I love that Monica doesn’t have one style she does over and over again. She can see into people’s minds and pick their perfect style. That’s so important. She has empathy and can do the perfect style for everybody.

GREAT VIDEO! iT REMINDS ME WHEN We did a BIG home renovation on our 5100 sq foot Ranchette back in 2000 that mainly involved the kitchen and Family Room along with new Limestone Tile flooring that took about 4 months to accomplish! Our contractor was great and we were able to still live in the house while the work was done, too! It still amazes me how everything comes together!
This is truest the most beautiful video I’ve seen in a while!! I love how involved this family is and not just one the farm, but the whole demo was my favorite part of all!!!!!!!! As a mother I also try to involve my kiddos 👧🏻👦🏻 as much as possible!
The choice of black colour for painting the cabinet was indeed a bold move and so was the choice of tiles. The white on the wall indeed reinstated the rustic look and the open shelves for garage was indeed innovative. So was the breakfast table for the girls. it was awesome. Keep going I am your big fan Monica.
This got to be one of the funnest makeover for Monica. Those girls are adorable and perfect little helper. Monica can take them with her to other makeovers.

The words "huge success" fit that kitchen transformation = rustic & charming! Those four little girls sure have been taught a good work ethic & teamwork = things that will put them in good stead their whole lives long. I particularly liked the cut out of the steer(?)...from the original kitchen!
It would be so easy for you to come in and design how you want things. But you always match the design to the personality of the home owner and this was a great project
Well done, Monica. I like the way you work. So many home redecorators produce a highly generic international hotel look, regardless of the room or the owners. You listen to your clients, and your rooms are creative and individual. The only thing I don't like in this kitchen is the floor tiles - but then I'm a migraineur and that sharp contrast and pattern repetition would bring on headaches. I'm in the process of building a house, and I'll be using lots of your ideas in my kitchen. However, I'll go for thick cork or linoleum flooring - softer underfoot, warmer both to feet and eyes, and gentler on my hypersensitive nervous system. I really love the shelves!
I watched the process as it was happening. This is beautiful! The girls did such a good job helping! Loved Brian's reaction to the kitchen! It is much more functional for them now! Mary, so happy for you and your family in getting this makeover. You deserved it with the hard work you put in!

Liked it all, ESPECIALLY LOVED LOVED the flooring, the bar for the girls, the black lower cabinets. Liked the fact you used 'farm wood' for the upper shelves along with modern touches like the black bookcase on the side. Was sanity-inducing!

I love rustic and country shabby design and I admit I cringed a little at the piping and black paint while y’all were doing it but OMGosh it came out so beautiful!! I can’t see ‘completed’ like you can (and Mary could too) but amazing! Truly!
This is such a neat episode to watch! I have lovely friends who have gifted us with food packs from the farm. It’ll be a treat to see where the amazing meats and spices come from!
Amazing! The only thing is that I would have had the butcher block eating area rap around completely to connect with the lower kitchen counter (assuming they are the same height).
I really LOVE that tile. I just used the same for a bathroom floor in a flip I am selling and it looks so fabulous! I want to use them in my own home now. I purchased black pipe shelving for the kitchen in this same house and didn't end up using it but I like that Lowes has this garage shelving that could be used.Love everything you did in this kitchen.
gorgeous!! I love the floor with the whole look! My brother named all his girls by the mother's name and the boys by his name. The only thing is he used them as middle names and not first names.
This was a really good, affordable makeover. I'm glad it's got ideas that people really can do on a budget and the space was more of an everyday size. I'd like to see a few makeovers done for people/ families who aren't as well off as many of the people who get these are.

The girls are adorable! I like the look of the open shelving - the design, because I'm not a fan of open shelving in general, too much cleaning to do all the time - but in this kitchen, it fits perfectly. The piece' de resistance was the poor rejected twin calf coming to the window to be fed!
This was a great, fun, family makeover. What a beautiful kitchen they have at the end. It really seems to suit everyone in the family. What more could you ask for?
...4 beautiful, strong girls. 4 amazing, well prepared women of the future. Thanks to two awesome parents. We have 4 daughters at home as well and they don't get the farm experience, instead they deal with property management. I have always wanted sons, but I am so thankful to have had girls. I see a combination of both my husband's and I traits...and only well grounded men will be suitable for our strong princesses, when the time comes. As always, I'm learning lots of easy ways to remodel and spruce up a space. Thanks for sharing, it looks beautiful!!!

Monica, all I can say is this. WOW!, it looks great! Love the black and white! Kudos! Come redo my house! I own a small motel and the tiny house I live in I’ve never had the chance to put together as the day I bought the place and moved in we booked out and been running ever since! Not really complaining but a remodeling job would be nice.
Agreed!! The tile is fantastic! The only thing that would have made this better would have been bead board for the back splash! It would hold up better in a working kitchen.

Love your make overs! Recently installed the same tile flooring in a colored version. It totally transformed a boring 50’s bathroom.
