You definitely deserve more subs mate, your channel is awesome. As a dm myself and a 3d printing enthusiast, I find your channel to be super relevant for me. I also get alot of inspiration from you. Keep up the great work!
ooooh ANOTHER reason to get an FDM printer :D Nice video - I look forward to seeing the video where you talk through this encounter as well :) Cheers buddy!
@@OverboardDM Really? you don't know that show, you need too look it up on Amazon Prime if you have it or buy it or down loud it, I think you'll like it
From your story i would go with something like “The Executioner of the Sea”. Awesome print. I might print one myself now as we just started Ghosts of Saltmarsh.
Great video. When i looked at the ship at the website... it looked like it could also be printed per deck level to run encounters below deck. Did I see that correctly?
You have to be really careful with it but acetone works really well as a glue for PLA. It works in the same way plastic cement does, it partially melts the surface so when you press your pieces together, it's a weld rather than a glue joint and is as strong as anywhere else. Like I said, you have to be really careful, but I find painting a very, VERY thin layer on a surface with an old brush (less is more) will permanently bond your parts in just a few seconds.
This was a bit on the expensive side as for 3d printing goes. The filament was about $20cnd another $4 for the mast and sails and the stl file cost $17... however now that I own the stl the next print like this won't have that cost. The brown ship the party uses, for example, I have printed 3 of them now.
So, just out of curiosity, *why* were you trying to TPK them? I mean, I know for some DMs that just how they roll, but I've always found the DM vs Player mindset somewhat limiting as D&D (to me) has always been about facilitating collaborative storytelling. The TPK is reserved only when they go full-blown MurderHobo™, at least as far as I'm concerned. Obviously, your mileage my vary.
“The purple tide” 👍🏻👍🏻
The sails do have purple in them as well
Other DM's: "Go easy on your party, you're not trying to win."
Troy: "I'm gonna murder these bastards!!!! Muahahaha"
Hahaha there at 18th level it's hard to murder them now.
Also, ship name suggestion: "St John's Vengeance"
@@KnarbMakes Haha, there is a fog cloud trailing behind the ship at all times, with that name!

