It really is an addiction. I'm fortunate enough to be in the path of the occasional big ass walnut tree. I've got the better part of 6 or 7 trees over the past 3 yrs. Every piece is so unique and it never gets old. It keeps my feel good juices in my brain a flowin'
A beautiful piece of walnut. lt would be great to see a picture of what it looks like when the wood worker has completed his end product. Thanks for another great video.
If I could give 2 thumbs up I would. The look of that crotch wood and the music with the ending of you video......well done. It's been a joy to watch over the last number of years. Thank you.
I get a kick out of you when you are driving something and you take a look into the camera and give a quick smile! That is something I would do - one of my old bosses actually said my smile was eerie and always made him wonder what I was thinking - I am shy and don't talk a lot.
I really enjoy the different camera angles you do. Makes the videos extra interesting. I realize it makes a lot of extra work for you, but it's very much appreciated. From the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennesse.
Beautiful wood, beautiful country, beautiful music and how Thankful we are to live in the country! As John Denver sang, “Thank God I’m/We’re Country Boys! And Thank You Nathan! Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Im sure a lot of your subscribers love all the other updates you do. I personally always just prefer to watch these milling videos... You do it better than anyone on here. This is the content I appreciate and thank you for.
HI N 😊😊 I never get tired of red cedar I don't see much of it anymore and it smells great and has pretty wood grain years ago U only seen it in fence rows or fence poles most of the time ⌚😮 if U do find red cedar logs 4 saw logs consider yourself very lucky 🍀 😊 U can't go 2 lowes and get them or no lumber yard either 😮😮 and there's not much yellow pine left 👈 😮 around here no more either and the same 4 black walnut trees 😮😮 U see 1 in a yard 4 a yard tree that's about it I still remember the big yard trees at moms old home 🏡 😊 place when I was growing up 3 and 4 people U still couldn't get your arms around them 1 was a great swing tree 🎄 😊 yes I still remember that 2 just like it was yesterday anything U are looking 4 like that it's very seldom U find it 4 saw logs anymore alot of those old trees and timber was cut many years ago 1940s 1950s and be 4 then they weren't replanted and what few there is 2 day that's all U see now a very few here and there 😮😮 OMG 4 6 2O24
Beautiful walnut! I can also see a difference in your videos! I may not say much on your videos but I watch and pay attention!🤣 God bless you, Brother!🙏
Thanks for sharing with us Nathan, that was an awesome milling, looked like an original. Hope you weren't affected by the storms that came through your area. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
I love that species of red cedar. I didn't get to cut any up here in British Columbia because it doesn't grow here. our red cedar is a pretty bland wood except for the old growth.
must be some fine uses for those sides you take off the cedars maybe siding for a car port to provide some protection from weather or to build sides for garden beds to keep soil inside? cant imagine wasting them in the burn piles. didnt you need to cut those cedar for those beds? can certainly see those slabs in a custom house for bars or coffee tables
We just cut up the prettiest black walnut for a customer and I didn’t record, we thought it was going to be a nasty tree because it was kinda rotting however it fooled us all. Great work, I need to change cutting fluids also
Well, it might have been short on length Nathan but it certainly was not short on good looks, as you predicted. Your customer would have to be happy with the slabs from this log. Hope the weather did not get TOO bad. Cheers, Don from South Australia.
hey Nathan, Our JD dealer carries it. I ordered 5=gallon jugs I think from amazon. Of course, they may be more expensive than the product plus shipping. Best regards, and see you soon, Doc Henderson.
Might be a good idea to invest in a good metal detector for metal detection on the log.. I've always like black walnut. I have several Trapdoor carbines and rifles and they all have black walnut for the stocks. Amazing wood.
Usually I enjoy watching cedar (yes, cedar! 😉) being sawn because I love its color and grain. This time, I was impatient to see the walnut crotch and it did not disappoint! Beautiful!! I liked the end too, different from the usual and very peaceful. 👌💕😊
Thank you for the interest you provide. You spoke of the end-user, and perhaps coffee tables. Would you please consider asking a future customer for photos of such furniture, it would add depth for your followers and possibly a marketing opportunity for your end customer. As vbprogram below commented.
I've never noticed that small circular saw(de-barker?) that goes in front. Interesting. The shape and color of the crotch on that second plank makes it almost look 3 dimensional. Very nice.
Loved the Walnut and the cedar was fantastic too. But favorite part for me….closing with the old barn. Man I love that. Please don’t paint it anytime soon.
What is the purpose of the black and white finger things that seem to just flop around..... im talking about those piano like keys closesst to the contoller..
Hey Nathen could you please put a link for the that lubricant you add in the blade lubricant. Hopefully We will be getting our LT35 this year and since we will be sawing a lot of yellow pine it will be helpful. Thanks and keep the videos coming
Do you change your mind on a log after you make the first cut? I thought you said the small logs you were going to cut into 4x4s. You then cut them in what looked like 2x6s. I'm old, so maybe I heard wrong. I do love your channel though.
Would you be interested in letting me deliver you a case or two when I come to Paul Bunyan? I am from southern Missouri and pass through the cotton growing Missouri Bootheel where I grew up. No shipping charge>.
Buy this and thank me later: amzn.to/42jMdHD
I did.
I'm not sure why there isn't a comment bar are you only allowing members to comment ?
Type of wood ilike! Under 8ft,and knurled
Very nice. Customer should be pleased. Ending of video reminded me of a western riding off on the sunset or maybe good night John Boy. 🤠🇺🇸
Yes sir
Right on!
After a crummy day helping a friend (hoarder) and feeling bad about life, here it is> Black Walnut. Life is much better now. Thank you. ...really.

