@jonscoupe. See if u can get the 268bhp 350 coupe AMG version. It looks a lot more aggressive with the body kit than the norm version and the V6 is silky smooth and 40mpg on a run
I have had new gearbox oil. If you drive them briskly but not flooring the car, the gears are really smooth and change really smooth. My issue is when you floor the car from a standstill its the 1st 2nd to 3rd gears which are laggy when changing and not that smooth. But the gears are smooth and are quicker changing when you dont floor ut in comfort mode.😊
Your car looks fresh. I have a 59 plate 350 coupe, i love the power but im looking at getting it remapped. What engine mods have you got, mate? I subscribed to your channel, maybe you could put some more vids of the merc on👍🏻
I also took my grill off and sprayed it with black with a rattle can of plastidip. It looks good. And if your not happy with it, you can just peel it off 👍🏻
Your right i do need to do alot more vids of my car and be alot more consistent. I am at the limit with mods, its the torque converter holding the car back..700nm seems to be the limit at the moment.
Hi was considering having the stage 2 hybrid turbo upgrade supplied by venom, did you have to upgrade the exaust system and intercooler also for the turbo to work? Do you have any links for the intercooler and exhaust thanks
Venom do not do the intercooler anymore, they said mine was a one off..Think they still do the turbo though. Mine has the DPF plus EGR delete also. Had to have a custom remap after though.
@@arpadattilatilla6358 thanks for taking the time to reply, yes i went to venom and found out myself they only do the turbo now,i think they was saying it was because it was to much hassel,shame because to the average joe they would prefer one company to do the whole job, i found it to be to difficult to find out exactly what was needed for the upgrade and decided not to bother
@@paulk5242 Well even the turbo alone with the dpf, egr delete will no doubt get you same results, I only went for a intercooler because of the hot summers in Hungary. I have removed the rear silencers and had replaced with straight pipes also. The problem with Mercedes it's aimed at luxury so this type of tuning makes parts obsolete tbh. But mine has been faultless. In the summer it never goes below 40 mpg on the motorway and that is mixed driving.

@@paulk5242 I replaced the inlet port shutoff motor below the turbo, because it is a common fault.. Because a new turbo was going on seemed silly not to replace it, stops the juddering when say pulling away. Then DPF, EGR, Delete, then custom remap.. Definitely need a remap also.. Don't worry about the intercooler.
I got told that by a friend if he had a white one. I just dont like changing outside of the car..I like this style of grill , but i know people prefere the new style too..S class have the same style as mine.😊
@@EtonieE25 What i love the most on long journeys is the 80litre tank, watching everyone parked at busy service stations on the motorway, and i just fly by. Great cars. Plenty room inside the car, to spread your legs out and have a sleep. 👍

My friend has a X5 4.0d fully loaded in white. Can assure you i have never struggled with 640d's or many others including 550d's on the Autobahn. You have to remember my figures are similar to the Alpina D3 D5. My car is still going strong on 170,000 miles.

It was custom made by Venom Turbo's..I have been in contact with them, they said mine was a one off, another company actually made it...It's not a car many people actually tune like i have done..It's always BMW and Audi..Best thing i can do, is remove the intercooler and start getting them made.
It's abit expected on a tuned diesel. If i do not push flat to the floor, it's fine, it passes it's smoke test with no issues. And i drive more flat out on the Autobahn now and again to give it a clear out. I do not drive foot to the floor from a standstill, it is not my driving style.

I also found the gearbox slow on 1st and 2nd, I had a gearbox oil change and it was a night and day difference.

New style gloss black grill would finish the front off a treat.

Hi, The exhaust has had a dpf delete, plus the big heavy rear silencer's have been swopped for stainless steel straight exhaust pipe.

try a bmw f10 535d.even without remap and any tuning you gonna love it. 0-60 in 5.3 seconds

bmw f10 535d engine is way less reliable than om642 . if talking about bmw diesel then only M57 218hp .
