The title should be called:
“Man flexes guitar skills on viewers who clicked on the vid expecting knowledge but left insecure of them selves”
That's literally every guitar video.
You guys are so right
I get what you are saying but the idea is a beginner should not be intimidated but decide which kind of guitarist they want to ultimately be by imagining being this professional playing each of these guitars that are clearly very different
Tahiti, anyone?
The skills come from the pedals
This guy plays exactly how I would imagine myself playing if I actually mastered the guitar

gotta keep practicing bro, you may end up like him one day
Bro, exact same thought process was just had over here! 🤣
Not for me. He’s just noodling.
omg yes 💀
As an acoustic player who's just now considering trying an electric, this was the most informative 12 minutes I've spent learning about some options, so thanks!
I'm no expert but I would say watch more videos. He completely skipped one type of guitar - a solid body guitar with humbuckers. Which is what I have because it suits the best for playing the music I like. None of the guitars he presented are that good for what I want from my guitar.
@Hugh Jass Can't do dive bombs nor pullups. :P
@@molekyyli That would be a Les Paul or an SG, among others.
@@chicklets4ever51 I don't have either of those (I have HH & HSH both S-style) but you're correct, these too. :)
@@Yogitee18 Pull-off is a technique where you play the note by only your fretting hand, without picking the string with your picking hand.
Pull up refers to pulling up a whammy on a guitar equipped with a tremolo type bridge that is set up to float.

Honestly I don't like teles, don't get me me wrong they sound lovely but they they just feel a bit chunky
Which one can I afford?
NONE
@@borderlinecontent8661 I love my Mexican Strat.
"Yes."😄
People who don’t play guitar need to see this to understand why we need so many guitars
u only need a tele
Indeed! I have 32 of them!
The guitar that's right for you is the guitar that makes you want to pick up and play. There are no boxes with certain guitars only being used for certain genres. If you love metal but like the feel of a jazzy guitar the most, then get that one. If you want to play blues but a metal V shape guitar is most comfortable for you then get that. Realistically you can play any genre on any instrument. The right guitar is the one that feels the best for you, not the one you think should get for a certain genre
There's really no right or wrong way to decide which guitar is best for you!
Okay but what kind of guitar can I use to explain to my girl that we were on a break?

How can I get my 3rd and 4th finger to reach the strings more easily as im finding it difficult.
That’s great! And for $60 sounds like you got a fantastic deal. Have fun! I learned a new term today that I think is a great description of my talent level even though I’ve been playing for some 50 years-advanced beginner.

theres alot of joke comments here but this guy is a master. great combination of technique and musicality. nice one jamey.
tbh, lots of the same licks and random chords stacked up together, I mean, he's not bad or anything but he's just fooling around.
Playing-wise he’s good... instrument selection-wise for this video and some of the comments regarding the technical nature of the instruments are just bad.
On the first point, if you’re going to do a “main types of electric guitars” video I’m sorry but you can’t pick a 335 over a Les Paul. 335s are great and arguably more flexible than a Les Paul and many people prefer them but they’re simply far more niche in terms of quantities sold than a Les Paul and that’s what this video is supposed to be about. A 4-way video with Tele, Strat, Les Paul and 335 would have been defensible... a 3-way HAS to be Tele, Strat and Les Paul... a 3-way with what this video is meant to be about cannot be defended without one of the guitars being a Les Paul. It’s as simple as that.
On the technical/constructional comments my favourite screw-up comment was that the hollow sections of the 335 are there to contribute to sustain, which is totally the opposite of the reality. Solid body guitars were literally invented to enhance sustain, especially at volume... and before anyone says anything, feedback, which the hollow sections to contribute to creating, is NOT the same as sustain. He did also demonstrated the Clapton “woman tone” on the bridge pickup when it’s widely acknowledged that it’s a neck humbucker pickup sound. 🤦🏼♂️
Yes, no question about ability, but I clicked on to see what guitar is good for me. I thought I was going to get information.
Apperantly I can do what ever I want on whatever I want and they're all in my price range.
Thanks for the click bait

Les Pauls sound classy, Tele’s are fun and twangy, PRS’s are unique and also classy. But a Strat, man. It just feels right in my hands.
In a general sense, I see it as light and twangy (Tele) midrange (Strat) deeper and heavier (Les Paul), but if you have the right effects and amp you can make any of them sound like each other or better.

Generally speaking, the Tele is the best if you play many types of music and only have one guitar. I like the Strat for Blues, and a Les Paul or SG for hard rock . The semi hollow body would round out my dream collection for R+B /Jazz. With Harley Benton, AIO, Wolf guitars and others these days, you can afford a second or third axe. I bought a HB TE-52na for $160 and it plays great and stays in tune! With minor upgrades, these guitars are actually ok to gig with. I don’t think you necessarily need a Gibson or Fender anymore.
You could do the Nashville Mod Tele which essentially adds an extra middle pickup for clucky Strat sounds, and usually blending pot wiring for more diversity. Session players like these since they cover so much in one guitar.
If somebody were ordering a Warmoth kit, the contoured Tele body would be a smart upgrade. But you can get used to the blockiness of the traditional Leo design. It's beautifully ugly.
j freed good call, j
I have a Les Paul and I can’t stop holding it, it feels so nice. I have a rock band so it’s great
For buyers/players outside the USA, US brands like Fender and Gibson are ridiculously overpriced due price gouging and the USD exchange rate, and their Squier and Epiphone segments still out price but more importantly, outclassed by contemporary brands from Asia like Ibanez, Yamaha, Cort and though now to a less significant degree, Harley Benton before impost of the 'COVID levy' on international shipping COVID levy to ROW effectively killed the value incentive of its direct etail sales model vs buying other Asian origin brands locally. My 'Tele' is a Cort Manson Stage Series Classic TC, my 'Strat' is a Yamaha Pacifica 612VIIFM, my 'Les Paul' is a Harley Benton SC Custom, and my 'ES-335' is an Ibanez AS93FM. Who needs Gibson, Fender, Squier or Epiphone in 2022?!!!

Adding an LP to this video would’ve made it PERFECT
My go-to is the 335-style semi-hollowbody, mainly because I can coax such an enormous variety of tones out of it. Of course, it also depends on what you're trying to achieve, and if it's single coil sound you're after, I think most of us would reach for a Strat, However, and this is key, for reasons that I still haven't been able to figure out yet, there are certain single coil tones that are only achievable with a Telecaster. Mind you, I've bend trying to get these infernal instruments to submit to my will for nearly fifty-five years, and though I have had some rather limited success from time to time, I stand by the above assertions, with one important caveat (cue the hate mail) : tone begins at the hands, tone comes from the hands, tone originates AT THE HANDS. I won't be dragged into another pointless discussion about this, but after all these years and all the countless rigs, I remain convinced that it's our fingers that are the most important factor in determining tone : how we express ourselves comes primarily from how we touch the instrument. All right, now, you kids go fight it out amongst yourselves .... 😎
After 3 years nobody gave enough shit to fight about it thats nice
So educational bro thank you 🤘🏾🎸
I'm always going to be partial to the fender mustang. The darker sounding single coils have a magic tone for me.