Ive watched you saw lumber for a while. Its great seeing the beautiful grain, especially in walnut. Thanks!

you're amazing Nathan! The beauty really is "Out of The Woods"!
The colour of that cedar is amazing, love it. 😎😎
this time of year a gallon of water and a gallon of blue juice would suffice. would have to get minnesota cold to freeze that mixture
Those two Walnut slabs were absolutely beautiful !! Almost 3D effect on the grain !! You did good work on that customer's log, my friend !!
Absolutely stunning crotch Nathan. Thanks for taking us onwards on your journey and revealing the beauty nature creates. Love it! Hi from NZ!
So when are we going to see the siding put on the chicken house??!!
That was some pretty Jundar. Juniper and Cedar combine to form the wordl Jundar so everyone can be happy with what to call itl
I've said it before... I enjoy the early posts. Thanks.
The bumble bee in the shot was a nice touch. Way to go.
That walnut reminds me of a Van Gogh painting, ‘ swirling clouds in violet haze’ thank you!

Beautiful video
Thank you
Black walnut never disappoints. Beautiful wood.
Hey Nathan, I've missed the water bucket. You used to get it out all the time. That shorty made some really beautiful slabs.
Always interesting and enjoyable visit at your sawmill. Thank you for sharing. 😃
Glad you enjoyed it
you are going to have to put that Joe Main sawblade banner up on your wall beside your logrite banner
Nathan, the black walnut is beautiful. Especially beautiful is the slab on the left where the design looks 3-D. Nice work.
Your camera work as always adds value to the show not just the timber sawing
I appreciate you sharing your knowledge
Cheers
Thanks 👍
Good pickin' on the 12 bar blues. Beautiful eastern red cedar/virginia juniper. Fantastic figure in the walnut. Walnut is the best-looking wood.
Looks like a long walk back from the red barn.
Who would ever get tired of looking at beautiful cedar lumber?
I love that species of red cedar. I didn't get to cut any up here in British Columbia because it doesn't grow here. our red cedar is a pretty bland wood except for the old growth.
Hard to think that snow may be coming soon. Beautiful walnut figures.
That is some gorgeous wood right there!
It sure is!
For a hillbilly your taste in music is exquisite!
Ty
Excellent video Nathan. I love that 5835r. That will probably be my next tractor when I upsize from my TYM T474 HST.
Good choice!
Nathan, try walnut sawdust on your fence rows for weed control
That cedar does have some pretty red coloring. Walnut is almost always pretty.
The first slab looked like Christ on the Cross. WOW
I saw the exact same thing! Beautiful!
I would like to buy that slab!
You’re right, that crotch figure slab would make a great coffee table. There’s so much going on, that it almost looks like a painting.

Nice sawing 👍 Where's Mr. Kato been? Haven't seen him in a while.
Do you ever have to change or sharpen the teeth on the bark cutter that runs in front of the blade?
Mother nature's beauty is revealed.

Really nice slabs! I been missing that walnut!!
where do you get your blades?
You need a big shed or a lean too for your tractors and attachments…..
It's on his list
hey Nathan, Our JD dealer carries it. I ordered 5=gallon jugs I think from amazon. Of course, they may be more expensive than the product plus shipping. Best regards, and see you soon, Doc Henderson.

It's a good feeling to work on something you're passionate about!

You can almost smell that cedar through the video. Nice boards.
Thank you for the interest you provide.

do you keep the cedar sawdust, i bet there is a market for it if you don't!
I noticed that on your right hip you’ve a leather holster for a multi tool and a flashlight. If I may ask who makes it and where can it bought?
amzn.to/43LAtjJ
@@OutoftheWoods0623 thank you for time.
Curious if washer fluid will affect finishing the walnut.
Beautiful walnut right there.
I agree!
Those fields greened up so nice. Beautiful ride out after opening up that walnut. Really enjoyed that Nathan.
Thanks 👍
THAT HEART WOOD CEDAR SHOULD LAST ALONG TIME IN YOUR GARDEN BEDS, IT'S BEAUTIFUL.
It does!
That figured walnut is beautiful. A quick google on it has a finished piece at over $700 in value. I'd go slow too. LOL Love your channel, Nathan.
Nice walnut ole chap!
How good are those ear plugs that you wear when on the tractor and what is the name brand.
Love the walnut figure!! 🎉 🎉 🎉
Hey Nathen could you please put a link for the that lubricant you add in the blade lubricant. Hopefully We will be getting our LT35 this year and since we will be sawing a lot of yellow pine it will be helpful. Thanks and keep the videos coming
I’ll try to find one for ya
Turbo 7 - 7/39
Or
Turbo 7/47 ?
What is better, not like a wave ?,
Do you change your mind on a log after you make the first cut? I thought you said the small logs you were going to cut into 4x4s. You then cut them in what looked like 2x6s. I'm old, so maybe I heard wrong. I do love your channel though.
Can you control the flow rate on the blade lubricant?
Yes
I was going to send you a picture of a walnut tree I have with a really nice Y about 12 feet up. Butt cut would be 30 inches
I am surprised that you are not required to have ROPS on your new tractors in the USA. They are mandatory on new tractors in Australia.
17:21 shouldn’t that be “Offee tables”? 😆
GOD'S majesty in wood!
Has anyone wondered if joe main or however you spell it is some kind of relative
He is not
Thanks for putting my mind at ease
I wish you had smell-o-vision when you are cutting cedar logs!
Would you be interested in letting me deliver you a case or two when I come to Paul Bunyan? I am from southern Missouri and pass through the cotton growing Missouri Bootheel where I grew up. No shipping charge>.
You're getting better about not pouring water on your boots😃
Nathan, what is that darker patch all up the middle of the walnut crotch?
Nice wood 👍
You are my favorite you tuber !! 😎👍
Wow, thanks!
My goodness, indeed.
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
