It's extraordinary how a woman who was always told she was worthless and insignificant as a child soon became a confident young artist on the stage & TV. Some people would have curled up in a ball and not faced the world had they had the kind of childhood Eartha endured but she seemed to do the opposite - I guess she wanted to prove she was worth a lot more and I guess she was craving love & attention - naturally. Hence why I ADORE her.
EXCELLENT @ 03:58 Eartha singing "Johnny wenn du Geburtstag hast" she sings this rough language in such a soft, pretty dream like vocal it's just soothing and beautiful as she.
German isn't always "rough". Stereotype. This song is a great example that German can also sound nice. Anyhow, she did an amazing job here. Almost crystal-clear pronounciation. German audiences loved her.

My mother looked just like her, had she been raised on Angus in Kansas. The likeness was uncanny. We lost her in 1969
Hey good day. Are you on Instagram and do you have a photo of her that I could see?

+Bastiann*Mol THIS is one of my favorite songs, her version of Jonny @ 03:58. She takes this harsh language and just melts it like butter.
Und Ingrid van Bergen, Gerd vespermann u Wolfgang Gruner.
