- Obuoba (or Ɔboɔba) J.A. Adofo and his City Boys Band were one of the stalwarts of Ghanaian highlife from the mid-70s to the 90s, releasing dozens of albums in both Ghana and Nigeria during that time. Adofo was the nephew of Nana Kwame Ampadu, the leader of the African Brothers Band, and he shared his uncle’s knack for great storytelling and prolific recording output.
The second track on this album, “Obere”, is very unique and different from the typical City Boys song and sounds much more like a Fela Kuti song. - เพลง

Thanks. I didn’t realize I’d made that typo. I’ve corrected it but still kept the spelling used on the back of the album rather than the true Akan spelling.
