Rent a vendor weekly on a place that has a gate 24/7 on newbie island and sell those armor kits, all kind of weapons individually. I bet it Will profit You something
You could scavenge AK4. It's like the event scavenging but year round.

Once at 110 you have a chance at Avarite.
Scavenging is going to be hard to beat.
If you want more interactive playstyle, you could sell checks in AK4 or Maus4. Looks your max was around 28k; bring checks of 14k, tell people you can sell it to them, throw in a free repair or smn
Perhaps bring idk 5k checks sell for 10k, while you are scavenging anyway
I remember as a kid finding out a secret way into the walls of Lord British's Castle, where there were tons of containers filled with loot that would respawn, mostly weapons and armor. I was able to steal blind and avoid the dreaded "guards" because it was in a restricted area, and out of sight of anyone.
I'd steal everything and stand around and wait out the wanted period to end, walk out and sell it. Rinse and repeat. This was pre any expansions, heck, there were barely any guides or resources for the game online period, at least they weren't easy to find, so discovering the exploit made 10 year old me feel like a genius.
I know its been awhile but keep at it boss. Become the blacksmith you were always meant to be.
Your technique to get gold sucks, but it's absolutely brilliant for a video! I really hope you put together a part 3! Keep up the awesome work.
I did this same thing, made my one and pretty much only character a blacksmith. I've always wanted to play a blacksmith in UO. In Outlands, they're actually really good. They get good pvm bonuses. Pickaxes are good weapons. Ore is light. And it's very simple to mine with 1 hotkey press.
This video represents the true spirit of UO! This is why UO is better versus all the modern games. The progression, the social side, its all simply insane and in other level!

Oh man, I just got back into outlands the other day. This is great, back in the late 90s I played UO just for a lil bit and did the same thing, became a miner got a bunch of ores, smith armors and what not to get a house deed.
THE THING IS on that shard... all the land was taken up. So it was hard to find a spot to place the house, so it kinda let me down. Made me upset as some stupid kid so I kinda stopped playing.
I came into outlands sometime last year thinking I was going to do the same thing but I did not lul. I just went backstabber and dive the dungeons.
