I've just found your channel and am enjoying it tremendously. thank you for showing us your process in such detail. I've built plank on bulkhead models, and would love to try a fully framed model. Could you recommend an effective way of researching plans with sufficient detail?
@@kevinkenny5122 Sorry it took me awhile to reply. I've built probably 5-6 plank on bulkhead kits. little scratch built experience, but I want to learn.
Before my scratch built i built the Emma Berry which is a plank on frame before the Swan practium. But if you feel the Swan is a fantastic project that will build your skill.
@@kevinkenny5122 Thank you. I’ve bought the first book of the Swan practicum, and would indeed like to start with something simple. The Emma C Berry seems ideal, I see the plans are available from Model Shipways. I’ve not seen many plans with that level of detail (e.g. templates for each frame). Do you have any thoughts on how best to research such plans for other ships?
