FFXI - Intense Ambuscade Vol One May 2024 Battle Strategies and Easy Solo Battle Examples

In this months Intense Ambuscade we take on Tonberries. I go over Battle Strategies for both solo and party play while showing two battle examples of me soloing it on Easy with Ninja and Dragoon.

could you pls list all the addons/plugins that you are using? I recognize a few of them like Skillchains, Timers and Equipviewer but don't know those that are on the right (some kind of parser I guess) and the other one left-most under Timers. thank you

Do shadows block the Skillchain on higher difficulty? I've heard some reports of turning not always working (probably a server/client timing issue...), and I wonder if there's a more reliable way to avoid it

They block some but not all of the abilities, so it does help but I don't think stops it entirely as I know a few of them still go through shadows.

Random question about version update. I just came back to the game at free login, re-did my windower/addons, everything was fine. The update happened on the 13th and now my stars aren't 3d. I saw the xiviewer wasjust updated on the 13th, re-downloaded that, replaced the rom folders, and still nothing. Are you having this issue? Something else I am missing?

Yep, it's going to depend on exactly which version of xiview you use but yes 3d stars are gone for me right now as well. Hoping they get updated soon.

@@NextGamesGuide Nevermind, I was re-downloading the main master file as i figured whole thing was updated. I clicked on the "latest" spot to the right (as shown in your make ffxi beautiful) and it said "XiView_2.4.7.normal.zip" and it worked.

Tonberry hate? You want to reset that before starting the first run and as long as you call for help on all tonberries as suggested in the video you should be able to keep that hate low without having to continually reset it every few runs.

Fck vol 1 this month omg i thought i was so ready being able to do vols 2 last month in 124 man was i wrong i should be able to do 124 on vol 2 though but god damn

Yea it's a rough month for Vol 1... I think most soloers will stick to Vol 2.
