Nice video and timely for me. I’d love to see how you placed the mounting block and flashing.
Do the wings on the junction box fasten against the back of your mounting block directly or the back of your subsiding/sheathing?
What are the electrical boxes you used called? I can't seem to find them anywhere!
They are old work boxes have them at Home Depot, I’m using the one with wings instead
Once the water gets in, it needs to air dry out. IMO, it's good to caulk outside, but not in the back. The wall in my place is rotted I think because the back wall caulk traps the moisture in.
I would still advise caulking, but leave a gap at the bottom should any moisture get trapped so it can drip out.
what outet block and box did you use? Not the light but outlet?