Thanks so much. I don't get a ton of feedback and comments like this are so encouraging and motivating for me to keep it up. I really appreciate it!
that thing came out amazing man
thanks my man.
Amazing build! Loved it. Super creative with the sails as well.
Thanks as always
Omg I wish I would have found this before my group got off their sea voyage! Great job
Thank a ton! And thanks for watching. Our whole campaign gas been nautical based so we have had a ton for seafaring adventures!
Looks great bud :) These Plastic printers are now getting smoother and smoother finishes compared to years ago :)
For sure! This is an older one now to!
I follow loads of crafting DND channels and found you yesterday. Love the work brother.
Very cool to hear! Thank you kindly.
@@FacilityD20 I'm loving your vibe man. Do you have a strict schedule of day/s you post or do you just rock on whenever you have time?
I loved this so much! Would love to see more boats!
Here are some little boats I did th-cam.com/video/2ERpGUlhg0A/w-d-xo.html
Here is a ghostship I did th-cam.com/video/t-yO-22Gt4M/w-d-xo.html
Great work, man.... looks sweet. Ship looks like 'The Dreadnaught'...
Thanks! That's two suggestions for The Dreadnaught now!
I’ve got the Falling Star and I need a second ship for a cool ship battle. I might look for something like this on eBay.
Nice!
nice ship model you made dude and imagine if you can build the black pearl ship model.
Thanks, that would be cool for sure
Yarr!! And other nautical things to be yelled! Fine work, that. Anyone should be proud to captain her. Cheers!
Yarrr Thanks mate!
ooooh ANOTHER reason to get an FDM printer :D
Nice video - I look forward to seeing the video where you talk through this encounter as well :)
Cheers buddy!
Thanks for watching as always! It will be a little while before this encounter video comes out there are 2 ahead of it at the moment.
Finally get to see this ship. Awesome. The “Darkness” is coming. The “darkness” herself is approaching our starboard bow!
Yes! Up till 2am trying to finish filming... editing all day too.
Are you watching Supernatural lol, but it would be a cool name Cujo
@@BluestreekCustoms no. What's supernatural?
@@OverboardDM Really? you don't know that show, you need too look it up on Amazon Prime if you have it or buy it or down loud it, I think you'll like it
@@BluestreekCustoms sounds like a girly show like Buffy the vampire slayer. Lol
Love the presentation in this video, great work on all fronts man
Thanks a lot! I feel its a step in the right direction.
You just earned yourself a new subscriber! Jesus, you deserve at least 5k subscribers! Keep up the good work. Greetings from Germany 👍
Cool! Hello in Germany! Thanks, maybe we can reach 5k by years end!
That's one hell of a build my friend, Great work. the name.... Drakonia
Thanks... cool name too.
When I seen all six prints on the table, all I could think was that that was a whole week of printing! lol nice Paintjob, and techniques dude!
Thanks! It was a few days for sure. Didn't helped that I wasted a few hours by forgetting to swap the filament.
Duuuude! I love ships in D&D! Yes!
This is like the 7th ship I printed in this campaign haha.
could you imagine a BFG fleet that size.. awesome work
That would need a huge table haha... I have another video on my channel where I scaled ships down to about 2 inches and make some fleet battle rules.
I want similar videos for Blood and Plunder ships!
I always loved the look of that game
I think I'll try printing this ship myself. I'll call it the "Devil's Descent"
Nice go for it. It's a good file to print, no issues
From your story i would go with something like “The Executioner of the Sea”. Awesome print. I might print one myself now as we just started Ghosts of Saltmarsh.
That's got a ring to it!
Dope ship, this video is not helping me resist a 3d printer. My name suggestion is 'Black Betty'
Thank! Yes, go for it, 3d printing is great for any miniatures game. I would already have a great theme song if I go with Black Betty.
Wow that’s epic
Thanks. I remember this build, it was good fun.
@@FacilityD20 what printer did you use thanks
The print could use slots to link the parts together
That would be a good idea
I remember leaving a print go over night and it ran out lol it was a 3day print too
I just did it with a resin print yesterday... I didn't expect it to happen, it sucks.
"The Dreaded Calm" Is a cool name
Haha that is pretty good.
Dude your accent is like nothing I've ever heard in my life!! Great ship BTW!!
Haha thanks?
@@FacilityD20 Newfie?
Great video. When i looked at the ship at the website... it looked like it could also be printed per deck level to run encounters below deck. Did I see that correctly?
Sorry, it has been so long I can not remember... but I believe you are correct.
What’s the big ship at 6:58
Would love to print it
That is also another ship available on Printable Scenery.
Anyone savy enough to take this file and hollow it out and add different levels so you can take layers off and play inside the boat as well?
That would be cool. The file comes with the interior decks to. You could use that and cut down on the amount of drafting you need to do.
I'm super late, but a cool name that I use for a large black ship is "the Dark Angle"
That is a great name!

Thanks for the tip I'm going to try that
can you scale these down ? great video
For sure, that us what I am actually doing today haha.
Hey. Do you remember how many spooles did it take to print. You mentioned $20 worth
It was about half a spool
The ravens claw
Nice!
My suggestion for the ship name is "the black death"
That's good too!
I love the art style of the ship. But looks like half a ship no? Still great work!
A little stubby and tall compared to the others I printed.
The Black Death
Great name.
How much did it cost to make? Also, The Dire Dealer is a good name for the ship.
This was a bit on the expensive side as for 3d printing goes. La Muerta Negra Del Mar, the Black Death of the sea.
God dam, now that's a name to fear!
Soon to be renamed the “Dark Walrus”
Bhaha... typical.
Hair Dryer to get rid of Strings
safer then my lighter
I would make the black pearl pirate ship
I would like to make a diorama of the black pearl for sure
Mariana's Dreadnought
It's got a dreadnought vibe to it for sure!
dragon assault ships avatar movie ?
I'll have to go check out that Trailer again.
You could name the ship the Black Reaper
That is a good one too

Violets Nightmare

Haha not a bit
Can you 3 d print me a skaven warband?? Lol
