You showed us the parts washer, using heated water and sodium hydroxide. This brought back memories from my farm days. My Dad and I borrowed a gas powered, diesel fired, steam cleaner used to clean and disinfect mink pens, and used that machine to pressure wash any machinery we were restoring. It was not a large machine, but it sure made quick work of cleaning up and prepping a machine for painting. In the absence of such a machine, my idea is for you to take the hot water hydroxide fluid and use a pressure washer to apply, you may be able to strip the paint, grease and rust off of your entire machine, rather than use a sandblaster. Much quicker, less messy and strips everything down to bare metal for a perfect clean. Just a thought.

This comment is about heating your shop floor with hot water!!! Don't run boiler temperature water in or under that concrete. Start just above floor temperature water and increase the temperature slowly until the floor temperature is about 70°F maximum!! Hot water will cause too rapid expansion and crack and break your floor!!!!
So glad you mentioned the Cat D4 Dozer. I've seen you drive past it in so many videos and been frustrated when it was not covered in other "Tour Of The Yard" type videos. When you and Mike were working on his $500.00 D2 I was like "What about YOURS ??" Be nice to see you get yours going.
I love that beater with a heater. That was my dream truck when I was your age, right down to the color. Hey, its only junk if it doesn't run. If it runs, it has utility. The only caution is getting too many non-runners so that you don't have time to get them all running. You are the key to the whole puzzle. If you can take a non-runner and get it to run, it has utility. If you get overwhelmed and bogged down so that you don't have time or momentum to work on them, you end up with a field of junk. Ask me how I know that.
I'm amazed at how many of these projects I remember you working on. I've spent a lot of hours watching you work. Thanks for bringing us along and sharing your passion with all of us. Looking forward to seeing that that truck is in the shop that we can't see - I suspect it's a 70s Ford but we'll have to see when you spill the beans! Happy New Year Matt!

God bless and happy new year, I'm looking forward to the next video.

I just had another guess at what Matt might do with the 6-20 foot containers. Maybe some custom covered area for sandblasting and painting equipment. Or maybe a dedicated homemade paint booth. How cool would that be.

My wife is always asking me why I spend so much money on eBay, baring in mind I spend £10 or £20 buying things that I plan to repair or flip etc, I sat her down in front of one of your older videos to a newer one, she said it is very lucky we don’t live out with loads of land and a large bank balance. So you have kept her quiet now lol 👍 happy new you and your family 🥳
Quite the collection and work orders! As a small property owner starting from dirt I arrived with your container shop build videos, my needs/wants are an old dump like the Loadstar, backhoe like the Payhoe, and after that its stuff like the D4 and the International loader that I hope to find to restore, a Deuce would be high up there or old C60 so I watch those video keenly! But I did watch the floor scrubber! Like you I prefer no computers or wires! And you taught me a light plant is a gen set! Look forward to 2024 and more stuff!
Matt, seeing all the equipment you have rescued over the years is like taking a step back in time. Just thinking of all the hard working machinery that has been given a second chance at life by you is mind boggling. I just have to mention that this has been the weirdest winter we've had so far in many, many years...constant rain, rain, rain. Usually I would have used the snowblower about 6 or 7 times by now, but haven't even used it once yet. Happy New Year my friend, take care😁
I just want to say thank you for the videos, I've been avidly watching your channel since I found you during the days of the church renovation attempt, and I've always found them really engaging. My father was a heavy machinery mechanic, and watching a lot of your content is a lot like returning to my childhood. The days of staring up at loaders with tires bigger than me and wondering how in the heck they got them on there. We lost him in 04 and those days are long gone, but content like yours keeps those memories fresh. Thank you. Keep doing what you do.
It’s humbling to see a young person willing to put in the time to learn how to repair these machines. My projects are way smaller than yours. I’m restoring a 1961 Cub cadet right now and the next one is a Honda trail 70 so way smaller than your projects. Without any doubt, you are my No. 1 favourite channel to follow along with. Keep up the great work, "I love it all, big or small".
David in the UK.
much appreciated!
I was upset not seeing Christine, so glad she is still around and hope to see the Christmas light display.
I'm patient, can't believe I've watched you collect pretty much of this equipment, thanks for the dog and pony show, enjoyed🤗😎🤗😎
Thanks for bringing us up to date.
I know! I do wanna do it I love those old cats
On to a million+ subs in 2024! You deserve it. Quality videos and always super interesting! Happy new year and all the best for 2024 Matt and mrs!
Thank you! You too!
By the way, Keith Rucker is working on a Monarch 612 right now. That might be useful to you as you get yours going.
Yup, '71 or '72 Ford. Looks shiny, too!
I'm guessing 73-77 ford, he showed the engine being started at the end of one of the other videos, happy new year!
Glad to see I'm not the only one to see the ole gal a few times in the background!
Think is, you are actually bringing equipment back to life, which is way, way more than most of us are doing with our projects.....
I found this channel about 4 months ago, it's offical now I've watched everyone of your videos, and hit the thumbs up button every time, you remind me of myself when I was your age, I'm 69 and semi-retired from my own home repair business, I've never been around diesel engines like you have, so I have learned alot from you, I still get giddy just like you when I get an old lawnmower running. God bless and happy new year, I'm looking forward to the next video.
Very much the same situation as you but have been hooked for years and enjoy learning new stuff about things I never had the time to get into. How about that nose to the grindstone, dog on a bone attitude?
Sure do enjoy your videos Matt your so thorough on explaining things. Enjoyed your tour.
I just had another guess at what Matt might do with the 6-20 foot containers. Maybe some custom covered area for sandblasting and painting equipment. Or maybe a dedicated homemade paint booth. How cool would that be.
This video is super interesting, thank you for sharing your interests.
Matt, thanks for the tour, enjoyed it, I can remember seeing about 90% of the videos you made on the machines you had talked about, plus projects not involving machines. Been a great viewing year for this ole boy sir.
Glad you enjoyed it
The amount of fun, memories and all that gone along with your adventures is amazing, thanks a lot for this, I have never asked for it, but I wanted it as much as so many more than me 😄
Happy new year, Matt!
Glad you enjoyed it!
One of these days . . . . . . I admire how many projects you have coming up. We are going to be in for a treat! I was wondering about mobile home/camper thing that was shown so many times as yo drove around. Don't buy anymore Matt - you have loads to keep you going in 2024!
YES !!! I’ve always wanted a detailed “walk around”. Thanks Matt for another year of great content. (Seth from North Carolina)
Glad I can help 😂
Thank you. Keep doing what you do.
likewise, the Church reno is when I subbed, mainly interested in diesel equipment, but it got me hooked either way
It’s humbling to see a young person willing to put in the time to learn how to repair these machines. My projects are way smaller than yours. I’m restoring a 1961 Cub cadet right now and the next one is a Honda trail 70 so way smaller than your projects. Recently found your channel and I am really enjoying watching your videos, keep them coming!!
Thank you, Matt- Perfect end to this year, and a primer for next year's adventures.
This video brought so many good memories! It's amazing how clean he keeps his property. Great video Matt!!
Appreciate the tour, man that’s an impressive to do list! +700k subs and +400k views in just a few hours on this vid as at now…. More impressiveness right there ! HNY to you and Ava and the pups
Great vid
The Monarch is a great find. Sams L&S caught my interest too. Probably the finest lathes ever made
This is an amazing gift Matt!!!!!😍

