Wow! What an adventure, sometimes you just need to soak up your surroundings and appreciate what you see. Thanks for sharing your top 5, really enjoyed hearing about your trip ❤
It’s a pity you didn’t take the cable car to Pic du Midi de Bigorre, near Tourmalet (altitude 2877 mètres) You would have seen a stunning observatory built in 1873. You can go there for a few hours during the day , or you can book in advance an evening visit (in summer) and the astronomers will explain the night sky to you. And by daylight, you have the most amazing view over several hundred kilometers of the mountain range. Next time maybe?
That looks like a spectacular adventure! And, what a great home base you picked. How many days did you take, going from England to your base campground? Did you find any special things (food/drink/etc) in France that you particularly enjoyed?
Thank you, Erin ☺️ It was a stunning location for an adventure! We crossed the Channel to Calais and stopped off at 3 sites on route to the Pyrenees - Just south of Calais, in the Loire Valley, and then the Dordogne. We personally found this a good pace for us to travel without getting too fatigued. Haha Stephen is a big kid at heart, so his favourite French thing to stock up on is their fruit cordial/squash 😂
@@AdventureWheelsUK I have friends that own a vacation house in the Dordogne region. They post lots of pictures on their long visits and I have to say that is a beautiful and historic region. But, the Pyrenees is definitely more my sensibility!
Hey folks, such nice videos but am quite curious as to how your Tow bar works with your VW WAV Transporter..? Looking for a similar setup but I can't fathom out how the Rear WC Ramps can work if there's a Tow ball stuck there in the way. Any advice or tips? Thanks in advance.
Hi there… Thanks for asking about our WAV and for your nice comment about our videos. I’m so so sorry that we haven’t got around to making a film about our WAV tow car yet. It’s one of our most frequently asked questions and we’ve been meaning to show everyone in a video but just haven’t had a chance yet! Keep an eye on our channel and hopefully we will make this soon for everyone. In a nutshell… we have a rear hydraulic wheelchair lift combined with a portable ramp which we use to get Karla out of the side door when we are hitched up to the caravan. Our towbar is removable/detachable which means that we can remove it when we aren’t towing to allow for the lift to be used. I hope this answer makes sense… Please feel free to email me anytime using our hello@adventurewheels.co.uk email address if you have anymore questions! And sorry once again we haven’t gotten around to making a film about our WAV yet! 😊👍🏕️
Hi there… Thanks for watching our video and I hope it gave you a good first impression of us! Thanks for asking about Karla’s speech - She has recently developed something called Vocal Chord Paralysis. This means she is unable to speak above a whisper and therefore tricky to hear her on film, it’s not a usual thing to develop with her disability, it’s just really unfortunate. I’m sorry I’m so terrible at remembering to mention it at the beginning of our videos, I plan to mention it more in the future! If you’re interested to read about her experience with it, there’s a link to an article she wrote on our website here: www.adventurewheels.co.uk/news/speechless-my-vcp-diagnosis Thanks again for asking! 😊👍
Wow what a fantastic region and stunningly presented. Never thought of going there, but that’s just changed. Thank you very much.
Thank you, Jutta 🥰 We highly recommend heading over that way if you like mountains and waterfalls 😍
