As someone who has gravel driveways, I recommend that the top layer of the driveway be what is called A/B limestone around here. Some call it 'crusher run'. It's basically a mix of the smaller rocks you got plus fine dust/dirt size. This fills in the gaps between the rocks and keeps them from imitating marbles as well as keeping them in place better. Of course, it's probably too late now, but you might consider trying it the next time you get rock.
Hackberries are good strong trees. We had two that were big trees in the sixties, one of which our tire swing hung from. One got taken out by a storm about ten years ago and we had to take down the other one last year because it was going hollow and it was big enough and tall enough that it could have done real damage to one of the barns. They were probably in the range of one hundred years old, the last one maybe more, so good luck with yours.

Watch how close those trees are to your buildings. Not only do you need room to get a mower through there, but the root ball grows slightly larger than the canopy. Then, the roots uplift a small section of the concrete slab, causing the slab to crack and fail. The trees need to be planted about 30 to 50 percent further from the building than the full grown crown radius.
