Should aim for the neck instead, the headshot hitbox is p big, so if you aim for the neck you’ll hit more shots overall and get good Crit acc still.
@@angellopez5315 nah bro during his ult you can’t miss bruh. So aim for the head, you won’t “hit more shots overall” cause there’s nothing to miss, if you don’t shoot the head, it’ll hit the body anyway cause that’s how the ult works. Your tactic is good for when NOT ulting

@@shadowshinobin8641 Emphasis on "if you know what you're doing". I don't play Soldier as much and I kinda figured out the basics. I can go up and if I'm not disturbed, I can kinda make arcs or jump up to something that needs a single rocket. But I can't accurately aim for a specific spot or wall-jump or traverse the map through the sky or any fancy stuff like that. Either it's very hard or takes long to learn, let alone master, or I'm just dog shit at it... Thinking about it, the thermal thruster is actually way easier and simpler to figure out for that stuff, but you do need to aim your jump for longer and can only make a single jump per use with it. Still, it's a good mobility tool.

On animating cancels he should've mentioned that you can hit the heal station button then immediately cancel it into your ultimate, so you can have healing while you ult. Secondly, you can place the healing station onto your teammates on low ground by inching towards the edge of where uoure standing and just hitting the button to drop it off. Very important and strong abilities he has tbh

They did, but it still only auto aims at the torso area so you still need to a a little bit.
I firmly believe every soldier in every video game should have the ability to rocket jump
One of the best tips for soldier is that ulting reloads the weapon. So you can empty the clip then ult so you don’t have to wait for the reload time
I always reload before using his ult, guess I don't need to
ult headshots for real? thats actually really big.
Essentially it encourages you to properly aim at their heads while still being forgiving if you miss and still hit them in the torso.

The rocket animation cancel can also fuck you, making you reload twice if timing isn’t perfect. I don’t suggest that one without extensive practice

I just started playi g OW2 yesterday and Soldier76 is by far my favorite!! The amount of utility solider has is insane.
Another thing is that if you have some free time between team fights you can slam your heal down and dmg yourself with your helix, building your ult a bit faster by healing yourself while not feeding unti the enemys ult charge
Oof. Slightly disappointed you didn't include the heal station ultimate animation cancel. That's my favorite one :D. The ultimate if used immediately after cancels part of the heal drop down animation.

you can also cancel the biotic field animation while activating visor just by pressing both at the same time
You can also cancel animation when you use his ultimate and throw down heals, the second you use his ult,
You can animation cancel the healing pad with your ultimate as well.
There's an additional animation cancel if you use your ult and heal at the same time
When you use the ultimate, deploy the heals at the same time, it is another animation cancel
You can also animation cancel the ult either heal or sprint!
I always go for the helix melee combo on tracers, it's hilarious 😂
Biggest mistake when playing Soldier76: Not playing Sojourn
Sojourn is boring/basic asf and pretty much everyone hates her

One other one is for long range, the first 3 or 5 shots have no recoil. So for long distances you can get a good shot on the backline from your backline

These are the most niche tips ever. Its not a mistake to not animation cancel but having shit positioning is and will lose you games.
@@dec1085 Not holding helix rocket and using it as an engaging tool, Learn how to track vertical falling targets (Lijiang tower aim trainer), Zig zagging with soldier sprint, General flanking and movement knowledge using sprint, etc. Look at an Awkward unranked to gm soldier video and that where you will get actually good tips.

The most important animation cancel you didnt mention is putting down heal pad as you use visor. It completely cuts out the recovery frames in the heal pad animation.
Also I feel like not a lot of Soldier players know that shoot helix rockets during ult will reload your rifle so you can empty the mag, rocket and then another mag.

Here’s one tip that I have if you’re really really close to an enemy crouch, and just keep on walking towards them while shooting trust me, I tried this before and it actually works
I thought his ult automatically aimed for the enemies head and all you had to do was pull the trigger I guess I was wrong

A better animation cancel is that you can cancel your biotic field animation with your ult, allowing you to quickly get it off just before you use jt

Aside of the last one these are very niche "mistakes" and would rather call them tips. Still informative so good job!
You should aim for the head while ulting if possible, but a big strength of soldier ult is actually that you can maximize movement without a loss in kill potential where normally his hitscan is about carefully balancing how much movement you do to dodge and how much aim you have by not dodging.
Basically you should always be minimizing your movement when you can to land shots and dodging however much is necessary, but since you’ll be focused in your ult you should spam the crap out of the most annoying to hit movement while being focused.
I didn’t know he could rocket jump, i thought his alt fire was a shotgun 😹

Wow, I'm old and didn't know about the headshots in ult. I must have forgot about it. Then again I don't play soldier that much
The #1 mistake new players make is actually having a way bigger impact than some animation cancels. People tend to not utilise soldier's insane movement. Get to highground, flank, whatever. Stay at your location for short amount of time and then reposition again
although you deal extra damage with headshots, the point of his ult is you don’t have to aim
Even the best players don’t average anywhere near 100% headshot accuracy. So it’s a massive buff regardless

Did you know that bastion can grenade jump
Could of been 4, most new soldiers and some veteran soldiers don’t use their heal enough. Always place it on the objective or on the payload when fighting, it will make a massive difference. I often finish games with nearly 2k healing.
Also if you know a 1v1 is coming, you can place it early and bait the enemy to go to you. Easy dps 1v1s
It’s better to hold it for yourself when you’re on the flank. There’s plenty enough healing in this game you don’t often need to use it for your team
