I had one of those S-10. It was a 1991 5-speed with the 2.5L engine with the basic package without power steering. Those trucks from that time frame are nice basic small trucks. I would have kept mine, but it needed some work after a friend had it for a while. So, I decided to get rid of it since I didn't have the time or place to do all the work that it needed.
Glad to see you back! i understand your life. i myself am in rhe other end ,retiring in a year and a half. Love this hobby as you and keep up the good work when you can. i have been fortune enough to do my hobby as a career as a locomotive engineer for NS for almost 30yrs. i also use to mess with cars when i could. Have a good time and enjoy what you do!!!
This is all great news Dan, I cannot wait for this Special to start once again. I am very happy for you for becoming a full time Mechanic on cars. I am also trying to do the same, I am currently at NMTCC working and learning about cars too! Hope it all goes well and see you soon.
For the people who don't know the story behind the usps LLV (long life vehicle) it was made by Northrup Grumman in the 70s/80s, Yes the same company that makes aircraft for the US military.
Glad to have you down at the PRRC. Sorry our layout killed your T1, it has a habit of exploding BLI locomotives. And locomotives in general, come to think of it.
Awesome to see you're back, Dan. Missed your content. I was wondering why you never made a video about that camel, I always thought it looked fantastic. Glad to see you got that bicycle too. I actually tried to get it through Varun a while back but they wouldn't sell it to me. Its in a good home now though : ) Can't wait to see what you have in store. Gonna try and get back to videos myself soon. Good luck with your Christmas challenge.
Good to see you back on TH-cam, Daniel. And yes, I remember the "Christmas" series. You have an "adult" life now, but definitely find time for trains. Do you still have the same email address? Thanks for sharing. 👍🐾👍
I like my N scale BLI SW7 Paragon 4 locomotive, but it's my second one. The first one died in 3 days but they replaced it for free. It could have been something I did in JMRI since it wasn't an updated version and didn't recognize the Paragon 4. Overall I think most modelers really like BLI and my second SW7 has been awesome. Of course I updated JMRI so it could identify the newer decoder and I've changed several settings without any issues. Maybe the older decoders were not so good, but the Paragon 4's seem ok, otherwise more people would be complaining about them.
Southern Pacific used to have the prototype Steam engine Locomotive that you have, back in the day, I'm pretty sure? You should look it up on the internet. I think it or a replica model is in the California Sacramento Railroad Museum now.
Dan Heckler has returned on Decembor 1rd, this is a true national holiday
Oh wow, I used to have that same metal desk. Built like a tank.

I would recommend replacing the BLI decoder with a soundtraxx sound decoder. Bli decoders are trash
