I just commented about that! The interviewer said something about the most terrified blah blah and used a short clip which cut off right after Tyson said it - but in the full clip he immediately smiled afterwards, was very kind and polite. Even without seeing the full context I knew that he was just in too much pain to continue and he wasn't threatening the journalist! It made me angry, but let's face it.. the journalist is a weasel and probably was terrified because he lacks the empathy to understand what was happening. At the very least the journalist should have said he just misunderstood, but he didn't. Instead he ran around saying it was terrifying, like a weasel!

There's an interview where some idiot starts to push him about the death of his daughter and Mike is literally in total anguish when he suddenly says something like, "You have to leave now. You understand that, right?" That's when you realize the interviewer is literally only one wrong move or spoken word away from death.
I just commented about that! The interviewer said something about the most terrified blah blah and used a short clip which cut off right after Tyson said it - but in the full clip he immediately smiled afterwards, was very kind and polite. Even without seeing the full context I knew that he was just in too much pain to continue and he wasn't threatening the journalist! It made me angry, but let's face it.. the journalist is a weasel and probably was terrified because he lacks the empathy to understand what was happening. But I'm not cutting him any slack because Tyson wasn't aggressive, smiled and spoke very kindly afterwards and was very polite. He did everything he could to make sure the journalist felt at ease. At the very least the journalist should have said he just misunderstood, but he didn't. Instead he ran around saying it was terrifying, like a weasel!
The interview was for "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" and conducted by Bernie Goldberg. Goldberg prodded Mike a lot during the interview, asking what Cus D'Amato meant to him, to which Mike started to tear up, and said he was my father figure whom I loved deeply. Then he asked the question about Mike's daughter. Mike never lost his cool, and politely said" you are going to have to go, you understand, right?" Mike even patted Goldberg on the hand as he got up and walked off. He was never threatening towards Goldberg at all.