Thank you for the tour Matt! Loved the video! What a wonderful playground you’ve created! Right….a playground that’s a lot of work,
Can't WAIT to see the video on Heating the Shop!
You will need more than one lifetime to complete your projects, and you will of course add to the junk you already have. Keep it up cause we like watching you work!!
That's the plan!
@@DieselCreek Nobody Cares! Work harder!!
Great video Matt, thank you for showing us all the future projects you have in store. Wishing you and the family a Happy New year as well. Thank you for sharing 😀
Same to you!
You have the full arsenal and then some of the classics. Been watching for a long time. Do videos and things on your time.

Happy new year!
You're going to make one hell of a bunker with all those containers
That workbench is bad-ass. It really came out nice.
Thanks Matt, that's got to be one of the better videos you done. I'm sure I speak for many by saying that it feels like we know you a whole lot better now! Looks like an exciting year coming up. Thanks for sharing!
I enjoyed your program today, Matt, wishing for you and your wife a very happy and a blessed new year
About the gehl 'leafblower'
My dad has made a big leaf blower out of a strawblower (kinda the same thing). And the air inlet is a big hole in the midle of the housing and that works perfectly
This was a great review. I've been watching for over two years (plus I went back and watched ALL the old stuff) and very much enjoy the channel. Happy New Year to you and yours.
Thanks Matt for the update looking forward for the new year Oh by the way Happy New Years to you and your family
I used to drive an old IH Loadstar 1600 with a 345. That truck was a beast. Wish I could find it to restore it. Lucky you have one!
Happy New Year. Looking forward to all your 2024 projects and hopefully 1 million subscribers.
Congratulations on 700,000 it's well deserved 👏
I had an old International just exactly like yours. I used it for about 20 years and then gave it to my partner about 10 years ago and he still uses it.
If we had a lot more fellows like yourself, to populate this world, we would all be alot better off. thank you very much! 🙂
Thanks Matt for the yard tour video
update. Sounds like a lot of stuff
to be worked on
in the coming year.
Place your Cub Cadet mowers and parts and the Farmall parts into one of those green storage boxes. Clean up all the small stuff into those boxes. Would also suggest completing all the small one-to-two-fix projects just to get 'em finished and out of the way. Good winter projects. Really enjoy the videos, Matt. Keep 'em coming! 😀👍👍
Thank you Matt for doing this video, it is fantastic.
A happy new year to you and your family.
2024 is going to be epic, I can feel it!
