Another helpful tip for lightening all fingers is Cortot's (if I'm right) exercise, where fingers play in the two layers of keys' depth in four movements. 1. Press half step without sound, 2. press second step producing a soft sound, 3. come up half distance so that the note still sounds, 4. release the key coming to a rest position just touching the surface. Repeat every finger.
The day I can afford your courses, I WILL BUY THEM. Even if I don’t think I need them at that time, I WILL BUY THEM. It would be small way to show just how much I’ve appreciated and continue to appreciate all of the free content you post on here Thank you 🖤
Great tips! It really is challenging not to accent the thumb ESPECIALLY on crossovers. You give great technique advice and has greatly influenced my playing style as well as how I teach my stufentsv
Hey Josh, I'm currently learning liszt's etude 6 (Grandes études de PaganinI). I watched the pro practice clip of the same on TH-cam and would like to purchase the entire video. So, my question is: are videos on the website included when you become a member or do they have a seperate cost? Side note: you're playing is incredible; one of the best. Love your videos!
well, that seems to be just something for the very experienced Players, i presume, for those who don't need any lessons anymore, i guess, because as an amateure i don't see anything which would help me any further
Josh is the BEST pianist! Helping us solve even the most minute problems on the piano!
