On a serious note, you don't have to spam everytime. On physical prowess & abilities, Okuu is the one you wanna avoid getting cornered with, since she'll literally blast through your bumhole with her third leg and fill your intestines to the brim with nuclear radiation. Her normal attacks can fling you upwards, her 2 basic abilities are overhead bullets that can hit you (hard), and not to mention her *big thick hitbox.* She hits harder than your dad did to your mom. Her damage is massive. Mentioning her movement, she's slower than my single braincell can do math, but when she dashes, she just went straight for *KANSEI DORIFTO.* Her dash is uncontrollable, you can't stop midway so you'll definitely get kicked in the face when you just wanna graze a bit. So do be careful. Her projectiles are *THICC.* She has a laserbeam, which is always nice, and a giant big ball of fuck you that you can spam almost everytime since her gauge refill rate is pretty high. And when i said only use the big projectiles, i mean it. Her small projectiles are just a bunch of nuclear diarrhea. Her spellcards, *hoo boy,* those are something else. Her array of spellcards consists of finishing moves, only 2 of them are actually defensive (not by any means they're effective, they're dogshit). So you wanna gather as much cards as possible to use your strongest spellcard before your enemy can to blast them away Team Rocket style. My personal favorite is Subterranean Sun, which literally creates a miniature sun with gravitational field, that somehow only affects your enemies. Funny how Touhou works. *ESPECIALLY DO NOT SPAM AGAINST ALICE, SHE'S A GODDAMN NIGHTMARE AGAINST OKUU MAINS LIKE ME.*
Also when playing Okuu she has a huge hit box, meaning combo heavy characters like Yukari can keep you trapped in loops much easier, and blockstrings are harder for you to get out of. Always space your normals as Okuu and don’t be afraid to Border Escape to avoid scary stuff.

I can literally do a no-hit run on Lunatic mode on Arcade, if it hadn't because of her ruining my streak. Blocks all the time, controls the middle section of the stage, annoying melee, all of them in one tight package.

Against Utsuho, she is forced to commit to dashes much more than other characters, allowing for Laplace C set ups into Aerials or just catching utsuho with a stop sign.

Not really. Okuu is one of the most difficult character to control in Soku, along with Meiling & Suwako (by far the hardest). By far the most beginner friendly character in Soku is either Suika, Marisa, or Reimu.

Newbies will only play balanced characters like Suika, Marisa & Reimu to learn the controls & get used to it. A newbie playing as Meiling is like a big sign that says "shoot me".
