I feel like this anime is really underrated for a romance anime. Its insanely cute to see a couple be cute together from the start the anime and slowly progress their relationship, knowing they have each other already so they can be lovey dovey all they want. Sometimes I just want to watch a diabetes romance anime without the bs of drama plus taking forever for the 2 main characters to ask each other out.
I'm really loving this show. The characters are so lovable. I love how the boy is a adorable and sweet but also a walking death flag, and Shikimori is basically his superwoman. They're just so cute together!

Edit: Forgot to add, if the word ends on a kana that ends with 'N', the round is over. The majority Japanese words end on a vowel when put into romaji, and the only letter that is not a vowel that a word can end on is N. This is also why a lot of Japanese people add a vowel at the end of a word when speaking english
I love how in 0:59 - 1:05 Izumi has a black cat along with him for the ride signifying his bad luck AND at 1:08 his mom is also holding the cat showing she has it aswell(as you can see from watching the show). These little nice touches make an opening that much more enjoyable! :)
0:44 this part... this is what I call a piece of art, It has an incredible animation and it shows how the relation of these two is, pink as a sakura bloom, is incredibly insane the feelings that it transmitted to me seeing it for the first time

You know what I would love? A series of shorts or something, with each short dedicated to one of the different AUs shown in the OP here. All of them look so fun and the designs are so cool, I would love to get a chance to see them for more than the quick flashes we get to see here!
I think the reason I like this so much is usually its the guy who is acting like how she is, so having the girl do it is just refreshing as all heck. It's so amazingly done too ^^
So here's a theory based off the op, but I'm guessing Shikimori's and Izumi 1st met in junior high based of her uniform amazing reflexes is due to her probably being a "delinquent" when she was younger and would get into brawls and based off of the scene in 0:50 it's probably her defending others from bullies and the scene with her about to burst into to tears is probably the time Izumi confessed to her and told her some romance anime cliche speech. again this is all a theory based of the op Edit: I finished the anime and I now know that my theory was wrong
Me too me too I was thinking of what their tragic backstories were when I saw the opening. I had the idea that Izumi‘a bad luck was even more awful when he was younger and maybe in some desperation or hope he went to a shrine since there was a flash a one. Maybe Shikimori became some sort of saving grace to Izumi which led to him confessing
I guess he was the first one who ever approached her as a girl and not as street fighter character this why she's crying her heart out, finally someone being nice to her.

Not every romance is actually a shoujo (targeted at girls), actually! Kono bisque doll and Horimiya were both aimed at men (seinen). It's confusing because some of the best romance anime (Kimi ni Todoke, Ouran, Maid-sama) have been shoujoa. But "My blissful Marriage" coming up is a traditional shoujo, and I can't wait.

Maybe she'll do something actually crazy in later episodes, but damn, it's not like she showed off anything superhuman. And even if she did, anime often exaggerates the rules of reality anyway. Granted, the show goes out of its way to make everything she does look amazing. And I'm not complaining about that either. It's one of the reasons why I tune into the show.

hi!! so basically izumi was/still is someone with really bad luck, usually always gets injured and couldnt ever do anything cause of said bad luck. but after shikimori came in his life, he's been able to do things he couldnt with her protecting him. with shikimori, she was the fighter-type who did martial arts when she was little, sticking up against injustices and feeling like she had to be tom-boyish. she comes to terms eventually that she isn't just a brute-like girl and can wear cute things and be feminine. thats basically it,, some parts might be a bit wrong since i read it a bit ago but yeah
