ALL NEW Glasgow Subway 2022 - Part 3 of 3 (City Centre Stations)

Here’s our new video of Glasgow from March 2022 in the Subway’s 125th anniversary year. The visit’s in three parts - the stations on the city’s north side (Part 1 of 3); the section from Bridge Street to Govan (Part 2 of 3); and the two ‘flagship’ city centre stations (this film); and .
Glasgow is the third-oldest underground railway in the world (after London and Budapest).
The first 33 cars of the rolling stock shown here was built by Metro-Cammell in Washwood Heath between 1977 and 1979 and eight additional cars were built in 1992. The rolling stock entered service when the subway re-opened after modernisation work in 1980. These trains will soon be retired when the third generation Stadler-built stock enters service.
