  • Join my grandson and me in a shooting and safety session using his little Remington 510 Targetmaster. In this video I will go over shooting basics and safety with my youngster just to re-hash all aspects of safe and secure shooting.

My grandfather gave me a 510 targetmaster as my first gun, these videos are great to see since he taught me how to shoot as well. Still have this gun and is still a tack driver. Good video.

Great video on how to teach the younger generation on how to keep the squirrel pot full! Thats how I was raised with firearms, and I have enjoyed a lifetime of hunting and comradery in the woods. I look forward to video of this year's squirrel hunting with your Grandson. Good luck and have a great day.

Plenty of squirrels in the places I go hunting, so It's just a matter of better weather.

Tom I have been a subscriber of yours for some time and I thoroughly enjoy all of your videos. It is great to see you teaching your grandson Alex how to shoot a .22. That is what my Dad and Grandpa taught me to shoot with along time ago when I first went hunting with them. That was 60 years ago I am now 72 years old and still vividly remember the first time they took me hunting for squirrel. Thank you for all of the great videos and God bless you and all of your family good hunting my friend and I look forward to more of your videos

Yes the older Rifles are better than the new plastic and aluminum Rifles. Nice to see you teaching your Grandson to shoot.

I understand about the .22lr round especially sub sonics are pretty darn quite. Although about 3 months ago I was shooting a new bolt action .22 I picked up, a Rossi RB22 and I've shot thousands of rounds of .22lr over the years with no ear protection, really not needed they so quite. This particular day I ran off without my ear plugs, so I took couple pieces of paper towel and made myself some make shift ear plugs. What I'm getting at and have never had this happen before is one of the .22lr rounds exploded in the chamber and blew crap on right side of my face and even with my make shift paper towel ear plugs my right ear was ringing big time for awhile. My first thought was ole crap did I just have a squib lodged when that round went off. That little encounter made me make sure I have those ear plugs from now on when shooting even though it's just a .22lr. I had no squib lodged, it was just a freak bad round that's never happened to me before.

I just inherited my dad's at 58 years old. Could you show how you mount a scope on it? I can't hit anything without a scope. Can't see the targets.
