Thank You for sharing your story regarding your hysterectomy and & bilateral salpingo oophorectomy. I lost my younger sister to Uterine cancer in 2019 then watch my other younger sister go through ovarian cancer. Now it is my turn to have everything removed for a couple of reasons, one reason for prevention. Most of the videos I have found on this procedure have been discussing how negative it is. I appreciate your perspective of HOPE and positivity. It really helps me to be more hopeful about what I will be having done. I will keep you in my prayers!!! BLESSINGS to you from Gilbert Az!
You’re welcome! I’m still feeling good to this day so we can achieve a new normal after this surgery! And you’ll have peace of mind. Good luck with everything! (And can we get a day under 110 degrees soon?!)
Thank you for making this. 3 years later, I'm going through the same thing tomorrow. I'm BRCA 1 positive too. I'm still in expanders. My BSO tomorrow will be my 3rd surgery this year.
Hi love! I’m praying your doing well! I can’t get over how much your hair has grown! I love it! I can’t wait for my hair to get longer. I am still wearing my breast expanders and will be the exchange surgery soon. I have kept you in my prayers sweet friend since the day I found your channel ❤️
Hi Amanda! I pray you are doing well! You have so much to look forward to! Hair, surgeries behind you! Keep your head up! I love to hear your updates. Sending love! ❤️
I admire your grit and positivity I just started chemo 2weeks ago (oral meds) I have an unusual cancer and the treatment is ok all the best to you and yours!
Thank you for sharing. So happy you are recovering well. This video is also really helpful as I am having this same surgery in December and helps me feel less anxious.
Everyone is surprised by that. The hospitals send you home quickly these days! I think there’s several factors like covid, infection risk and that they want you moving around more than they used to. I was okay with it because when you stay at the hospital the nurses have to constantly do vital checks and it gets annoying when you want to sleep! 🙏🏼
Wow - you did AMAZING!!! Better than anyone else I’ve seen after surgery! My surgery is scheduled at the end of April. I’m having the same surgery that you did. 💜
Sending you lots of healing vibes , and I’m hoping you feel better very soon. I have cancer myself (unfortunately mine is terminal ) and have just started vlogging my journey too I find it so therapeutic. Looking forward to following your healing journey ❤️
Thank you! I’m sorry to hear your cancer is terminal. The only bright side is cherishing how much sweeter every little moment here is. I hope you have peace and I agree about vlogging. It has helped me to share my story with others. ❤️
Yes, most of my surgery’s have gone smoothly thank God! This surgery was all about not overdoing it after. No heavy lifting! And no soaking in tubs or pools. 👍🏼
I had to have EVERYTHING removed as i was discovered to have stage 1a Ovarian cancer. I got lucky it was caught so early!!! I was 43 yrs old when that happened this past July 13th, 2023. I had the vertical incinsion that was 3 layers deep of stitches. I just turned 44 in Nov, 2023. I was told that i would not be on any HRT as i am close enough to the menopause age (48 to 52 yrs old). And, Ovarian cancer can be estrogen driven. I'll list surgical menopause symptoms because i know women might be wondering what to possibly expect. •Hot flashes that subside when i pound a pint of water. I did just finish 6 rounds of Taxol and Carboplatin so perhaps hot flashes are bc of that in addition to menopause. •Blood sugar dips. I make sure to eat a lot of protien to help woth that. •Breasts became larger after 3 months post surgery. •So far, thats it. I cant wait for more time to pass post chemo so that I can truly discover my new self! Good luck everyone who is their own cancer journey ❤
First time visitor/viewer. Much love, prayers, and positive hope to you and your family. Our family (my wife) will be having this surgery this week, and we really appreciate what and how you are sharing.
Thank you for looking and commenting! I’m happy my videos and story could help. I pray your wife’s surgery goes well. The first days after surgery are the hardest, but I feel like I’ve recovered quickly after this procedure. Much love to you all. 🙏🏼❤️
Thank you for sharing! I'm having this surgery tomorrow and this video alleviated a lot of my anxiety. I'm not worried about the surgery as much as the menopause symptoms. How are things now? Hope you're well!
Hi Rachel, I hope your surgery went well. It continues to go well for me. It took 6 months to a year for my body to adjust. I’m able to fully run now with no problems. Dryness got much better over time. I don’t have hot flashes currently. Anxiety seems normal with life stuff. I’m thankful. I hope you heal well!
Hi, Corina. I try not to take a lot of stuff if I don’t need to. I take a multivitamin, turmeric and fish oil in the morning. I take Ashwaghanda at night as needed to help calm me for sleep. I would ask your doctors what they recommend.
They kicked me out! Just kidding, but yes, outpatient surgery. The incisions are very small, but this could be related to COVID protocols or hospital beds needed (I don't know for sure).

I cant believe it. You are going home at the same day of surgery. After this big operation?
They kicked me out! Just kidding, but yes, outpatient surgery. The incisions are very small, but this could be related to COVID protocols or hospital beds needed (I don't know for sure).
It's hard to believe. They want the beds. Those operations hospital stays use to be a whole week.
Hopefully you’re daughter doesn’t have the same mutated gene . It must be such a hard choice to make , I wouldn’t wish it to anyone .
Yes, absolutely. Time will tell. My strength is hers either way. 🙏🏼
