Whew! It was 97 degrees here today. It’s 12:30 a.m. now and finally down to 73. I think I’m going to brave the mosquitos and watch this out on the porch. Heading to Austin this next week to see one of my besties from college. We’ve known each other 48 yrs now. Lots of girl talk. I need that since my husband officially retired. Sheeesh! Lol

The card is cute, but I love the most is when you show what works and what doesn’t work out.

Cute! Don’t end summer too quickly! Still have until the 22nd, then we’ll have Indian summer to Canadian Thanksgiving in October, then autumn will hit us big time. 😊❤️🇨🇦. Right now we’re having poor air quality from wildfires in Southern British Columbia and Washington state. We desperately need rain without lightening! Haven’t had rain in Victoria BC since June
Just a friendly note. Not trying to cause controversy but hoping to spread awareness. Indian Summer is a derogatory term for Native Americans. It meant "false summer," similar to the term "Indian giver" which is also considered racist. Meteorologists now call it second summer which is so much nicer. ❤️🌈💙

I was once a big fan of mice, not so much anymore but I really LOVE Anita Jeram's penmanship/font in her sentiments. I used a Christmas one that I masked off for a welcome home card for my son-in-law returning from duty in Europe. It made it the perfect sentiment. My daughter said it brought a tear to her eye. I don't need you to sell my on Tim's pencils...all three sets are due today. WOOHOO! Your card came out super cute.
Well, we have mice in the winter… not by invitation. hahaha! Old house. Cold climate.
@@czdesign I think that may have been what put me off them. We moved into a 50 year old house almost 5 decades ago and it did have some mice in the winter before we remodeled. Thankfully we were able to plug all the holes.

Never saw blue, purple, green or red mouse. Gray is the way to go. Go with what you feel comfortable doing. It’s my paper…go for it

VERY cute card - love it! I have done a little bit of stamp surgery, but I do get nervous when cutting it!
I’ll never forget my first stamp surgery! It was a HeroArts clear greeting and I was trembling with my first snip. I’d watched Jennifer McGuire on video and felt she wouldn’t lead us astray. The results were perfect! So glad I’d trusted earlier surgeons and took that somber first snip!!

My first stamp surgery was also a Hero Arts greeting set, a Christmas sentiment. Boy was that scary! But it’s wonderful to know we can rearrange things if we need to.
LOL! I agree, it’s scary! My first stamp surgery was on a Stampin’ Up set; real red rubber. I don’t celebrate Christmas with Santa Claus, only about the birth of Messiah. But I bought a beautiful set because I loved the sentiments and knew I could use them on winter cards, as I live in the west and we get a lot of snow. I love snow! So yep, stamper surgery it was; trembling and shaking I cut into that red rubber. But it worked! I have a wonderful saying that I use on cards of pine trees dripping with snow!😂
@@ebriggs3498 I love snow. We moved to texas about 5 years ago, no more snow. Winter & especially Christmas are not the same without the snow.
@@ebriggs3498 sounds perfect! So scary, but so worth it! And surgery gets easier and less stressful with every one done. I’ve never regretted those cuts!

Cute card.If I did watercoloring,my mind would want me to color it in. Like just the hit of color. Wish you showed how you make the larger size envelope. Several times I have tried to do it, it didn't work out perfectly the way I wanted. Thanks for sharing.

I think your first attempt is salvagable. Add some more color over top and it might look grand. Maybe not as delicate as you planned, but you might get some interesting blended colors. Thanks for sharing!

I thought your first attempt was very cute!! I loved it. I didn’t see anything wrong with it at all! It was fun! The second card seemed more “safe” in the lines and not as exciting to me. Just my opinion.

I have to say… I’ve been watching you use the TE anti-static powder tool (I had/have the Rabbit Hole one) and I like the results you have been getting with the TE tool so I bought one and LOVE IT! Not only does it not over apply the anti-static powder, but I get less strays. Go figure. Love your card!

For the sticky stamp mat you use, do you need to use adhesive to keep it in place or it is self-sticking?

I like your card, but on my screen you can not see the pink you used for your second card at all. I like the brighter colors myself. Anita makes the cutest woodland creatures cards.
