Been planning for 10 years to start my own TH-cam channel since I first watched Brad in 2013 (Infamous second son I think was the game 😀 I was hooked right at the opening intro) and finally I am able to do it after being more stable in my career. Matthew Perry the first boss is actually a real person . He was the American sailor who sailed into Japan with a few warships . He forced Japan to open its ports to trade with the US. Japan was isolationist at the time and run by the shoguns . Perry is considered a controversial figure . He did open the first relations between Japan and the us but did it through force violating Japan’s sovereignty. He is credited with helping to modernize Japan but his methods were questionable . It is why Japan had American military advisors in the Meiji era . If Japan did not adopt a modern military at this time Britain , France or Russia would have colonized it . This is a very interesting setting they choose . It’s the time when the Samurai lose their power and the Japanese empire starts to rise. Some Japanese see this time as a great period others as leading their country to ruin . Sorry for the long post . I just like history 😂
Fast forward to the Royal Navy as the 'forefathers' of the Japanese navy in the time of steam-ships and dreadnoughts, they blew the shite out of the Russian fleet. and went on to seriously almost remove America from huge parts of the pacific. They learned from the best and improved on it. Ultimately, not enough resources but 'holy shit' these guys were a problem to fight with?

I don’t know you did get PTSD because you see your invasion was wrong or you got it because of what you faced from the poor people that were defending their land. If you see your invasion was wrong and you’re regretting it may God help you and guide you in your life. First found your channel 12 years ago! I was an 11 year old kid with a crappy laptop and a fresh copy of Skyrim on Xbox 360 for my birthday. Was stuck solving one quest and found your content so entertaining I not only watched the rest of your Skyrim series but for every year since. And now I’m 23 and hearing that’s the same age you were when you started this channel it’s just awesome seeing the channel grow alongside me and all the success you’ve gained along the way. I was nine, for saints row the third, I remember I was so excited after playing two, and didn’t have a way to play the third so I looked up a walkthrough at the time, and ended up having you as my first option, I never stopped watching since then, and have always come to your channel for games I can’t/wont buy yet, but now it’s become more of a personality and comfort kind of thing
