“I’m not education smart” is possibly the funniest and yet most accurate statement Nate has made on the podcast. It was nice of Badminton and Aaron to keep it moving. Thank you folks for the distraction every week. Y’all are the best!

The fact that nobody emptied their bladder or bowels over that "give or take" is a slap in the face. That may be my favorite throwaway joke of all time. I think I love it more than some family members and we've only just met.

"The solo stove in sky" had me laughing so hard at work! Thank you for everything you guys do. And also to Brainscan, your under-your-breath jokes are not wasted on me. You kill it on this podcast. Ive never heard your nose whistling and I don't understand the hate you get. Keep up the great work.

I love the funny stories of things that Happen at your shows. I was in a Christian rock band and played a show at an outdoor youth festival. The next day I had a teenager come up to me at my regular job at Walmart and saw me and said aren't you a singer in a band, I said yes and they said yeah I got your cd and autograph yesterday, and then he said so you just work at Walmart. I said yep and he just said huh and turned around, as he was walking away I heard his buddy chuckle and say dude you got the produce guys autograph.

While watching my favorite podcast, Nateland, I had a TH-cam ad pop up about 20 minutes in. The ad was a new Tom Brady Hertz commercial, where he says “Let’s Go” about 15 times. It starts with “Let’s go toast” and I laughed so hard I snotted all over my phone.

Love hearing the spouse stories from listeners. I got my wife to love Nate’s standup during Covid and tried on many occasions to get her into Nateland but no-go. Sometimes when I’m walking around the house listening with earbuds in I get laughing really good and she asks me what I am listening to and when I tell her she responds “really?!” with a look of disbelief and then she walks away.

Out of all the concepts and ideas that Barry brought up, it amazes me that the one that Nate had the most difficulty understanding was the "Goldilocks Zone" which should have been the one that needed next to no explanation. But then he goes on to explain the very difficult concept of how there's no center of the universe like a boss by comparing it to the ocean. Nate's mind is truly an enigma.....

We had a DJ at our wedding that did a whole act during dinner it was awesome. We thought it was great, it was really like dinner and a show. Once dinner was over he went from comedian to hilarious DJ that would mess with people throughout the night. It was a perfect balance and something different for the dinner part of the wedding. Congrats on all the success we saw you at the Vic a few years back and we'll be there at the Chicago Theater in a couple weeks. Also super impressed with Brian, you guys read my comment awhile back about the Cubs. Nobody ever, ever gets our last name right and he did. Demes( D-Miss). Natelandians! Music is not dead! Look up the Artist: "Billy Strings" and you will find the most creative and talented (Grammy Award winning/nominated) musician this country has produced in the last 25 years (he's only 29). William "Billy Strings" Apostol blends bluegrass/metal/jam/rock/etc. "Turmoil and Tinfoil" or "Meet me at the Creek" are good places to start. Let's Geaux Folks!

Just rewatched the 90's episode which resurrected my love for the old DOS PC game "PGA Tour". It was one of my first video game obsessions. You could play several PGA courses in incredibly low-resolution. My favorite course to play was TPC Sawgrass and at the time I was 7 and didn't even realize it was a real course. Anyway, seeing Nate's TPC Sawgrass sweatshirt made me go try to find that game on the computer again. I just wasted an hour playing that game this morning. Thanks for nothing - or maybe thanks for everything? Look forward to the show every week - peace out, folks!

TonyBurger is a local chain in Utah -- Holladay is a suburb of Salt Lake City and there are also locations in Centerville, Downtown SLC, South Jordan, Wes Valley, Clinton, and Herriman. One of the best burger joints here in Utah -- my wife and I frequent the Centerville branch - and I'm glad to hear that in addition to having great burgers - they also have mediocre taste in comedy. Absolutely love the show -- is a highlight of each and every week! Thank you all for what you do -- can't wait to see you live in February!

HI guys! So, this is a fantastic episode, and I think you should do more like this. I think the big bang stuff, you really should go maybe read some books abou the topic that are written by scientists but in layman's terms so it's easy to understand, and I think the book "The Grand Design" by Hawking and Mlodonow would do that very well for you guys. If I could sum up what I think you ought to know or the tidbit I think could move your conversation along further (and do by all means also google to verify that this is the case), the idea of the big bang is basically "everything, all the stuff in the universe, started *together* in the middle of a *smaller universe*, and then the universe itself *got bigger* and stopped squishing all of the stuff (ie, all energy and all matter) into that small space, and began expanding at all places in 3 dimensions.
So the big bang means, "we are at the center of the bang", but it's also the center *everywhere*, mostly because of the same sort of reasoning that, when you look at the ocean, you are at the exact center between every point on the horizon; because that is just the nature of looking at something like an ocean or a universe, from one single place in it.
There's more details, and I'm not a qualified scientist, but other stuff you should follow up on includes details like "all the types of stuff in the universe at that bang moment, was all hydrogen- and so this hydrogen had to first clump together, then get big enough that the pressure inside started nuclear reactions and the clumps became these things we call 'stars', and then those stars had to explode to throw around the new-type-of-nuclear-fused-stuff into the universe for more interesting chemistry (LIKE US) to be made from. The "POOF SUDDENLY THE MODERN UNIVERSE" description is just not what the big bang is all about, and it's one of the most important discoveries possible to make in the universe, so it's worth understanding.

The mother said when the hospital asked for the name of the baby she told them she didn't have one, that the hospital named her daughter. Aaron: The Andromeda Galaxy is moving directly toward us at 68 miles a second, which is 1.8 Rhode Islands across per second.
Nate: So every second, it gets a Rhode Island closer to us.
Aaron: The width of Rhode Island, 1.8 of those.

I threw out the idea of comedian (again) which was a gamble since the last one 5 years ago went over horribly after he showed up plastered. This is another episode where Nate seems to be questioning his intelligence. There is a difference between being dumb and being ignorant. Will Rogers said "everybody's ignorant, just on different subjects". I believe Nate's humor is derived from his perceived lack of knowledge. A more educated Nate would be as funny as a tall Kevin Hart or a skinny Jim Gaffigan.
