    You were supposed to tighten those straps after you snap them. That’s the point of the “compression” feature. It will flatten it more and compress it.

    Great review. I’m going through a first load on my new one. The part about the left side still zipping despite looking overloaded saved me from immediately returning it. As it is, I’ll likely still return it. The popular, clam shell, design just leaves too little room and is too disjointed for me- a husky guy that needs to pack size 13 workout shoes.

    Thanks for the review, I found it very helpful. I'm in the market for one of these and couldn't decide between the carry-on or carry-on pro. I was unsure if the the laptop compartment intruded on the main compartment space. I assumed it did but just wasn't sure. Even if I didn't store my laptop there (as I carry a backpack as well), the 3 little pouches could be nice. This video also gives me a better representation of the OD Green color, which I'm considering.

    Not sure why they made it larger than the carry-on limit for US - 14x9x22

    Seriously considering switching to this bag for my partner from an Osprey Ozone which has been a good bag over the years but looking for something more stylish. I may even switch from my tom bihn Tristar which I LOVE but as I get older carrying so much weight on my bag gets more and more difficult. A few questions does the front laptop pocket take up room inside the bag and if so how much? Could you choose to put a pair of sandals or flip flops in this section as I often have my laptop in my personal item bag? I am wondering if this will be a big large for carry on so I am also considering the carry on or the carry on pro. I would also get the packing cubes too as I can not live without packing cubes.

    • @minhsao
      @minhsao  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes the laptop pocket does take up room in the inside. The laptop side is a bit smaller than the other side because of it. and Yes sandals and flip flop can fit on the laptop side. I think even with the laptop in the front. personally, since I always have another bag, the from laptop access is not always necessary and the front zipper can not be locked. This is a Plus model which is a larger carry-on. But for most us planes and intercontinental flights you are fine. but for smaller regional jets and European regional flights, it might be tight, or you will need to put the luggage sideways. Thanks again for watching my video and I hope my response helps ... good luck!!

    • @minhsao
      @minhsao  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes for most flights it will fit fine in the US. even on regional jets but you may have to put it on the side. But if you are concerned... do check out this one ... it is smaller and will definitely fit overhead bins. th-cam.com/video/usRce4A0ANA/w-d-xo.html good luck!!

    Curious if anyone has been turned away by United on domestic flights with the Pro Plus as being too big. I mostly fly southwest and united, but its techncially over the specs for united carryon.

    Can you fit a lock through the laptop zippers? It’s ironic that the most valuable feature has no tsa lock

    • @minhsao
      @minhsao  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t have a TSA lock so I am not sure… but in reality I don’t think you can or want to put your laptop through check bags where TSA can use a TSA key. This is because of the Lithium Ion batteries. It’s just my two cents … good luck and thanks for watching my video

    • @awalters1013
      @awalters1013 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any lock is just a deterrent. If someone aside from TSA wants to get into the bag, they can. Besides, like Min said, don’t ever check your bag. Forget TSA, it’s the baggage handlers and belts you have to worry about.

    • @minhsao
      @minhsao  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah my 14 and 13 in both will fit but depending on how much you load up in this side it will be tight. I actually don’t like the plus anymore it takes up too much space with the laptop compartment. Good luck!

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but 23" × 15" × 9.5" = 47.5. Doesn't the airlines limit you to 46 total square inches?

    • @minhsao
      @minhsao  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes... you are right ... but it is not an exact science.... most US carriers let you get through with slightly bigger bags. but finding your overhead storage, now that is the real question. From my experience, you will be fine in US travelling with this bag.. but if you are traveling international... it will depend on your carrier and your fare. Thanks for stopping by and good luck!

    Still fit? It's too large for carry-on on many European airlines and Delta and probably some of the other major US carriers won't accept it either, unless you're lucky.

    • @minhsao
      @minhsao  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've traveled in the US very often, Delta mostly... it will fit most flights including the regional airlines. however, some you may have to put it side ways. ... if you are concerned... my recommendation is to get the smaller carryon. Good luck!
