I bought one two weeks ago..It really is a great guitar, I am super impressed. The amount of tones you can get out of this thing is incredible, the neck feels good, keeps tune well (even when using bar)

This is great! Thank you for this. I'm considering this model vs. the TW-55 and this is helping me a lot - especially during Covid-19 - where it's a little bit more challenging to spend time in a shop to try things out a bit.
Great review! It's crazy that you did a review on a Tagima, I've been eyeing up a tele style by them for awhile and just waiting to pull the trigger. I think this has make the decision for me in terms of their quality.

Tenho uma dessa, exatamente igual e considero o custo-benefício muito bom, tanto pela beleza e qualidade de construção como da captação p-90 que me agradam demais o som. Não esqueçam de blindar a guitarra quando comprarem, fundamental, principalmente para guitarras de bobina única na captação como esta, pois o chiado é bastante chato.
verdade... mas mesmo para uma single coil esses p90 tem pouco chiado. tenho uma strato com humbucker e faz quase nada a menos de ruido que essa tagima (ambas sem blindagem).
Estou com muita de vontade de pegar uma dessa e colocar 2 humbuckers pra ficar no estilo da Jaguar do Kurt Cobain. Será que fica legal?@@oquati

This model and Tagima Blues 3000 (an ES-335 copy wich cames with a hard case) are the best relation between cost and benefit from Tagima.

All TW set are actually made in Indonesia, the rest are made in Brazil like the Brazil series and classsic series. The TW are still great guitar line, a little mod to it and you got a good working horse axe

I recently bought one in Brazil. I sent it for tuning and when the tuthier disassembled the guitar, surprise! The torso (where the screws fix the arm to the body) was cracked. I am waiting for the company's solution.
Excellent guitar, It is unfair to compare it with guitars in its price range, if it is to compete it is on the level of guitars worth $$$$ much more

The varitone should use a strato style switch. Easy and quick to use.
I'm considering getting it because it does NOT have a start style switch.

very specific and informative review! how long did it take your tw 61 to have that problem with the varitone? i want this model so bad but if that problem can't be fixed...
It can be fixed if you install a lock washer of some kind to the pot.
Awesome demo!!! Thinking about getting one of these!! We’re you able to do the drop in replacement of the trem? Does it have fender standard spacing for the two-point trem installation so that you can drop in a fender American standard trem?
I am working on a follow up video as we speak. I installed a Wilkinson tremolo. Idk exactly if the string spacing is the same or not. But it did drop right in

Hey Derek! Love your videos and am trying to get a pod go and I’ve seen those video’s and this week getting a electric guitar. I was wondering if you had time to talk about guitars and pickups cause the guitar am getting I may change the pickups and trying to figure out what to get.
What would you say is the neck radius?
I'd say a standard pretty radius. I've read somewhere that its 12 but it feels closer to a 9.5 or 10 to me

Very true. Just like many, if not most guitar companies, the base level Tagima guitars are made somewhere in in Asia. Tagima is a Brazilian company, and just like any other guitar company, the high end products are made in the country the company is based out of. My fellow guitar techs and I here in the Tagima USA facility do our best to make sure no guitar leaves our warehouse without making sure the guitars feel and play like an instrument we would want in our own homes, no matter the country of origin. :)
absolutely right .. the Brazilian ones are around 8K. interestingly, instead of saying Made in China, they say
"Made in PRC" (People's Republic of China) don't know if there's a difference

I honestly don’t think that’s a lot of a problem anymore I’ve got a Chinese guitar that’s pretty great.

I'm pretty sure these are made in China. The Brazilian ones are much more expensive.

I recommend the older version if u can find one used it's the best guitar for the price 👍
