You are such a good teacher, Justin. I learned many good things from this video. You have a great way of explaining things that I think people can relate to. Not many people can take a 3 note lick and make it sound that damn good. Thanks, and God Bless.
Your lessons are really interesting, I love what you do. I hope you will keep doing videos for a long time ! Thank you very much !! * sorry for my bad english *
I would love it if you did a lesson on ballads (be it rock, country or blues ballads), some common chord progressions used, how to properly mix major and minor in them to get the nice bittersweet feeling going, generally some soloing guidelines that would apply to ballads that don't apply to say regular blues, rock and so on, however I presume the next lesson course will be on rock guitar? I'm also wondering, what's your favorite guitar out of the ones you own?
Contrary to popular belief, a ballad is actually a song that tells a story. So a ballad could technically be a thrash metal song. The term can encompass any genre, tempo, chord progression, etc.
can you show how more strumming patterns when you are showing jazz cords. would like too see your hand more playing the guitar jazz cords .you are my favorite justin .thank you.
Just keep playing it will click. Just find what works for you. I can alternate pick my ass off and dance around the neck but can’t legato so I can’t shred
Hey justin, great course so far, i was hoping to add to your song lessons is #Funk49 by Joe walsh, Doing it with my teacher at the moment and thought that would be a funk song for you to teach. Thanks for the lessons so far i will get to the funk course eventually.
I've been writing songs but I don't understand how you can write music 4 lead guitar convert it to rythem and other I instruments could u make a video how to write songs 4 lead and rythem as this would help out playing with my mates thanks
90% of things come down to just sitting down and practicing. Trying and failing and trying again until you get it. A lot of people have big fingers (myself included) and have 0 problems with that. How did I "overcome" that? I just played a lot.
In acoustic guitar I have problems with F chord. It's not because I'm not flexible enough, but cause my guitar doesn't make any sound. I tuned it just in case but it doesn't make any sound! Please help me!!!
I just watched about 6 funk rhythm videos and Justin is the talented teacher by far .
It's amazing how you have explained all this in one single video. And this advice is soooo useful and insightful. Wow.
Great stuff, getting the rythm right first and then doing the accentuation. Drummer technique.
Much appreciated! Cheers 😊

This mans a legend, He should be awarded an OBE for services to the arts! (Or what ever it is they award people I t he arts)
I agree, he should be awarded an Out of Body Experience! =D
An affable right on subject teacher. If he was instructing on top sites Guitar Tricks and Jamplay he would be their most popular instructor.
Excellent tutorial
Thanks for the lesson Justin. Peace.
I think picking near bridge part for single notes is very good for a funky feel
I have learned so much with Justin... He is the best online teacher.
Nice man! I hope to get there too, i'm a week in now lol
I love funk guitar grooves and i'm really enjoying these lessons. ^.^
Glad you like them!
Please can we have tabs of what you have played on the video? Loved it
These lessons are so awesome!
David Williams is the guitarist on the don't stop I think?

In french, we call that a 'cocotte' line !!
im a new guitar player and i have trouble because i keep muting my notes should i go get lessons in person than online?
That's normal. Just continue playing then it should fade away.

Perhaps take it out of the case? Or failing that...put some strings on it maybe?? Haha
Different genre, but pretty much the way Wilko Johnson plays
Now there's a name I have not heard in a looong time . Wilko was a great player, - Dr Feelgood...right?
