Love this train! Probably one of the most punctual train in SR. It almost always reaches all it's stations ahead of home and departs bang on time. And always reaches Trichy ahead of schedule.
Lovely route! Brings back memories of a wonderful Alco-hauled Ananthapuri express trip I did on this after my 10th exams - it was early monsoon and the winds around Aralvaimozhi were crazy! This section also had MAUQ signalling until not too long ago.

Kanyakumari District is not just ‘similar’ to Kerala. Rather it’s the same land mass on the western side of the ‘Western Ghats’, part of Travancore and lot different from main land Tamil Nadu

I noticed the change of topography of both Palghat and Trivandrum dist borders.
The Trivandrum side is purely "Keraleeyam".
But toward Coimbatore it is so different
NB- the PA in kerala stations say Trivandrum only in English.

சேட்டா அற்புதமான அழகானதொரு V Log. Melapalayam Tirunelveli Jn sencond line and 2nd bridge on river Tamilbharani is readied for commissioning as line block is on progress between 1/2 to 24/2/24 now. After that UP trains will straight away enter into Nellai by using new Tamirabharani Bridge. Thank you sir
