What is it about watching a bike build of a bike I'll never ride in a race I'll never race that is so fascinating? May never own it and may never ride Badlands but, I still loved the video.
Lovely looking bike! I'm very interested to see that you're using a Wolf Tooth Roadlink with a GRX 2x 12 speed setup having noted on their website that they say that the Roadlink is not compatible! Would love to hear how you get on using it.
@ChrisHallRides Evening Chris from Costa blanca Espana 🇪🇸 thanks for the reply, hope things are going well. Out here for holiday and triathlon training 🫡
I still enjoy a build vlog like this, even though i despise where modern bicycles are going...stealth internal cable routing, CF, and the worst of the lot - electronics....aagh! Good luck with Badlands.
@@ChrisHallRides sure i get that and understand Chris. I believe Lael Wilcox uses it for the same reason. I just don't like it sold for the masses. I'm an old Luddite and believe bicycles should remain simple things...
I've got the Redshift stem and Redshift seatpost but now don't need it as it doesn't fit my new Giant Revolt spacers and have a dropper seatpost now..... Looking to sell them if anyone wants them😊
@@ChrisHallRides I'm in the process of planning my own adventure/gravel bike and that dual chain setup is mighty interesting. Was starting to feel I was forced onto 1by and huge dinner plate in the back. Your setup is a very nice hybrid :D
So glad you're doing Badlands 24, best of luck in the race and really looking forward to th edit on the other side.
Thank you!
Yes! Love the red shift stem. Been on my bike for over two years now and absolutely love it.
Really cool

and that rear cassette
It seems to work absolutely fine. No shifting issues at all. A bit of work making sure the shifting is spot on but once it’s done it’s great
@@ChrisHallRides great to hear - many thanks.
I like those rubber drop hood bar ends. Will have to make a purchase
They’re part of the enve bars
Nice setup. Good luck with your event.
Good luck 🍀🤞🏿🍀
Thank you 😁
Just a cracking, superbly specced bike Chris 👏👏👏
Thanks 👍

Those Chris King hubs really are a work of art!!, shame I can't afford them a lot of hub envy going on here!! 🙂
They’re so so good

Electronic shifting is amazing. And as someone who has quite bad nerve damage in one of my hands it allows me to be able to shift and ride

What kind of packing system will you use?
Tailfin

They’re part of the enve handlebars
Make sure to check the chain before you ride. The masterlink wasn’t snapped together all the way at 5:17 👍🏼
Always double check those things after filming the build
The zip ties on the cable’s are they to stop rattling

Very swish 👌

Which cassette is that you’re running ???

@@ChrisHallRides Sounds like a great choice for most "issues"
This time no suspension form?
Suspension stem
I guess that'll do
Badlands race is tough one.
I know I’ve completed it 3 times
Is that a campag cassette? Looks 👌
Nope not a Campag one.
Wouldn’t work with Shimano
Cassette??'
11-39
I love everything about this video, but the way he finished wrapping the bar tape at 6:44 made me wet.

Bike to complicated..too much to go wrong...but then what do I know 😊
There’s very little to go wrong
