As a finance major, she is giving up all my secret, now irs will be knocking on my front door. Those days pretending to be underpaid to dodge taxes are gone. Damn you AI.
@@HannahCoziCornerHey, I want to do a business information technology or business management technology are these all the same degrees essentially? This question might sound confusing nonetheless they all involve IT just have different names so I was wondering.
Computer science should be easy to get a job with, also being physically disabled wouldn't matter, and I'm guessing you don't have a mental disability if you got a degree.
Thank you Shane for all the helpful videos you've shared with us over the years!!! I'm about to be a Computer Science major and the insight in your videos helped with that decision 😊
Was it worth it? I have certifications from the DOD, considered going to college for it while looking around for companies to work at for it, but ended up shooting for business.
Bc they require super intense long hours and on call always. 🥲 And it's a given... the most common to make money that ppl know about. But won't ever catch someone doing that for the money .. they won't last
@@Bill-ou7zpI disagree . I graduated with English Lit 10 years ago and still not broke out of $45k. My brother did math and finance and makes over $250k just 3 years out
@Bill-ou7zp so truee. Depends what you strive for, not everyone will see the purpose. A degree in english ppl won't see it as much cause you won't get for example a corporate high paying job with it. But you surely can be your own rlly good author now. Or help maybe even make text books who knowss. I don't. But those hidden agendas ppl don't think about. That makes tons of money too!!!
I would not call medicine a lucrative field. Sure, you get paid a lot, but you're sacrificing your mental and physical health for it. Not to mention the long hours and being on call. At least in terms of a medical doctor. Perhaps this doesn't apply for allied healthcare jobs. I really feel like medicine is one of those fields where you really cannot see it as just $$$, otherwise you'll burn out. You really have to love what you do
The total pay may be good but if you look at it from an hourly rate perspective its not good. Working 80 hrs/week for 120k is worse than working 40 hrs/week for 60k. The pay rate is the same but for one job you’re working twice as much just to maintain it.
@@cnorosco3301100-120 hours a week? My girlfriend is a nurse she works 3 12 hour shifts. Upon graduation she already had a job lined up making $40 an hour. It’s been less than 2 years now her pay rate is $52/hour. Medical degrees are still solid. There are a lot more options than just being a doctor
I'm sad that nobody ever says "Education" degree. Because, there are WAYYYYYY too many job openings in education of all kinds. Do you like Music??? Art?? Gym??? Computers??? Heck, work in the education field and you could deal in any of the above subjects and more. And with the RIGHT school and I emphasize with the RIGHT school, a job in the education field can be a lot of fun!!
Okay...I'm a proud computer scientist

About to graduate with my CS degree
Computer scientists are just the 'worker ant' slaves to the Queen (CPU/Motherboard).

Yes I’m proud of myself . Every time I hit a bump in the road I pray and just come back to this video.

Shockingly the ai likes computer science 😂😂😂😂
Personally a Computer Science and Philosophy double major. However having issues finding a job. Being disabled is an issue too.
lmao wasn't expecting that last sentence

Great new thumbnail, editing, enthusiasm, setting, the list goes on! Good stuff Shane keep it up man
Why are we not talking abt medicine here? I mean its one of the most difficult and quite high paying as well.....

@Bill-ou7zp there are people who only have a HS degree and make 2x that. It's called a statistical outlier.
Completely forgot about medicine, that is another lucrative and scalable industry.
Work hours vs pay isn’t a good ratio.
Working 100hrs-120hrs a week on call isn’t healthy even if it is 3x minimum wage
