Don’t often get the chance to watch in almost real time…to learn with a great human being who is also a unique artist! Best always buddy!
Thanks 😊👍
Oooh, so inspiring and informative, as always.
Your videos kick my backside as they remind me to 'loosen up' and drag myself out of the spireling rabbit hole of perfectionisum !!
Keeping your videos fresh and interesting after the best part of three years of posting, is an underrated art in its self. Full congratulations to you.
Thank you for halping and entertaining so many of us.
Thanks for taking us with you on this outdoor sketching session.
Any time!
This sketch brings me much joy. I'm grateful that you took the time to record your process. Watching your videos feels a little bit like I'm watching the modern-day Bob Ross... very calming and inspiring at the same time. Thanks for all the work you put into your channel.
Thank you so much!
Toby, I love your freeing technique. You allow a person to create art, not copy art. Just the style I’ve been looking for. Thank you. Have taken your free course and after I return from my vacation will purchase your online course. Wish I had time to take it before trip to London and Norway, but I will do the best I can at this level and will have a good starting point to work with. So, basically, I am taking you on vacation with me!! Ha ha
Awesome, thank you!
Love your videos Toby.
You really are a terrific urban sketcher and an inspiring teacher. Thanks so much
Ohh that’s how you use the brush with the water tank! Brilliant!
It's how I use it at least!
Love it!
I have the opposite problem. I tend to start sketching too small.
So now I draw disproportionately long lines to start. And I'm always surprised how in the end they are more accurate.
That's a great idea!
Thank you once again for this inspiring video. I’m always slightly “scared” to sketch outside and your tips help me to overcome my fear. So thank you!
Ciao Toby, thank you so much, I like very much your way of teaching 😊
Happy to hear that!
Two awesome versions! Favourite is the second one when drew with your paint. I’m going to give them both a go. Thank you so much. 🙏
I don't always understand what you're doing, but I love the end result!
Great, thankyou. Your voice is very relaxing, seems to help my infant fall asleep.
I hope you enjoyed your time in Bath, I recognised many familiar spots ❤
I did!
Really great video Toby! And congratulations ❤️
Thank you for showing me how to use my gray scale markers. Nice sketch. I like the idea of restructuring things toward the end. The second sketch was inspiring. Very nice. I enjoyed your trip outside. Have a good week.
Love this!
Awesome 👍😎
Such fresh approach to sketching directly in water color..love it
Thank you! Cheers!
Join my free course - www.sketchloose.co.uk/tendays - techniques you can apply indoors and outside :)
Inspiring to keep it loose and get out on location more often. Thanks for sharing your process.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for another really interesting and informative video. You made sketching outdoors look, although not easy, very achievable. A late congratulations to you and Tash on your marriage. Also congratulations on getting 100k + subscribers.
Thankyou ☺️😊
Lots of good information here. I bought a water brush but haven't used it yet. Maybe I'll give it a go...
Thanks for posting!
Have fun 😄
Perfect timing - I've got my first kit put together and rudimentary skills I've learned from you. .. BUT! I'm struck with shyness to do this in public. What if someone asks me if I'm an artist and wants to actually, gulp, watch me sketch? 😅
You've got this, very occasionally people will come over, it's usually a positive experience 😊
Loved this and has definitely motivated me to get outside and not sit comfortably inside 😊
Awesome
Dear Toby, thanks for sharing this with us. I wonder if you drew it from another viewing point because the perspective of the reference photo is different?
Hi, I talk about that in the video yes 👍👍
What is that palette?! I love it!
That's what I was going to ask!
It's no available anymore I'm afraid!
Is that a table that your materials are on, I really appreciate your channel.
No, its the Etchr bag
Try a watersolouble graphite pencil for your darks
So many things to try 😁
First 😊 👋🏼
:)
I wouldn't have 'penned' the second sketch ... you'd already crushed the scene with just a water brush ... both great sketches tho' thanks
I find it a bit embarrassing to sketch in public, people come over and look at what you’re doing, even worse if it’s locally and I know the people. Is this just that I’m quite new to it and not very confident or do you sometimes feel the same?
Deffo feel the same at times
