    I had the Nanook. It took about five days to kill it. Broke my heart. It seems a bit Goldilocks to me. "Too much water!" "I need water!" "Too sunny!" "Too dark!" "Too hot!!" "Too cold!"

    I use mine to create sun loving summer ground cover by sticking pieces under roses, gardenias, whatever. Here in Coastal S.C. it's not perennial so I bring some in the house to overwinter for next year. It's a fast creeper and succulant.

      I use it in zone 10: South Florida as a perennial ground cover;
      beautiful! I have used in in hanging pots on tree branches too!

    Tradescantia is one of my favorites. I had a starter-sized plant that grew very leggy, so I nipped the ends off, let them root in water, and repotted them. As my growing space is limited, the plant had to go back into its former spot. I decided to water sparingly, and now it growing more slowly and is staying compact. I love the color in the sun.

    Great tips on the growing medium mix. I have one propped up with bamboo sticks, did not even think this was a hanging type. Will need to do some altering 😂

    The name "wandering Jew" can be offensive. It would be preferable to use "inch plant" or just Tradescantia.

      I've been in groups that forbid it to you and I've been on groups don't care. In order to avoid any kind of conflict I have just taken to calling them all "wanderers."

      People can be offended by their own shadow these days. I have been on some FB groups on wildflowers and mushrooms that ban certain terms, but so long as there is no malice intent it shouldn't be offensive

      @@goldenserenity2385 it’s almost like the intent behind the word matters more then the word itself. People look for any reason to cry now a days
