I have this model sitting in the driveway in black with the oyster interior.
There is a shortcut menu that allows 4 favourite shortcuts, just swipe down from the top.
I have already added the deactivate start/stop shortcut. All you do is find the setting, long press it and choose add to shortcut menu.

I've got a 330i and just put it in sports mode, which deactivates the start/stop. I've ordered the X1 18i and looking forward to getting it in september. Great review mate

I do 5 hours research when I’m choosing a toaster so I really appreciated this granular review of the 18i. Was hoping they’d bring a hybrid here, as per OS, but no luck. Have ordered 18i phytonic blue, with oyster interior & 19” 867’s as tested here. Seats are terrific, agreed.
We only have the 5 of us in a car a few times a year so size is fine. Big purchase for us and am so excited! Thanks again

Hi Simon, did you get to drive a non-msport car on 19" wheels? There are none available for test drives in my market unfortunately.
If you drove one, can I ask how ride quality was? I expect it to be firm-ish at low speed which i don't mind, what I'm concerned about is how it deals with bumps at normal 50mph+ driving. For example does the suspension nicely cushion bumps at normal speed or does it lack pliancy and try to settle instantly after each bump, which can result in the ride feeling busy or fidgety.
Appreciate any feedback you can provide.

I have on order an xDrive20i M Sport with Enhancement Pack, black Vernasca Leather interior and the 20inch wheels in Cape York Green.
The dealer threw in the basic service pack for free which was great.
Car is waiting to board a cargo ship. Can’t wait!

Your missing a point on the touch screen as most options are voice activated. Say turn off stop start and it will go to the function in the menu

Thanks for the review, very helpful for me. I'm about to order it and undecided between 18i and 20i, which unfortunately where I live (Italy) is not xDrive but sDrive. Anyway it's a little more powerful and mild hybrid, so I'll probably choose the 20i.
In any case i'll order phytonic blue, xLine, with 19", premium package ad travel package including that beautiful sunroof.
Also undecided between oyster and mocha interior: I prefer oyster but with a 5yo child and a dog I'm afraid it wouldn't last long ;)

Ordered an IX1 full electric in Mineral White, xLine pack and Innovation Pack with 18's for more comfort - Delivery around August '23, can't wait!

iX1 in Australia comes standard with all major options and 19 inch wheels - I think the only options are 20 inch wheels, electronic tow bar and matte grey paint. I went for Mineral White, xLine with 20s and blue accents (no cost option). Our cars might be going down the factory line together as mine is also due for August :)

@fernandamoura6178 Congratulations, that sounds like a lovely colour combination.
My understanding is that with any function if you hold it for a few seconds it will send it to shortcuts which are activated when you swipe down from the top of the screen in any setting. So the stop/start activation can be accessed with a swipe and a touch if saved as a shortcut. I have seen other videos that show this.
The car is supplied with a puncture inflation kit. (Not mentioned in video).

I ordered the X1 sDrive 18i on 12/11/22 with enhancement pack, blue exterior and mocha interior. Suppose to arrive end of April 23.

Para mí uso es una buena potencia.
@@AlexSanchez-ke5ve Gracias Alex, aquí viene con el mismo motor de 150 HP y 230 NM, yo lo encuentro que es bajo en el papel, pero al parecer anda bien. Lo probé y en autopista creo que le faltará un poco, pero nada terrible. Una lástima que no llegue el 20i. Gracias nuevamente!

Hi mate, thanks for the review, this was super helpful for us to choose our new vehicle. My dad brought the 18i with enhancement package after test drive the GLA and Q3. FYI, he wanted to buy the larger 4 cylinder 2.0 engine model, but the dealer said BMW is not taking any orders for 20 or M line atm due to production delays. so pretty much can only order the base model 18i, but apart from the engine diff, the base line has all the bells and whistles, very impressive full tech well equiped offer by BMW, its just like a shrinked X5.

Great review. Just wanted to know if the basic model with M sport comes with a blind spot detection or we need add any other package?
You can’t get the 18i with M sport but blind spot monitoring is included with that base model. Enhancement pack gets lane & steering assist & head up display

In the UK, we don’t get the sDrive18i X1 U11.
However, it is offered in most other European countries, South Africa, of course Ozzyland, and others.

Just before Xmas I purchased the "BMW X1 Sdrive20i Xline" in mineral white color combined with black shadow line, and black Sensatec interior.
I went for the 18" wheels for a smoother drive.
Unfortunately (I am living in Belgium - W.Europe) the estimated delivery time is ... January ... 2024 ! 🤨
In your video you skipped the possibility of the "voice commanding" which would solve a lot of your problems with the menu.

A friend of mine in Belgium has just ordered the new X3 and the estimated delivery is three/four months (June 2023). Probably it's all about the model. anyway, here (in Italy) for the same model (X1 20i sDrive, xLine), which I'm about to order, you have to wait between 10 and 12 months, more or less as in Belgium.
@@wpipps9966 According to the dealer there is a chance that the car could arrive earlier = by October - November. Seems all overseas destinations, like Asia, America, Australia, get priority (for whatever reason). 🤔
How was the ride with optional 19”? How much would it cost for this upgrade and is it worth it?
sDrive18i: 18s standard, 19s are $2k, xDrive20i: 19s standard, 20s $2k. I drove xDrive20i with 19s and the ride was fine. I ordered an iX1 with 20's though. 0 to 100 in 9 seconds way too slow for me, so I was picking between X1 xDrive20i and iX1. It seems like it was made for 19s so I think that's the correct size to get but it would run fine on 18s so it's really up to you if you think better looks are worth $2k. Obviously I went 20s so I think it is worth it :)
Thanks ended up getting sdrive18i and stick with the 18”. Going for comfort over look. Cheaper to replace too.

@KR0880 I found the ride comfort fine with the 19' wheels. See if you like the ride first as that's more important than the cost i reckon
@prosserd 20's definitely look good, although tyres would be a bit more expensive than the smaller wheels.

It’s good design just using clean screen like Tesla without or buttons holding dust so hard to clean. Good reviews but you really should deep learnt how to operate the new car new system before publishing this review 😊

It's a very nice car. I was close to ordering the 20i M Sport but I instead put a deposit down on the CX-60 GT inline 6. Glad I didn't with that stop start being hidden in menu. 🤬
Plus it looks like the stop/ start be reactivated every time you start the vehicle 🙈

You can create a shortcut icon for it on the Home Screen, but you have to press every time you start.
