me, like the dmg indicator looking like yba's. some skill tree features were locked (although I understand if that's because moves weren't made or were broken).
The game was actually pretty okay but I didn't really have that good of an experience and quit at rank 3.
That just encourages you to play more the game, be quiet. And the dmg indicator isn't from YBA it's just same design. To get fucking access to YBA the owner would need a backdoor and he could just steal scripts and models you stupid idiot.

The only thing that deepwoken really has is it’s price, which is around $55 cheaper than an actual souls game.

I think games should focus less on level gates and more on recommended levels for quests. I've played my fair share of games with level gates and recommendations and it is a lot more fun to do high level quests with 2-3 of your friends at a lower level. It adds a bit of fun and reason to play with others. I'll never understand why developers don't do this more often.
Nothing is level locked! The most i got for being underleveled was a warning telling me the quest might be hard

@@lowqualitypaleking2704 i dont see whats so poorly made about deepwoken from a development standpoint, most if not all of the stuff in game (Vfx, Sfx, OST, ect.) are all high quality works, game design is also pretty solid, balance issues are always inescapable little gremlins in the game design of any combat oriented game, but relative to all the games shown on Eclipse's channel, it is a far step above in terms of balancing. The endgame dryness I understand but thats been addressed.
You're spot on with the issues faced by low level players tho, sadly Deepwoken had to be cursed with a player base surpassing ABA in toxicity.

ok so heres my perspective of this game and why eclipse is somewhat recommending it, its just a yba clone with its own issues and worse graphics but for eclipse this is ideal because its everything his wanted in a roblox jojo game more or less but without all the bullshi yba has, you could call it a baseplate yba, a free asset yba perhaps but this isnt worse technically then yba because all the problems yba has makes this game look amazing in comparison but this is just a baseplate of a game that already exist and is better or worse idk pick your opinion, remember when the assets for a bizarre day was leaked and there were like hundreds of clones made, basically this is one of those clones if yba took the place of abd, the devs for this game would become another uzu if the game blew up and then what, a skin farming simulator thats what
I believe, the devs would be able to handle the game blowing up in a way that makes the game enjoyable and that also brings them more money ( 2 things uzu cant do at the same time) since they seem like they know what they are doing

I know I'll probably end up on the daily dose of stupid for this, but I suggest playing Demon Fall. Like most Roblox games, Demon Fall, too, consists of a lot of grinding, but unlike the rest of Roblox games, it doesn't feel like a poorly-made simulation and makes the player feel like they are in the game. Yes, it is a demon slayer game, which would be rare on this channel, but Demon Fall's combat(at least in my opinion) is better than all of these jojo games', and players don't want to run and reset due to the combat system and the resetting changes. It would be interesting to know what problems you've got with it, I say give it a try!
200 hours spent and only 5th prestige. Bro, I spent three weeks of my summer vacation playing nonstop, and all for the sake of extra skill points. This game is grindy af. You either suffer with crow quest or server hop looking for Gyutaro/Kaigaku. Or, if you're built different, you can farm inf castle. And combat is nothing special. I don't wanna compare with Deepwoken, it'd be an overkill, but even AUT combat feels more consistent than these semi random hit boxes. Prime example of this is Kaigaku and his grabs in middle of stun. This game's combat is not too far from shit like Blox Fruits. You don't fight npcs, you cheese them. And yeah, if you won't prestige, you'll get smacked by no-life kings with fully upgraded sun breathing and kamado family or by moon breathing hybrids. Breathings are pretty well made but as I said, hitboxes and stuns. Combat in general is pretty laggy. And of course, map. The map is made pretty well, except that it is a damn running sim. Lower Erisia stands above the entire Demon Fall map in terms of game design. Remember that "40 seconds" rule that were used in Witcher? It'd take you about a minute or two to get to Ent. District from slayer base. Map is hilariously big, even Uzu realized this and compressed YBA map. Although I criticize this game so much, I can't call it straight up bad. Title of bad games goes to something like super power training sim. Demon Fall is mediocre, maybe slightly above it.

Also, if you understood my point at all, I said that demon fall has actual decently-skilled developers, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the game is fun. Let me be with my comment, and I don't even grind in Demon Fall due to having to go to high school, but as someone who's passionate about coding, I respect the developers of that game for their skill.
Fun fact eclipse, this game is COMPLETELY different looking on mobile, apparently, the map on mobile is more simplistic and is lacking some of the characters in the start, aka rohan and koichi, it’s rather strange yet also intriguing

I have a random stupid thought that you might want to check out Black magic 2, a pretty intense fighting game which you probably need to play more than 5 hours to figure out a class, but its satisfying when you get off a combo lol.

the NPC bug is likely something with the server, somebody probably bugged out a raid boss and broke all of the AI.
At the time I played which is 3 weeks ago. I play and it work, there's also a jotaro next to the clock tower and i got a The World from Jotaro's arrow.
And also at that time, I remember the finale boss isn't Kosaku, it's Diaboro.

It's a team of devs that includes yba and aut devs for a jojo game that looks beautiful, it's not released yet, but they keep saying that it'll take most good aspects of other jojo game (storyline, no m1 sim and more) so i'm looking forward to how this will turn out, i hope that it'll also be able to surpass yba, we'd be entering a whole new era.
About that crazy adventure, the game has a lotta potential too, i think it's got a good shot if the devs dont mess it up
