the butchered the books beyond recognition for foundation. i knew it was always going to be a hard book to turn into a show, esp these days but that thing is horrific c/t the books. i think maybe it was fine as a stand alone if it had a different name.
My biggest problem with Silo is perhaps using the wrong cast. I read the books and while it was interesting to see it finally come to tv there was something that felt entirely off about it.
@@bradevans7546 Foundation Severance Silo For All Mankind ^ These shows are really good if you love Sci-fi. “See” with Jason Mamoa was also surprisingly good. “Invasion” there is a reason this show only have 6.2 on IMDB. What about Dr. Brain? Will it get another season, or The last days of Ptolemy Grey, two outstanding shows? It seems like Apple tv doesn't have the financial backing to continuously produce these stellar shows.😡
Severance, For All Mankind, and Foundation are all S-Tier television! Worth the Apple + sub just for these three. Silo and Constellation are also both really great. Not quite at the level of the previous mentioned, but solid A-Tier shows.

Boy oh boy, there are some great ones in this list. A few I haven’t seen yet so I’m ready for a weekend of viewing, yes, my viewing weekend lasts longer than 11 minutes.
Apple does have the best sci fi shows but the list here is in reverse order of the best shows.

Even though I am a Sci-Fi aficionado I confess that with the exception of the first season of “Invasion” and “Shining Girls”, I tried but was unable to watch “See”, “Silo”, “For all Mankind” (btw, did I really hear the word “diversity”? )” and “Severance”. But I'm going to try watching “Foundation” again and I'm going to give “Monarch” a chance. And, thank you, I plan to watch “Ptolemy Grey” and “Doctor Brain”, who were off my radar ;)
Monach is such dumb big monster storytelling. I mean if you like marvel heroes, and giant monsters fighting it could work for you. I'm more old school Sci-Fi and Severance is best on this list
0:30 Foundation 1:40 See 2:40 Monarch 3:44 Silo 4:42 Invasion 5:52 Doctor Brain 6:47 For all Mankind 8:55 Shining Girls 9:45 Severance There you go disrespectful child, now you aren’t “forced” to do anything because once again someone did the “hard” work for you
The voice has to be generated. Too many mispronounced words and the same voice can be heard on other TH-cam videos. Just too damm many of these kids of videos on YT.
First we had autotune ruining music, now we have AI voiceovers and all their uncanny valley inflections. Humans won't become extinct, they'll just forget what human is.
Baba Voss is *not* one of the few remaining sighted people. He is a skilled bamf warrior who has no sight. The twins with sight were raised by him but are not "his"; they are the children of Jerlamarel. - Who wrote the summary?
I agree with your picks but not the order of them. Foundation should not be number 10. I would put Invasion at 10 because it is two episodes stretch into eight; too slow for me and almost boring. Foundation should be in the top five with Silo. See was also good. But I must include, I have not seen all your picks (1) and some did not pick my interest to continue watching ( fell asleep). I will give them another try. Samuel Jackson series did not watch; but, I will now. Thank you
@@sylekin I know, but I reckoned the voiceover was talking about sky fi, per my explanation. As in, I didn't think it was a mispronunciation until you mentioned it, as it fit with my interpretation of it
In your section about "For All Mankind" you should not have mentioned that the Soviets got to the moon first -huge spoiler!! Seeing it happen in about the first five minutes of episode 1 really got my hooked on the series.
THE FOUNDATION SHOULD BE NUMBER ONE BECAUSE AFTER END EPS 2 SEASON 1, IT'S A ROCKET RIDE!! THE DEVELOPMENT OF ONE CHARACTER WHICH IS ONLY HINTED AT IN SEASON 1, IS TOTALLY BRILLIANT & APPLIES TO TODAY'S NEWS. THE FOUNDATION IS WAY MORE COMPLEX THAN ASIMOV'S BOOKS SO EXPECT TO BE SURPRISED IF YOU'VE READ THE SERIES.
Severance.. beyond underrated It’s everything! Just crazy because nobody has heard of this and it’s in my top 3 for sure. That season 1 ending blew me away. The foundation is great!!! I’ll check out dr Brain Silo is amazing!! Season one blew me away
Foundation turned out to be bad in my opinion, dropped it on the first season. Dark Matter is my favorite, Silo is really good as well, Severance is also really good, slow but good. See started really good and promising but gradually went to crap right before my eyes.
For All Mankind is INCREDIBLY well written and INCREDIBLY boring...... Good but not anywhere even close to the best sc-fi show on TV. It's REALLY REALLY BORING if you are looking for a sci-fi show to watch. 95% talking and 5% actual sci-fi. Not what I was expecting at all. Halfway through season one I started skimming episodes through season 2 and stopped watching the show. It's like the West Wing. Really good if you are in the mood for HEAVY human drama. Overall it's not living up to "the best scifi show on TV" at all.
Silo and Foundation are my favorites. Can't wait for more Silo.
Loved both of them. Waiting for Slio season 2

Silo is my top choice! Plus, I would add The man who fell on Earth (2021-2022) to the list!
I loved that show! Underrated AF.
If only they gave it a season 2.
So silo why do they clean the lense? It makes no sense. The show is so dumb.
Foundation is a masterpiece show imo
the masterpiece is the book. the show is a shadow
@@charliemihai5471 I read it but I liked how they changed and improved it. Movies don't have to always follow the book. It's like food recipes.
