Nicely done, Kevin! The drafting table is a nice addition. As far as furled or unfurled sails go: I've change my style just as bit where furling larger sails are concerned. Instead of full sized sails, I reduce the height of the sail by about 20% to 30% . On a fore and aft sail, you would also need to change the angle of the leech so that the head of the sail will still reach the right spot on the gaff. A small adjustment and it's easy to do. It goes a long way in reducing the bulk that can easily accumulate. It make the process much less frustrating. See you around the Tube! T

Awesome finish! I think textile sails get nowhere near to silkspan regardless the scale. It is so sad to observe ship models with cloths sails they all look like rigid enormously rough and thick especially when stitches applied on them. I dont know how long people use paper for model sails but it comes to me as revelation.

Oh my gawd Kevin! Besides a drafting table, what other antique tools have you got stashed away?
You’re right, it is the perfect tool for working up a set of sails. They look awesome!

A gift from an architect friend who actually drafted the plans for the Steam ship Naparima on it.
