I've been using the Monos Hybrid Carry-On for about a year now and absolutely love it. It has held up great over trips to 3 Countries and 12 States. Pair it with good packing cubes and I've been able to fit about 10-12 days worth of Clothes and an extra pair of shoes.
I have 2 of these and enjoy the ease of use as I've traveled. I used to carry 1 backpack as a carryon and as my travel has evolved, I find this a wonderful addition. It's simple to get things organized with or without the packing cubes. Comparable to others, the price point was within my budget and travel requirements. Also, easy to take in and out of the overhead luggage bins on airport. Fyi- when I'm standing waiting at any area with smooth floors that are not level (hotel lobby, airport terminal, bathroom), I find my Monos luggage rolling away at times. Other than that I enjoy this very much!
One missed feature they should consider on their next iteration is to add a grab handle on the bottom where the wheels are. Ramp agents will use the wheels to move luggage when a handle isn’t available at that area. This can lead to unnecessary damage to the wheels.
Ive transitioned from a 40L maximum size carry on backpack to now having a 20L daypack with luggage passthrough and pairing it with some rolling luggage. I much prefer this combination and think its actually superior for more urban travelling. Obviously 1 large backpack is still much better for being off the beaten path where the roads arent as good but I really feel like this is a great middle ground for most people.
I’ve had the carry on, carry on plus and medium luggage from Monos for a couple years now. Love them. A few scuffs or marks but I don’t really care. And the carry on plus fits in the overhead bin. Though I’ve only tried it with American Airlines.
We have two carry on plus bags and the check in large. The bags are high quality and the wheels are fantastic. I’ve used just the carry on and a small briefcase for a weeklong business trip, it was tight but doable. I’ve fit the carry on plus in overhead bins on planes as small as the CRJ-900. Overall I like mine but it’s been a bit of an adjustment getting used to a hard shell suitcase.
Most times it is plastic unless the brand calls out the material. I've seen other vegan leathers made from fruit or plants but there's usually some plastic mixed in unfortunately.
I love this but I would love a better zipper pull for the laptop section. They were hard to access because the zipper was recessed into well that made them hard to get to.
To bad the customer service is all but ignoring or nonexistent. I ordered two bags a few weeks ago, and decided they weren’t the ones for us after they were delivered and inspecting them in person. After a week’s worth of daily attempts to reach customer service, by phone and email, and have had zero response. So much for a return policy or customer focus.
How did the experience end up being? I am considering buying them, but would hate to spend time with poor customer service if things weren't smooth sailing.
Do not believe the hype! My Monos delivery was a week late, my bag color was very different from expected (taupe is supposed to be brown, not white), return seems impossible, and there appears to be no way to leave a review on their website. Waste of money.
DO NOT BUY! I purchased two Monos bags and they are awful. I went to Europe with my family and everyone else had AWAY or Briggs and Riley. My luggage looked so cheap next to theirs and customer service was uninterested in my review. Yes, you cannot leave a review on their website.

Get done with wheels on carry ons. Every one has to put in side ways length which takes more space in the bins. Have my legal carry on and it mine was pulled and put in gate check 2 times because of these rolling carry on and in business class. The Karen low life POS. The 3rd time I left the plane and booked on a better airline. Must ban wheeled carry on.

Can you elaborate the packing cubes?

How do you compare this to the July carry on ? What one would you choose
Do you think it will get pretty banged up if you were to check it in? Im looking for a small compact carry on but will be checking it it
Scuffs easily. You can buff out most of it but I still see it. Either get the cover or check out Away.

Is it true that vegan leather is just plastic?

I wont buy anything called vegan leather on principle
@@danwilkinson5239 there are brands that offer good quality products (that mimic how leather looks) and are vegan tho
Yes. Other names for this are “faux leather” and “pleather”.
It's not like it's made from cows on a vegan diet. Cows are vegan anyway.
How is the Monos carry-on tipped on 2 wheels on cobblestones?
would you recommend putting wheel covers on it or do you think it's a little excessive?
I did it for Iceland but on a really unpaved road half the covers fell off. Would do it again for rough terrain.

How does this compare to the Nomatic Carry on Classic?! On Monos website says it’s 39L capacity. And for Nomatic 30L. Thanks in advance.

Are the zippers protected from a pen separating it?
They can get into any zipper luggage
how does this compare to away?
What tan jacket and umbrella is that??
Rab rain jacket according to the video.
He said Monos like he was from Chicago😂

Why are you going from site to site of Monos reviewers bash❤ing the product?

@seanbones6766 you bought a cheaper bag lol
